MarMar Posted January 6, 2007 Report Posted January 6, 2007 That would be cool, if the calender was made to proffesional standards, you could probably market that xx It would be printed professionally, yes, but I doubt anyone would buy it
MarMar Posted January 6, 2007 Report Posted January 6, 2007 I'll make sure to post a link in here then
Guevara01 Posted January 6, 2007 Report Posted January 6, 2007 I think you'd be pleasantly surprised about the amount of people who'd buy it xxx
Eli Posted January 6, 2007 Report Posted January 6, 2007 Just a quick question, do you know how much a D50 costs? Because I love the results when I'm taking pictures with it, but I can't use the work camera at home... So I'm planning on buying a new camera.
MarMar Posted January 6, 2007 Report Posted January 6, 2007 I've had mine for a couple of months, and it cost me NOK6000 (app.) - But, it depends on what you want to do with it. There's no need to buy such an expensive camera for pictures of your cat, or a Christmas tree. You don't need a SLR camera for that, really. You can get a really good compact camera for less money with which you can still adjust some settings.
Eli Posted January 6, 2007 Report Posted January 6, 2007 Right now I have a normal digital camera, but I would really like to work more with photography (I don't have much experience, only a quick lesson from a pro photographer I work with) and get some really good pictures. The most important thing is that it's a camera with a flash you can adjust more than just "less" or "more" and that it has the zooming manually, not by using a button.
Eli Posted January 6, 2007 Report Posted January 6, 2007 Yeah, me too. Always causing problems. I was covering a story for two different papers yesterday, and had to take loads of pictures from the opening of a new store. The only problem was that without flash it was too dark and shadowy, with flash it was too sharp and bright, turning the flash up would have worked (because of the white ceiling) if it wasn't for all the pipes in the ceiling causing shadows, and then when I tried adjusting it I got reflections because there was things that reflected the light everywhere around the store (it was a store for baby-stuff, focusing on safety, so there were safety reflexes all over the place)
MarMar Posted January 6, 2007 Report Posted January 6, 2007 Oh, and, not that this necessarily has anything to do with you, but buying an expensive semi-pro/pro-camera is not all you need to get good pictures. You need more than expensive equipment - a know-how of techniques, knowledge of colors, composition and more.
