For the record Emily, I use ArcSoft PhotoStudio 5.5 I don't really know how to use it properly or all the different features it has. I'm kind of finding out as I go. 3 Lucas: As always, comments are most welcome. I use that program! How do you get the text to go upwards like that? Great work everyone. xxx Wow, I thought I would be the only one! To get the text to go upwards I just type it in the text box, get the font, colour etc. right and then go to Edit -> Orientation -> Un-tick all layers -> Then select the box you want. The thing is that once you choose the direction of the text you can't edit it. You have to undo it to make adjustments to get the positioning and make any other corrections. I hope that makes sense. I'm not that good at explaining. Thank you. It worked. xxx

I haven't been able to make an avs for a while, apart from last night. I forgot all colouring stuff I did, apart from the dark blue excursion(? begins with EX anyway) layer. So, I was bummed. lol. ANYWAY, i played with google, and got some pictures... They're random, I know. But I was bored and trying to remember. (And my sister has really rubbish fonts. They all have stars in...) I need to remember colouring. *slaps head*

sevenpuddings Posted September 3, 2006 Report Posted September 3, 2006 Aww nice new work guys... colouring is fun! - Just mucking around on Photoshop, playing with colouring. Matching Avatar, Sig and Headers basically. Nothing special. I added text, but felt they looked better without it.

I notice that some people are doing LJ banners and stuff... and they all look REALLY good! I've had a nosey on peoples LJ profiles, and they're all so pretty. I'd love to spice mine up a bit... but i have no idea how. I think the more experience ones of you make your own banners and things... but how do you do the whole layout? Do you get the coding off an internet site, or do you make it yourself? Sorry, should I make a new thread for this?
