Yea... so if Sevenpudd's didn't give a tut... then that's not very good. I've seen you do this before, and I'm not going to lunge into a personal attack or anything, but I think you should stop. I think it's happened before with one or two of my avs (not that I understood why you chose them lol), and I've noticed on other occasions too. Now, sevenpudd's is a very clever and creative girly who I don't think would appreciate you copying at such an extent. Like jackandmartha!!! said - the same fonts! lol. We all like to look at each others work for inspiration - hell, I'm sure EVERYONE here has snook someone elses idea into their own av to help them out. But... I guess we might do it a little bit more subtley than you. lol. Try to come up with your own ideas and designs, we'd all admire you much more for it. Look, inspiration is a good thing, right? Or wrong because it seems like I've commited a crime. Its not like I used her pic...its not like I used her writing either? And same with the comments on the 1on1 artwork tournament...everyone says I copy but i don't...I may take ideas but I don't use the same pics. Bet you think I copied someone with my new Indiana avs, come on, say it cos you probably will. You guys seem to think all i do is copy with my graphics. I'm shocked at the similarity between Cat's work and yours - but not surprised. Seriously, I've seen some of your stuff that looks REALLY similar to Cat's. I've just been thruogh your stuff, and I've been able to look at a lot of the work and say "Blah blah's av.. Blah Blah's sig..." because it is pretty much the same as other's. You're right - there's no crime against it. But, it is called politeness and common decency to not totally rip off someone else's work and claim it as your own. I know that I'd totally be unimpressed by the way you copied Cat's High School Musical banner (if I were her obviously) because it's ridiculously similar. Why should you get the credit and not her? She sat and did it, you just looked and thought "ooh I like that.." then opened your image making programme! Please, just stop. And don't do all this "it's not fair" - because you're the one in the wrong. It's not fair on Cat and Sevenpudd's and anyone else you're copying off. So please, don't do it anymore. You have the potential to be great, but unfortunately to us that notice you don't have that reputation. You copy. How am I to know that you're any good? Prove that you are, come up with your own stuff. Oh and sorry, I really didn't realise sevenpudd's had brought up the whole copying issue in another thread, I honestly didn't start it because she had already begun it in a different thread. But, I am relieved to see that other people have noticed. If anybody remembers, I told her a similar thing a while back, but she didn't listen. I'm glad that people finally think the same way. Okay, Emily, please don't take this the wrong way, but how can it not be fair to you? It's not fair to us! You have to be original! At the moment everybody has a original style, but you don't. I know this doesn't happen with all your icons, but why do you want to make the same graphic, if someone else has already made it? There really is no point. How would you like it if you spent 3 hours making a wallpaper, and then suddenly someone comes along and makes the same thing with no difference, and calls it their own? Please stop this, and you'll find people will be appreciating your posts more. EDIT: Oh and on a good note, great work everyone! Too many people to comment on individually.

I'll freely admit I look at avatar styles and think 'Hmm, I wonder if I could make something like that.' and I'll try. But along the way I'll adjust certain area's to suit the picture I'm working with. And never have I blantly copied another artists creations. You neither used the same picture nor the wording, but it was there. Even the colour of the writing underneath was the same, when clearly you should have used another colour to make the wording more visable. And why didn't you? Because you copied the exact style of the avatar. As for the 1on1 thing, same text used, same style, same colouring. If you'd have made the avatar in colour, or used a different style text, or used on in B&W and the other in colour, then I'd have appreciated the icon more. Because then I'd have seen the creative side of you that we all know is there. Just because you use different pics doesn't mean any of the artists you've copied, including myself, haven't found it insulting. As many people have said, you've produced some brilliant graphics on your own, without feeling the need to borrow any one else's style, but you've also, on several occasions, taken what someone else has made and practically reproduced it, which is just not on. I've overlooked it in the past, because you have made your own work generally, and its been great. But you need to know its not on. I'm not on your back about this, I'm just stating how I feel, because I think you need to know that I felt really angry when I saw your Mattie Avatar, and then your 1on1 entry. Sorry if you find any of that insulting to you, or believe that we're all out to get you, or think that all we think about your avatars is that they are copied, because they aren't. You simply crossed a line this time. I really don't like bringing all this up, when this is basically a thread for art. So... - Aaron - I really like the Ric & Mattie ones you've made. The colouring is great on the darker ones, because dark icons can be so hard to work with, but you've pulled it off so nicely My favourite would have to be the last hand one, the colouring is great. For me, some of the others are overloaded with text, but thats just my personal opinion. Claire - I'm really a fan of the darker Cyan one the most! Seriously, its a wonderful icon! Also love the third, I think its got the right amount of colouring to look sweet and simple, great new work! I also love your first Tasha/Beth one, the colouring is awesome! Marie - Love the Kate Sig/Icon set, the colouring is amazing, the cropping is stunning, and the overall finish is perfect! Thanks for the comments on my work, there are tonnes more in my photobucket, LJ hated me so I couldn't be bothered to post them all. And Nicole, go for your life with the Max icon. I was so pleased about the flashback, I enjoyed Max when he was in the Bay!
