Di Posted February 13, 2007 Report Posted February 13, 2007 Wow, the hair is great Mar, Congratuations again Mez and Joe . Thanks Kat for the huggs, and yeah, I 'll get there soon, one day at a time. What a bloody week that has been, I was in hospital cause, I have a bad case of inflammed kidney and Pyelonephritis . Even thou I have been in hospital, I still get to know the goss about my friends. I should have actually come home yesterday but become ill with pain and vomitting again, just as I was about to leave the ward. That has happened last wednesday,Saturday and yesterday, rest of time its just been very sore.(I just wanted to stay another night ,sooooo love the comfy bed and food to much, yeah Right ) pethidine is my new best freind, way made me feel drunk and way mellowed out . I'm also allergic to two other medications now, as well as (Diamorphine, which can kill me). I didn't have a reaction the the iv antibotics untill my third dose. when I had an asthma attack When I was given some anti sickness injections(which I'd actually had on Saturday and was fine.Cause pethidne can make you sick, I had a massive rare reation to it. That was waaaaaaaay not nice. I lost my speech and could not move my body,my skin went blue a colour and my nails went purple I aslo had tachycardia . It was awfull. last about a hour. I aslo have swollen and very sore wrists, cause both of my canula's become blocked.(wonders if Cal, or anyone else who's had canula's had the same problem? But I'm home and the best part I get to go and see Tom tomorrow, Not seen him s for a week. Spoke to him on the phone, but thats not the same is it. I'll shut up waffling on now.
Cal Posted February 14, 2007 Report Posted February 14, 2007 I aslo have swollen and very sore wrists, cause both of my canula's become blocked.(wonders if Cal, or anyone else who's had canula's had the same problem? Di, My Cannula's didn't become blocked, but my arm did get seriously infected after the first one I had put in. My arm blew up like a balloon and I had a huge white spot (full of green puss, might I add) where the needle was inserted. I was put on anti-biotics for a week after that. I hope you are OK and I hope your wrists will stop being such a pain! Mar, I think the 'Cherry Bomb' hair is so lovely! The colour really suits you. Mez, Congratulations on the engagement!
~Lynd~ Posted February 14, 2007 Report Posted February 14, 2007 [quote name='Di' date='Feb 14 2007, 07:50 AM' post='564055' I aslo have swollen and very sore wrists, cause both of my canula's become blocked.(wonders if Cal, or anyone else who's had canula's had the same problem? I've had blocked Canula's and lots of them!I have incredibly bad veins from being in hospital so much and having so many so they never last long so istead of going through the pain of it blocking and having to do it again every day almost i usually get get central lines which go in at the neck and can stay in for 3 months. That's a big help to me as it means i don't have to go through the pain of it blocking and the continious needles which i have a massive phobia of.Last time i had to have a needle for a test they still couldn't get it in after 3 goes and i was crying and hyperventilating so they had to stop.As illogical as it is sometimes i'm fine and sometimes the fear overwhelms me and i just get hysterical to the point of having to not do it.After a central line's in it should be fine for the 3 months and totally painless and if you don't need it for that long it can just come out. Merc, your hair looks great!
