~Lynd~ Posted July 8, 2007 Report Posted July 8, 2007 Ok ladies I need opinions...It was my B'day and i went to the club as usual.I like a guy who works there. We were justn talking as usual and it come up that i went to see Prescilla for my b'day. Not long after a the guy who hosts something they do come up and said he heard it was my b'day today and gave me one of those fake light up rose things and everyone sang happy b'day. My friend swears she didn't tell them which leaves him.I'm nott a big fan of the song but thought it was sweet, lol. Later on i asked if i could give him a hug to which he agreed to rather shyley...sweet...and i touched his shaved head.I'm obseessed, lol. He's like ''do you really want to touch my head again i let you last week!''.It's soft and feels really good,i told him my hands could be his beanie,it's cheaper. So later on he see's my friends phone and i asked him for his number thinking he won't give it to me. he was like ''are you serious'' and when i said yes he gave it to me...i was shocked to say the least, seeing he works there it's the perfect excuse not to give it to me..He just said not to call when he's working but besides that whenever. Now's the opinion side...I know how this sounds but what do you guys think it means?I'm not sure if it's for real or a joke though he doesn't seem the type. and then If i do decide to text what should i say? Ok,i'm finished thanks for the rant. Some of you probably know why i'm more then a bit weary, lol.Sorry for the long post.
carmelle Posted July 8, 2007 Report Posted July 8, 2007 If you don't text...you may regret it! You have nothing to loose by sending a text... As for what to say...if you're not sure...keep it general and when you get a reply...take it from there!!!
Bellsy Posted July 9, 2007 Report Posted July 9, 2007 If you don't text...you may regret it! You have nothing to loose by sending a text... As for what to say...if you're not sure...keep it general and when you get a reply...take it from there!!! I agree. Maybe he was just testing the waters. He might have thought you were joking, esp. if you were in a happy chappy mood. But you have the number, so the ball's in your court. Hit that ball back into his court. A text isn't threatening but be general, like carmelle said. But leave it open somehow. Give the fish a little bait and see if he bites!

Liz Posted July 12, 2007 Report Posted July 12, 2007 I´ve had a very bad break-up recently and have jumped into a new relationship. I´m 17 in a few days and the guy I´m with now is 31 in September. Opinions would be much appreciated.
claire_louise Posted July 12, 2007 Report Posted July 12, 2007 Liz, take it slowly. I think you should ask yourself why you're with him if you know it's too soon? (I'm assuming that's what you meant, please correct me if not!). If you really like him just take your time and get to know each other before you get too serious. That's quite a big age gap too...not for me to judge, but are you absolutely sure he's a decent guy?
Skykat Posted July 12, 2007 Report Posted July 12, 2007 Obviously I don't know the circumstances hun but my worry is that you've just had what you said was a bad break up and as Claire Louise points out this guy is a fair bit older. That itself isn't a problem if you really like him and he treats you well but gut instinct suggests its a rebound thing and if thats the case then you might not be ready for a new relationship. If you're vulnerable after a bad break up and he's older and paying you attention it might be easy to jump straight into a new relationship. Obviously that might not be the case at all but if it is, him being so much older merely increases the chances of you getting hurt. Without saying too much I'd worry that you're vulnerable at the moment and that makes it increasingly easier for someone older to take advantage of you. I might be waay off track but if anything I'm thinking is right, just be really careful and as Claire Louise says, don't rush into anything but take your time and make sure you're in the right headspace before you jump into anything.
MarMar Posted July 13, 2007 Report Posted July 13, 2007 Anyone here on the NuvaRing? I'm almost finished with my first week on the NuvaRing. I inserted it on Monday, and today, Friday, I've been getting some cramping. Actually more severe than I've had during my periods on the combined pill for the last 7 years. The cramps come down into my legs and are quite bad. I've never had spotting or breakthrough bleeding (not sure about the difference?) while on the combined pill. Do you think (I'm aware that you cannot know this) I'll be experiencing some spotting? Is this sort of cramps normal when switching from the pill?
