Chapter eighty.

Gypsy was fast asleep as Nick cuddled his niece he looked at her and smiled. “Hey Lily, I’m your uncle Nick,” Nick said as he placed her gently in the cot. He looked over at Gypsy who was still fast asleep and he walked out the door to see Irene, Hayley, Chloe and Rachel running towards them.

“Has she had the baby,” Irene asked excitedly. Nick nodded. “Is it a boy or a girl?” Hayley asked excitedly. “A girl,” Nick said smiling. “Can we see her,” Chloe said as she rushed into the room. As Will was just running into the corridor.

Irene looked over at Lily in the cot. “Aww whose a little sweetie,” Irene said as she played with the baby’s fingers. “She looks like Will,” Hayley said peering in. “Poor sod,” Nick said laughing.

Will rushed into the room with the huge bunch of flowers. “Hey here’s your daddy,” Irene said as he very gently lifted Lily out of her cot and handed her to Will. “Hey little one, it’s daddy here,” Will said as he looked at his beautiful girl. Gypsy started to stir in her sleep.

Gypsy opened her eyes and saw Will standing there holding there baby daughter. “So you finally managed to turn up?” Gypsy said angrily. “I know, I’m so sorry, I hope you weren’t on your own,” Will said sitting down on the chair next to Gypsy. “No I wasn’t, Nick was with me,” Gypsy said smiling at Nick. Will turned around to his brother and smiled. “Thanks brother,” Will said smiling at him. “Have you decided on a name,” Hayley said as she looked at her niece. “God wait until you hear it,” Nick said laughing.

Jade and Sally ran through the corridor with Noah, Joey, Tiegan, Leah and Vinnie following, they opened the door and ran in. “Congratulations,” Sally said running towards Gypsy and giving her a kiss on the cheek. “Congratulations, mate,” Vinnie said slapping him across the back. “So what have you called her,” Tiegan said sitting down.

“Lily Nicola Sally Leah Hayley Tiegan Chloe Irene Smith,” Gypsy said tiredly. “Wow what a mouthful,” Irene said laughing. “Why Nicola,” Joey asked intrigued as he too had a look at his niece. “Named after my birthing partner,” Gypsy said looking up at Nick. “Yeah well you know, I couldn’t let my sister in law down could I?” Nick said looking at Gypsy. “I’m not your sister in law, yet,” Gypsy said looking at Nick and laughing.

With that Will handed Lily to Nick and got down on bended knee and got the box out of his pocket. “What the hell are you doing?” Gypsy asked looking down at him, “your making a pillock of yourself.” “Will you just shut up for once in your life,” Will said getting angrily. Gypsy looked at him like he could murder him. “First of all you accuse me of flirting with Kane bloody Phillips, then you miss your daughter’s birth, and now your telling me to shut up, well it better be a bloody good reason,” Gypsy said folding her arms.

“Gypsy Nash, from the moment I saw you, I knew you were the girl for me, you are feisty, beautiful, intelligent, funny and the most kind and caring person I know, so all that’s left for me to say is Gypsy Nash will you do me the honor of becoming my wife,” Will said as he opened up the box to reveal a beautiful diamond ring. Gypsy covered her mouth with her hand as the tears rolled down her cheeks.

Chapter eighty one.

Gypsy looked at him with her eyes wide open. “Are you serious?” Gypsy whispered. “I’ve never been more serious in my life,” Will said looking into her deep green eyes, “so what do you say, how would you like to become Mrs. Smith?” “YES,” Gypsy screamed as she put her arms around him and held him tight.

“Well this causes for a celebration,” Irene said as she wiped the tears away. “It certainly does,” Hayley said also wiping her tears away, “I’ve gained a niece and a sister in one day.”

Flynn entered the room and smiled at everyone. “Hey people,” Flynn said as he sat on the edge of the bed, “how’s my patient”? “Very happy,” Gypsy said smiling, as she looked at her future husband. “And so they should be, there getting married,” Rachel said giggling, “I’m finally going to get the family I’ve always wanted.”

“Well, this is a surprise,” Flynn said laughing, “congratulations.” “Thanks mate,” Will said shaking his hand. “So tell me, how was your birthday party?” Gypsy asked as she looked at her engagement ring on her finger. Everyone starts laughing.

“What’s so funny?” Gypsy said looking around at everyone. “Let’s just say it was a very eventful evening,” Irene said laughing. “Really? Do spill,” Gypsy said as she cuddled Rachel who had now joined her in bed. “Well it was Sally, that started last night’s procedures,” Tiegan said laughing. “Really and what did she do?” Gypsy said lifting herself up into a sitting position. “She found Tina shagging another man,” Joey said moving his hands around in excitement.

