Emma_B Posted March 20, 2006 Report Posted March 20, 2006 It's good to hear other people feel like this too. Not for you all obviously , but at least it means i'm not just weird! xxx Like my German tutor told me, which I posted in the Support Thread, "Most, if not all, bright and conscientious girls feel inadequate at some point. Some of us feel this way all our lives. Don't despair." It's a sign of brilliance, feeling this way. It's because we have too high an expectation for ourselves. Only weird people are happy all the time!
Emmadolly Posted March 20, 2006 Report Posted March 20, 2006 Just crabbing out of the air, but are you three having your periods, or about to start them. Because most females have depression during these days..... Just asking out of interest. Because when my period is due or actually having it,, I WANT TO KILL. LOL. I know i have PMT, and PMS. so i recon that you all must have it also, if you are on at the moment, or if you are due on.
Guevara01 Posted March 20, 2006 Report Posted March 20, 2006 I started my period ages ago, but am not currently on, thank god. When you were younger you saw your period as being womanhood, and you were excited to get your first one, now it's just bloody annoying. Men have it so easy. LOL xxx
Emma_B Posted March 20, 2006 Report Posted March 20, 2006 Nah, I wish it was just PMS. I do get it, but this is an ongoing problem I am reall struggling with, and I am trying to get help for. It has its own very special roots in me, my past and my present, the way I see myself, the world and the future and I know I have to work it out. It's a little bit like everyone else belongs in their worlds and I am just fitting in, but any day now someone is going to find out. I'm not properly engaged with my life (in the sense of work, uni, home and things, the way I live) at the minute which is why I have no motivation to live it, to go to uni and things. And also why it is hard to motivate myself to change things, even though I want to.

I want to care, but more often than not, i just don't Lol, i know i should as well. No i don't have my period at the moment, it isn't due either. It may be because after i get my period i get this period of extreme happiness, then i'm just like let down. xx
Emma_B Posted March 20, 2006 Report Posted March 20, 2006 I think most people must get extreme happiness after their period! Another whole month til it's back! No wonder people believed it was God's punishment and called it the Curse.
Guevara01 Posted March 20, 2006 Report Posted March 20, 2006 Ha, agreed! I actually get more irritable when i know my period is due! Anyway, i have to go and finish watching Green Wing and go to sleep now. Night everyone!! xxxx
Emma_B Posted March 20, 2006 Report Posted March 20, 2006 Night night. I am currently preparing for tomorrow morning's class, the one thing which I am motivated for! And by preparing, of course I mean straightening my hair, as there are many hot guys in the class. I can look can't I?
Elise Posted March 21, 2006 Report Posted March 21, 2006 Just do what I do, I'm on the pill and have my period 4 times a year, yes it is possible, and safe, as long as you have at least 4 per year your fertility won't be affected. I just don't take the inactive pills. The pill tricks your body to thinking it is pregnant, so my doctor says it's perfectly safe. And it rocks! Whenever I cannot be bothered putting up with the excruciating pain that comes with periods ( it was always this way, but used to be worse, I used to get violently ill) I don't take the inactive (sugar) pills.
