I love the Charlie one, you've captured his personality perfectly with that picture , i also love the Dan/Leah one, although if i'm honest i'm not sure about the font. I love the fist Tammin set, the second one looks great, but i'm not a fan of the colur pink in general lol. I like the Tammin blend and love(!!!) the Sally avatar. Not sure about the Robbie ones, having said that though, you did only have Jason to work with lol!

I've seen you do this before, and I'm not going to lunge into a personal attack or anything, but I think you should stop. I think it's happened before with one or two of my avs (not that I understood why you chose them lol), and I've noticed on other occasions too. Now, sevenpudd's is a very clever and creative girly who I don't think would appreciate you copying at such an extent. Like jackandmartha!!! said - the same fonts! lol. We all like to look at each others work for inspiration - hell, I'm sure EVERYONE here has snook someone elses idea into their own av to help them out. But... I guess we might do it a little bit more subtley than you. lol.

Try to come up with your own ideas and designs, we'd all admire you much more for it.

Look, inspiration is a good thing, right? Or wrong because it seems like I've commited a crime. Its not like I used her pic...its not like I used her writing either? And same with the comments on the 1on1 artwork tournament...everyone says I copy but i don't...I may take ideas but I don't use the same pics. Bet you think I copied someone with my new Indiana avs, come on, say it cos you probably will. You guys seem to think all i do is copy with my graphics. I'm sorry but its not fair....so just get off my back.

As Cat said, I'm sorry if I appeared mean, I don't want to have a go at you but there's taking inspiration and then there is taking inspiration. Lets take the above avs that Cat posted as an example. They're gorgeous, and yea, it is always a temptaion to copy them to the point of being identical but that's not really your work then is it? And it's also unfair on the person who thought up the idea in the first place. If I was to take inspiration from the av made by Melanie27 then I would try applying a similar lighting and colour effect to another photo. Or use the same photo to make a completely different av or something. By that I can take inspiration from the av without using other people's ideas. If you look at Melanie's av and then your own, you've used the same picture, the same white box effect, you've desaturated the image just like Melanie, and added similar colour effects.

We're not saying everything you make you have copied. I love the work you've done where you've just had well cropped photos with colouring and effects - they're very effective (i.e. the Matilda avs, which I did mention that I liked).

If you do want to take inspiration from people's work in such a way that it's copying, then sure, do that to help you improve your skill or style, but don't post them as you're own avs, just leave them on your computer file, because, otherwise, it's a bit like using someone else's avatar and crediting yourself.

EDIT: Actually, I was looking at the one by one av tournament and I've seen other avs you've done that are just practically identical to ones made before. If you think it's unfair that we're having a go at you then consider the fact that what you're doing is unfair to the artist, since they, not you, came up with the ideas. Not only is it unfair, but no one will respect you as a graphics maker if all you do is copy other people's work. You seriously need to learn to think up your own ideas, because if anyone ever does praise an av you've copied, then really, they'll be praising the artist who really came up with the idea.

EDIT 2: Looking through your thread (whilst trying to ignore the copies), I realised that you are actually a great graphics maker, just please come up with your own stuff!

I'm shocked at the similarity between Cat's work and yours - but not surprised. Seriously, I've seen some of your stuff that looks REALLY similar to Cat's.

I've just been thruogh your stuff, and I've been able to look at a lot of the work and say "Blah blah's av.. Blah Blah's sig..." because it is pretty much the same as other's.

You're right - there's no crime against it. But, it is called politeness and common decency to not totally rip off someone else's work and claim it as your own. I know that I'd totally be unimpressed by the way you copied Cat's High School Musical banner (if I were her obviously) because it's ridiculously similar. Why should you get the credit and not her? She sat and did it, you just looked and thought "ooh I like that.." then opened your image making programme!

Please, just stop. And don't do all this "it's not fair" - because you're the one in the wrong. It's not fair on Cat and Sevenpudd's and anyone else you're copying off. So please, don't do it anymore. You have the potential to be great, but unfortunately to us that notice you don't have that reputation. You copy. How am I to know that you're any good? Prove that you are, come up with your own stuff.

Oh and sorry, I really didn't realise sevenpudd's had brought up the whole copying issue in another thread, I honestly didn't start it because she had already begun it in a different thread. But, I am relieved to see that other people have noticed.