“NO WAY,” Gypsy said in excitement, “was it the same man we saw her kissing in the supermarket, Sal?” Sally nodded. “So what happened next,” Gypsy said looking at the others open eyed. “Sally and Tina traded insults and then she said something about Joey, and then Tiegan got involved,” Vinnie said getting excited as he remembered everything. “Oh my word, I bet Tina got thumped,” Gypsy said stroking a sleeping Rachel’s hair out of her eyes. “She did but not by Tiegan,” Vinnie said laughing.

“Not Joey,” Gypsy said as she looked over at Will who was cuddling his new baby girl. “Nope not, me, the one and only Sally Fletcher,” Joey said laughing. “NO!” Gypsy said astonished. “She slapped her so hard, I could hear it from the toilet,” Irene said laughing. “So what happened next?” Gypsy said moving closer and closer up the bed.

“I shouted out that I loved Flynn,” Sally said sheepishly. “NO! And what did he say in reply,” Gypsy said edging closer and closer to Sally. “Nothing, I dragged him into the bedroom,” Sally said laughing. “Go Miss Fletcher,” Nick said laughing. “OH MY GOD,” Gypsy said giggling, “marks out of 10?” “Gypsy,” Sally said laughing.

It was no the middle of the night and Gypsy was fast asleep, with Will by her side holding baby Lily. “You’re my little star, your daddy’s little star,” Will whispered to her as he kissed her on the forehead and gently placed her in the cot.

Leah was in bed when suddenly she felt a sudden pain in her stomach. “Vinnie,” Leah said as she pushed his back. “Mmmm,” Vinnie said sleepily. “It’s started,” Leah said as she pulled the duvet off him.

Chapter eighty two.

“What’s started?” Vinnie said sleepily as he looked up at his beautiful wife. “VJ, he’s on his way,” Leah said grabbing the bedpost as another contraction came. “Oh my God,” Vinnie said getting out of bed so fast he nearly fell over the bedside cabinet, “what do I do?” “Get the car, Vinnie,” Leah said laughing.

Vinnie ran down the stairs and picked up the phone. “Mum, its me, Leah’s in labour,” Vinnie said excitedly but also a tad nervous. “I’ll meet you at the hospital,” Pippa said excitedly. Vinnie put the phone down and turned around to see Tiegan and Sally looking it him sleepily.

“What’s all the noise about,” Tiegan said sleepily. “Leah’s in labour,” Vinnie said as he ran out the room all animatedly. “OH MY GOD!” Sally and Tiegan say in unison.

It was early in the morning and there was lots of movement at the Beach House. “Morning,” Irene said as she walked down the stairs happily. “Morning,” her kids said as they got some breakfast ready. The phone starts ringing. “I’ll get it,” Will said as he picked up the cordless phone.

Noah entered. “Morning,” Hayley said as she gave him a kiss on the cheek. “What are we up to today,” Noah said as he kissed her back. “I’m going to see my niece and Gypsy,” Hayley said excitedly, “I’m going to buy lots of wedding magazines.” “I can imagine it now, Gypsy wearing white,” Chloe said getting really excited as well. “Gypsy can not get married in white,” Noah said as he nicked a bit of Nick’s toast. “Why not?” Hayley and Chloe say in unison. “Because if she’s a virgin, then I’m flathead,” Nick said laughing as he got the juice out of the fridge.

Will walked into the kitchen, and looked at the others. “Is something wrong love?” Irene asked as she looked at Will’s concerned face. “Ummm, Leah’s in labour,” Will said looking at the others. Everyone rushed out the door, on the way to the hospital. In the car Nick started laughing. “What’s so funny, Shortie?” Irene asked as she concentrated on her driving. “I like the way Will missed Lily’s birth but he’s going to be there for VJ’s,” Nick said cracking up into laughter.

They arrived at the same time as Vinnie, Leah, Tiegan and Sally, as did Pippa, they all smiled and walked into the maternity ward. “Hey Leah,” Flynn said as he looked up from some notes he was reading, “contractions started?” Leah nodded. “How far apart are the contractions?” Flynn asked as he walked out from behind the desk. “Every five minutes,” Tiegan said as she looked down at her stop watch. “We’ve got plenty of time, come this way, shall I put you in next to Gypsy,” Flynn asked looking at Leah. Leah nodded smiling as Flynn took her into the room with Pippa helping her. “Aren’t you going in mate?” Will asked looking at Vinnie who was playing with his video camera. “She’s going to have the baby,” Vinnie said shocked and happily. “Yeah, get in there before you miss it, you won’t live it down, if you don’t, and I should know,” Will said laughing. Vinnie ran into the room shouting, “Leah wait for me.” Everyone giggled as they sat down on the chairs outside the room, it was true what they said friends were there for you no matter what.

Chapter eighty three.

