MarMar Posted October 20, 2007 Report Posted October 20, 2007 LOL! Tell me about it - I know that feeling
Pierced Musie Posted October 20, 2007 Report Posted October 20, 2007 I'm ordering some books. Managed to get Fried Green Tomatoes by Fannie Flagg. 1p from Amazon Marketplace (with about 2 pound postage )!
MarMar Posted October 20, 2007 Report Posted October 20, 2007 LOL - yeah - The postage is very often higher than the book itself
Pierced Musie Posted October 20, 2007 Report Posted October 20, 2007 I don't mind. In the end it was cheaper to buy a used version than a new version
MarMar Posted October 20, 2007 Report Posted October 20, 2007 Yeah, and there's something.... nice... about used books.
Pierced Musie Posted October 20, 2007 Report Posted October 20, 2007 It's hard to explain why old used books are nicer. I think it's the texture of the paper and the smell of the books. It's like walking into a library
MarMar Posted October 20, 2007 Report Posted October 20, 2007 That smell is so sensual! I love the smell of books - new books also smell good.
Pierced Musie Posted October 20, 2007 Report Posted October 20, 2007 ... We are book geeks. Totally. When I read the four books of the Flowers in the Attic saga, two of the books were new and the other two were used. I loved reading the used ones because they felt so good to touch.
