LOL...this has moved from will they wont they to what makes them tick. :D

I sort of agree about K/K as I don't think acting wise they are as good as Lynne and Ivar are but they have much to learn and they could be that good in 20 years time.

How do you define IT though? It's there, and we are all seeing it, but WHAT do we mean by IT?

I think its the fact that they do have IT, whatever the hell IT is, that is making for some frustrated viewers. Also because people care about the characters.

Sally and Flynn had IT and that was partly why we were devastated when Flynn died, also partly because everyone loves Sally, but they still had IT. Of the other couples I am afraid I can not work up much in the way of an emotional reaction for any of them. I quite like Dan and Leah but it is not going to upset me that they split, I am just curious to see what happens nothing more. Robbie and Tasha bore me to tears, Beth and Tony are Ok but don't have IT, I think Matlida and Lucas could have IT from the teenage groups but we don't get to see much of them. Jack and Martha are OK, but I think they are popular because of how they look not because of the IT factor.

If they could bottle IT or define IT someone could make a flipping fortune. :D

Scientists have discovered what they believe is the formula for creating sexual chemistry on the big screen.

Their study has come up with some surprising results - for instance that the Oscar-winning movie Titanic contained no sexual chemistry.

The academic experts boiled down sexual chemistry into its essential elements after watching a selection of romantic films.

Romantic comedy When Harry Met Sally topped their list, with a top rating of 10 out of 10 on the scale of movies with sexual chemistry.

Casablanca came second - scoring 9.5 - for the electric relationship between the characters played by Ingrid Bergman and Humphrey Bogart.

Films like Breakfast at Tiffany's (9) and Pretty Woman (7) also scored well, but the likes of Hugh Grant and Sandra Bullock's Two Weeks Notice received just two out of 10.

The newest film in the study, Lost in Translation, scored nine for "the subtle relationship" portrayed by Scarlett Johansson and Bill Murray.

Despite Titanic winning several Oscars, Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio were given a dismal zero, while Ghost, starring Demi Moore and Patrick Swayze, scored seven.

Psychiatrist Stephanie Charters, at King's College London, found that voice, eye contact, body language and excitement, which she termed VIBE, should be used to measure sexual chemistry.

I agree with most of these. i was disappointed in that film One fine Day, ages ago, with George Clooney and Michelle Pfeiffer, as the sexual cehemistry was like zero.

So which couple on Home and Away has or had the VIBE?

This thread has certainly gone off at a tangent today!

The VIBE thing is intriguing...and I used the word vibe in my last post too I see....LOL... I am psychic as well now...LOL..A friend of mine is hearing impaired and says she appreciates the actors who use their whole bodies when acting, not just theruir voices, faces, arms and hands. She says Ivar and Lynne are very good at this, as was Ella Scott Lynch. When she mentioned this I watched more carefully...and I really noticed a big difference in how people use body language..... a crude example would be like when someone is showing empathy...you know when someone tells you something sad and you get that sad feeling in your tummmy too...well the good ones will surrepticiosuly pull their tummies in or something subtle...you hardly notice it unless you are keyed into reading the body language. Ivar, Lynne, Kate, Ray, Lyn and Indiana are the best at it. I suppose its because they actually feel the emotion they are portraying.

As it to the IT VIBE, I think Shane and Angel had it, also Pippa and Micheal, Alf and Ailsa in a comfy sort of way, Leah and Vinne, Jesse and Josie, Edward and Peta, and at a pinch Will and Gypsy. Kane and Kirsty definitely had it. Of the current cast Sally and Flynn defintely had it, and Barry and Irene have it by the bucket load. I havn't noticed that anyone else really does at present.

My letter to DB has gone off btw...I will report back if I get a reply. :D
