Pierced Musie Posted October 6, 2007 Report Posted October 6, 2007 That is the only thing that helps my period pains
MarMar Posted October 6, 2007 Report Posted October 6, 2007 Ok, that is freaky. I don't get that many classical migraines anymore, but it helps for whatever I get.
Guest [x]whacko[x]jen[x] Posted October 7, 2007 Report Posted October 7, 2007 Might sound silly but chocolate actually helps to
MarMar Posted October 7, 2007 Report Posted October 7, 2007 Not when your migraines are triggered by chocolate and other foods. Everything seems to give me head pain (as I call it) these days, but particularly fatty food.
Liz Posted October 7, 2007 Report Posted October 7, 2007 Might sound silly but chocolate actually helps to Chocolate, bananas and a nice, warm bath.
Marieh Posted October 7, 2007 Report Posted October 7, 2007 I'm kinda scared right now. Lately I've been feeling tired all the time and not having enough energy. I've been sleeping much this weekend, all night and some hours after dinner. I slept for 11 hours last night (woke up around 4 am and whent to his place, but fell asleep some minutes after I got there) today, when I was in the shower I fainted and just fell down, scaring him like hell. Can't really remember much of it other then him trying to speak to me, asking if I'm okay and then him giving me some water to drink. I've never fainted before so I was really scared when I got back again, and now I'm really worried because I'm all tired again and I'm afraid to faint or something.. Should I contact my GP or am I just overreacting?
flutterby Posted October 7, 2007 Report Posted October 7, 2007 It sounds to me like you should Marieh, better safe than sorry, someone I know had similar symptoms and turned out to be diabetic - I don't want to scare you I'm not trying to diagnose the problem or anything I just think it's worth being checked out xx
Eli Posted October 7, 2007 Report Posted October 7, 2007 I agree with Katie, better to be safe than sorry. It's probably nothing, but if you don't get it checked out you'd probably go around worrying about it, and that's not good either. Good luck!
MarMar Posted October 8, 2007 Report Posted October 8, 2007 To put things a bit into perspective. I've never fainted, but I was very, very close to fainting when we were in Hamburg last week. I don't know why or how or when () but I suddenly felt nauseous, dizzy and my eyes blacked out. It helped when I sat down. Then, I had to get up again (we were in the Hamburg Dungeon and the actor needed the stuff I sat on), which was totally the wrong call as it came back and I started hyperventilating and felt myself falling. I hate doctors. I really, really hate doctors and I never go unless I have to, as you know. T said he wanted to take me to a doctor, just to be on the safe side, but I didn't let him. He then said he would have taken me no matter what I said had I actually fainted. Here are bits of the Wikiepdia-article on fainting: "Fainting, also called syncope (IPA: [ˈsɪnkəpi] and [ˈsɪŋkəpi]), is a sudden, and generally momentary, loss of consciousness, or blacking out caused by the Central Ischaemic Response, because of a lack of sufficient blood and oxygen in the brain. The first symptoms a person feels before fainting are dizziness; a dimming of vision, or brownout; tinnitus; and feeling hot. Moments later, the person's vision turns black, and he or she drops to the floor (or slumps if seated in a chair). If the person is unable to slump from the position to a near horizontal position, he or she risks dying of the Suspension Trauma effect."
claire_louise Posted October 8, 2007 Report Posted October 8, 2007 Definitely worth going to the doctor, Marieh. It could be something quite simple like anaemia (sp?), but it does sound like there's something not quite right.
