Jess Posted January 9, 2007 Report Posted January 9, 2007 Thanks, Amy. TBH, I just want it to be over now, so I don't have to sit here and be patient.
MarMar Posted January 9, 2007 Report Posted January 9, 2007 The results from the last of my three exams were released tonight, and I got a B in my methodology-course. Now, the grades are not the same as in other countries, it seems, so here's the grades and their descriptions: General, qualitative description of valuation criteria A - Excellent An excellent performance, clearly outstanding. The candidate demonstrates excellent judgement and a high degree of independent thinking. B - Very good A very good performance. The candidate demonstrates sound judgement and a very good degree of independent thinking. C - Good A good performance in most areas. The candidate demonstrates a reasonable degree of judgement and independent thinking in the most important areas. D - Satisfactory A satisfactory performance, but with significant shortcomings. The candidate demonstrates a limited degree of judgement and independent thinking. E - Sufficient A performance that meets the minimum criteria, but no more. The candidate demonstrates a very limited degree of judgement and independent thinking. F - Fail A performance that does not meet the minimum academic criteria. The candidate demonstrates an absence of both judgement and independent thinking. To compare it to a maths test... A is 100% correct answers. So, all in all, 2 B's and one not so good. Still way more than passed, but I'll take it again in February, because I know I totally missed what was being asked for and I know I know and understand the (huge) curriculum.
Pierced Musie Posted January 9, 2007 Report Posted January 9, 2007 They are like the UK grades. I used to get C's in almost all of my classes... except English.
Traceve Posted January 9, 2007 Report Posted January 9, 2007 They are very simler to Australia as well, a B is great Mar
Di Posted January 9, 2007 Report Posted January 9, 2007 Hmmm...since I'm a kinda regular in here, I just thought I'd let you girlies know that I have surgery scheduled for three weeks today...the doc. thinks I have osteoarthritis in my toe - he wanted to amputate part of it, but I said no. I have a chronic fear of anaesthetic, so I'm pretty scared. And, I'll be two hours from home. I'll also miss loadsa school, 'cos I won't be able to get to the Common Room 'cos I'll be stuck in a wheelchair for goodness-only-knows how long! * Rant over. Aww, bless you Jes, so way hope things go as planned. You make a speedy recovery and get back to your normal self very soon. XX Di
