Chapter one hundred and twenty seven.

Gypsy stirred in her sleep and she sat bolt up right. “Will,” Gypsy whispered as she gently nudged him. Will stirred and gently rolled over to face his wife. “Yeah,” Will asked sleepily. “What time is it?” Gypsy said as she looked into his gorgeous eyes. Will groaned and picked up his mobile on the bedside cabinet. “Half two, now go to sleep,” Will said as he rolled over. “I can’t,” Gypsy whispered back. “Why? What’s wrong?” Will said as he sat bolt up right. “I’m wide awake,” Gypsy whispered back. “Count sheep or something,” Will said laying back down. “I don’t want to,” Gypsy whispered again. “For God’s sake Gyps, go to sleep,” Will said angry now. “I have an idea, why don’t you both bloody go to sleep,” Rachel shouted, “we’ve only got two hours until we have to get up, and I for one aren’t wasting it listening to you two arguing! Now Goodnight!”

As the alarms went of all around the boat, groaning could be hard especially from Tony, Jack and Luca’s room. “It can’t be four thirty!” Jack said as he put a pillow over his head. “Sure is son!” Tony said as he got out of his bed and walked wirily to the bathroom. Jack groaned, and rolled back over and shut his eyes.

Matilda woke up excited and looked around to see where her mum was. “Mum!” Matilda said as she sat up. “I’m in the bathroom sweetie, I’ll get you up in a minute and Happy Birthday, love!” Beth said through the door. “Thanks mum,” Matilda said as she snuggled back down on the pillow, “so tell me mum what’s going on with you Tony?” Beth smiled as she heard Tony’s name. “Nothing!” Beth said laughing. “Really?” Matilda said shaking her head.

Irene walked into the dining room for breakfast, as did Barry at that moment. “Morning Irene!” Barry said as he grabbed a plate. “Morning love,” Irene said as she too grabbed a plate. “Where’s the bacon?” Barry said as he walked around the cart. “The sausages?” Irene said dismayed. “The fried bread?” they said together laughing. “Croissant?” Barry said as he held it up to her face. Irene didn’t answer she just yanked it out of his hand with her mouth.

Gypsy, Will, Rachel and Lily entered. “Morning,” Will said as he walked over to the buffet cart. Gypsy went over to the table and strapped Lily in the high chair. “Why don’t you go with daddy and go and get some brekkie,” Gypsy said as she sat down wirily. “Ok,” Rachel said as she ran towards Will. Gypsy put her head in hand, she didn’t want to tell Will but she had a hangover, a bad one.

Kit and Robbie entered and walked towards the table. “I thought you had the card?” Kit said looking at her brother. “I thought you did,” Robbie said shaking his head. “This is great, its our sisters birthday and we haven’t even got a card, let alone a present,” Kit said rolling her eyes as she placed her head in her lap as she sat down. “Do you need a card?” Gypsy said as she lifted her hung-over head. “A card, a present and maybe a new life,” Kit said as she looked at Gypsy. “I have spare one in my room, I’ll give it to you later,” Gypsy said as she shut her eyes again as the lights were so bright. “Thanks you’re a life saver,” Robbie said as he kissed her on the cheek. “Ow my head,” Gypsy said as she held her head.

Irene and Barry arrived back at the table laughing. “What’s so funny?” Gypsy said as she looked up. “When I offered you the croissant, I didn’t mean for you to eat it,” Barry said laughing. “Well if you put anything in front of my mouth, I’ll either bite it or suck it,” Irene said looking into his eyes. Will who had just arrived at the table with Rachel spat his orange juice out. “Irene, what did you mean by that?” Will said shocked. “She’s using sexual innuendo, she’s talking about blow jobs,” Rachel said winking at Will. Irene spat her orange juice out of her mouth at this. Gypsy started to laugh uncontrollably.

“Morning,” Noah said as he and Hayley walked in holding hands. “Morning,” Will said as he buttered his croissant. “Have we missed anything?” Hayley said as she sat down. “Lots! It’s a long story,” Irene said as she shook her head. “Have we seen the birthday girl this morning?” Hayley asked as she waved her card around in the air. “How did you know it was my sister’s birthday?” Kit asked shocked. “I didn’t, it’s my sister’s birthday today,” Hayley said laughing. Kit smiled at her. Noah yawned. “Are we keeping you awake, love?” Irene said laughing. “Not you, just the time,” Noah said laughing.

Beth pushed in a smiling Matilda. “Happy Birthday!” Robbie shouted out. Gypsy flinched. “Yeah, happy birthday sis,” Kit said as she smiled at her sister. “Thanks,” Matilda said as she smiled at them, “Has dad phoned you?” Kit and Robbie shake their heads as they look at each other sadly. “Never mind, he’ll phone you later, I’m sure,” Beth said as her heart broke into two. “Yeah,” Matilda said unconvinced.

Nick and Jade walked in holding hands. “Morning,” Nick said as he grabbed a plate. “Morning,” the others said as they ate. “Are you ok, Jade?” Hayley asked as she looked at Jade who looked deathly white. “Yeah, I’m fine,” Jade said as she looked up at Hayley. “She’s probably hung-over,” Noah said laughing. “She didn’t drink last night,” Hayley said worriedly. “I’m fine honestly,” Jade said as she looked at Hayley and smiled. “If your sure?” Hayley said as she reached out and touched her arm. “I’m sure,” Jade said as she smiled at her.

Chloe and Tom entered, but Chloe was in a foul mood. “Happy Birthday, love,” Irene said as she got up and kissed Chloe. “Is it?” Chloe said as she stormed off and got some breakfast. “What’s wrong with her?” Will said as he turned around to face Tom. “Don’t ask me,” Tom said as he folded his arms. “Women’s trouble, probably,” Noah said as he scraped the last bit of fruit salad in his mouth, “Hayley’s a nightmare, at that time of the month.” “Noah!” Hayley said slapping his arm playfully.

“What’s the matter with you?” Irene said as Chloe put a croissant on her plate. “Nothing!” Chloe said as she slammed the plate down on the table as she looked at Tom. Chloe walked back to the cart and poured herself a cup of coffee out. “Nothing, really?” Irene said folding her arms. “Alright, if you must know Tom has forgotten my birthday!” Chloe said as she stormed over to the table and sat herself down. “A word please, Chloe?” Irene said as she beckoned for Chloe to come over to the buffet cart.

Chloe got up and walked towards Irene, as she did she gave Tom a deathly stare. “What?” Chloe said folding her arms and looking bored. “I know he forgot your birthday, but is there any need for you to take the engagement ring off?” Irene said half laughing. “What?” Chloe said looking confused. “Your ring, it’s not on your finger,” Irene said shaking her head. “Of course it’s on my finger, I haven’t taken it off since he asked me,” Chloe said laughing as she looked down, “Oh my God! My ring, it’s gone!”

I dont like Matildas Dad at all...he sounds like a real jerk...and we haven't met him yet I like the slow build up too....good work Penny...
