I've had this idea in my head for a while now, and it's been annoying me, so I was wondering what you all think.

You know how Doctor's and General Practitioners have to obey their hippocratic oath and not share confidential information about their patients to others, well I was wondering, are there any similar rules for the police force?

The reason why I'm asking this does tie in with M+J. You know how in the stalker storyline, Jack has been sharing his ideas/problems with Martha, is he allowed to? Surely it must be against the law (no pun intended!). If it's not against the law for the police to discuss their case work/investigations, then surely Jack should be aware that by disclosing any information to Martha could jepordise her safety and well-being?

I can understand that she is his girlfriend and a way of dealing with stress from work is by sharing it but, considering the past history of the stalker, should he not be more careful?

Yeah maybe, but how else is Martha going to get her allocated screen time? I can't remember the last time I saw her outside a house and not wearing cleaning gloves. They've had that scene on loop for about four weeks now.

hahhaa I definately agree.

I think there are some things that aren't allowed to be disclosed, such as stuff related to the murder investiagtion. I remember awhile back, she asked him something about when they thought Robbie & Tash were Josh West's murder's & he didn't answer because he wasn't allowed to.

Also everything he tells her is just Jack's theorys/dreams/idea/his mind completely over-analysing stuff. All of the stuff he is 'up to' hasn't really got much to do with an offical police thing. It's like his own personal investiagtion.
