Irene and Barry

When Irene and Barry got together was the first time I really paid attention to Barry. He is now one of my favourites and I miss him when he isnt around much too. I think he is just a lovely character now and so suited to Irene. I hope they give him and then more to do and that they get back together soon.

I might try writing a letter to the studio as well.

My guess is tha Baz is doing something else - a play hence given him the time off.

I think that in the same case they are closing the main storyline's e.g. Flynn, the belivers in which started from the final

To do this our guy's are left to make small apperiances.

When alot of it's over hopefulley, They will each get a storyline to envolve around them, hopefully!

Terry i read your post and downloaded the (eppisode) i agree that Irene and Barry felt uncomfortablt to the fact that Beth and Tony moving into together, i got the fell of akwardness and wishfull thinking from Reenie.

I definitely picked up on that vibe.Irene was fiddling with her clothes and looked decidedlly wistful, I think Barry did too,and Beth and Tony don't do much for me either Terry; they don't have that spark, that magic, that whatever it is which makes them a cut above the rest.I am certainly missing Barry in recent episodes and he is conspicuous by his absence.I just love him to pieces. I tried to find out if he was doing a play so I could go and see it but I think I was too late as I expect he is back on normal filming duties by now ,given how far they film in advance.

I like Terry's idea of a letter campaign, and I am going to do mine as soon as I have finished chatting on here. I am a great believer in people power.

Beth and Tony don't work for me either. It was a given that Beth was going to end up with him and it ruined the surprise somehow...or maybe it's just me.

Anyway, bring Barry back! If he's not going be on air very much why is he still in the credits?

He is in the credits as he has a permanant contract, but they do get time when they are around less if they want to do other things. I am suprised at how noticeable it is when certain characters are not around. I hardly noticed when Tasha and Leah were away, well not at all if I am honest, but I have noticed Barry's absence.

My Mum (chatter box, and yeah she never shuts up) has written a 2 page letter to Daniel Bennett saying that she wants Irene and Barry back together. I worry about her sometimes, really I do.

It works between them partly because of the acting, but sometimes you can put two actors together who are great actors but it does not work. In this case it works. When Barry looks lovingly at Irene it makes your toes curl, and Irene melts in repsonse! It great chemistry. There are a lot of other good actors and I also like Beth and Tony as individuals and as actors, they just don't have that certain something. I also wish they would get them back together.

^^^ I've often thought that alongside to the fact it does'nt matter how perfessional you are, what i mean is if people get on alright or if they can't stand eachother it's going to reflect on their body languge, it can't be helped we all do it.

What i'm saying is that if you fell comfotable being near a person or not it's going to show.

Lynn and Ivar i'd say get on well.

Now back on track .

I don't mind Beth and Tony but thy haven't by any means got that spark and chemistry and that bit extra our guys have.

Like i've said before they may get a storyline later when the storylins at the moment have been covered, in saying this i totally agree i could imagin going a whole week without seeing Baz..

The idea that Terry started of writing a letter to DB is good, if any of the fans out of Aus want the address i've got it we can start a petition.

Please db has got to get them back together for our sanity's sake

I think that I agree with you about the chemistry and about the acting thing. I always thought that Kirsty and Kane had great on screen chemistry but I never thought of either of them as really outstanding actors, they were good but not as good as Ivar or Lynne. Sam was a better actor than Christie was I think.Whatever, they had the extra factor. It is really funny how some screen couples just seem to click on screen and others don't.

I was saddened when they split up Irene and Hyde as I think they were a good couple, and after KK they were the only ones who had that magic about them. I think it was a bad decision but assume they had their reasons, although the on screen reason did not ring true for me. They did split up KK and then got them back together a year later, so you never know.

I am not sure that it has much to do with whether or not Ivar and Lynne are good mates or not as some of the best screen couples in history have actually hated each others guts, and some have been great friends, and some have been more than that, there is no rhyme or reason to it. But, what ever it is I do agree that they have IT.

I have doubts that the writers will go for it, I do not know why except that I think that Ivar is not going to stay for an awful lot longer and either jail or death would be repetitve given what is currently going on. I think they will come up with something else. I hope I am wrong however as I think they have wasted a golden opportunity for comedy, drama and romance with Irene and Hyde, who have become one of my favourite couples in ages. Beth and Tony just do not have that je ne sais quoi.