Leah was standing up leaning on the edge of the bed, Vinnie was video recording her. “That’s it love, your doing really well, just breath it out,” Pippa said as she rubbed her back. “Babe, you look so good,” Vinnie said shoving the video camera up her face. “Would you stop shoving that camera in my face,” Leah said annoyed. Flynn entered, “I’m just here to check how many centimeters your dilated,” Flynn said laughing at Vinnie’s enthusiasm.

Jade walked downstairs into the kitchen at the Sutherlands house to see Rhys and Shelley standing there with there arms folded. “What?” Jade said as she opened the fridge. “Do you know what time you came home last night?” Shelley asked looking at her daughter angrily. “Nope, and I don’t really care,” Jade said flopping down on the sofa. “Don’t talk to your mother like that, young lady,” Rhys said as he slammed his cup of tea down on the table. “Yeah what ever,” Jade said getting up of the sofa and walking towards the door to leave. “Where are you off to,” Shelley said furiously, “your not leaving this house until you tell me where you’ve been the last two nights.” “Ok you want to know, I had mind blowing sex with my boyfriend on the beach, and then last night I helped Gypsy who had gone into labour,” Jade said screaming her reply out. “You had what?” Rhys said getting redder and redder. Jade just stormed out slamming the door behind her.

“So how many centimeters am I? 9 or 10?” Leah asked tiredly. “3 actually,” Flynn said apologetically. “3? Are you serious?” Leah said annoyed, she felt like banging her head against a brick wall. “The first stages of labour can be slow, your doing really well, I’ll pop back later to see how your getting on,” Flynn said as he left the room. “Did you hear that? Whose the bravest and strongest…” Vinnie started saying. Leah sat up bolt up right, “Here comes another one,” she said grabbing Vinnie’s hand. “Vinnie, get the dolphin,” Pippa said looking at her son. “The dolphin?” Vinnie asked confused. Pippa pointed to the table and Vinnie ran over and got and ran back. “Where do we put it?” he asked confused. “Pass it here,” Pippa said as she rubbed Leah’s back, “that’s it breath it out.”

Gypsy was in her room cuddling Lily and whilst looking at her engagement ring. “Hey little Lily pad, your mummy’s little angel aren’t you,” Gypsy says as she nuzzles her nose against hers. There was a knock at the door and Tom, Chloe and Hayley entered. “Hey, sis, congratulations,” Tom said as he carefully gave her a hug, “I’m sorry I missed the birth and I haven’t been in until now, I was fast asleep and I didn’t hear Chloe knock on the door or phone me,” Tom said sheepishly. “That’s the Tom I know and laugh,” Gypsy said laughing, “Are those magazines, I see?” “Yep, wedding ones,” Chloe and Hayley say excitedly.

Will and Rachel were walking around some shops near the hospital. “What shall we buy Lily then?” Will asked as he looked around at all the cute little outfits. “Something pink,” Rachel asked as she put her arms up to be picked up. Will picked her up and walked over to the girl section, and picked up a pink baby grow up. “How about this one?” Will asked holding it up so Rachel could see. “Its lush,” Rachel said gigging. “I’ll buy her the hat to go with it too,” Will said picking the hat up, “now lets go and buy you something.”

Vinnie walked out into the waiting room and Irene stood up with Nick and walked over. “How is she?” Irene asked s she leant on the front desk. “No change,” Vinnie said putting his head in his hands. “Don’t worry love, it will happen soon, yell if you need anything,” Irene said stroking Vinnie’s arm. “Flynn, I know you said it was normal, but she’s really hurting in there,” Vinnie said running towards Flynn. “I know Vinnie, but she’s coping really well with the contractions,” Flynn said as he quickly rushed into another room.

Gypsy, Hayley, Chloe and Tom were talking about the wedding. “So when would you like to get married?” Hayley asked excitedly. “I’ve always wanted to get married on Christmas Day,” Gypsy said as she kissed her daughter on the head. “Aww that’s so romantic,” Chloe said giggling. “And what about bridesmaids?” Hayley said winking at Gypsy. “Well that’s easy, Lily, Rachel, Sally, you two, Leah & Tiegan,” Gypsy said looking at them, “my best friends.”

“ARGH!” Leah screamed as she hanged onto Vinnie for dear life. “That was a big one wasn’t it?” Vinnie asked sympathetically. Leah nodded. Flynn entered. “I’m just going to do a quick examination if that’s ok?” Flynn asked as he got near Leah. “I just want it to be over,” Leah said exhaustedly. “Do you want any pain killers?” Vinnie said as he stroked her hair of her eyes. “Anything, I just want it to be over,” Leah said as tears formed into her eyes. Vinnie ran towards Flynn. “Flynn she wants some pain killers… Flynn listen to me…” Vinnie said grabbing Flynn’s arm. “Vinnie, it’s a bit late for that, Leah love your very close to having your baby,” Flynn said happily. Pippa and Vinnie ran towards Leah, in a few minutes their baby boy was going to be born.
