People aren't forgettig this fic, are they Krystal? :P

Everytime I see that it has a new comment I think oh Krystal has updated and then I get let down.

I don't think Krystal is going to update this again, but I could be wrong.

Chapter Thirty-One

"Still sleeping I see," Harry smiled down on Martha. "Well I just went to get the protection from the car, in case anybody tries to take you away from me again," He said stroking the little black gun in his hand. He stepped back and took a seat on the stool.

"You know I didn't listen," He started defiantly. "When people told me that I had to get over it, when they told me that I had to accept that you were gone on and move on I didn't. I knew that you weren't really gone. I knew that you would come back to me." The smile on his face grew wider. "And you have, they were all wrong. And I promise you, I wont let anyone take you again."

'Please don't hurt me!' Martha thought while trying to stay as still as possible. 'Who is he and why is this happening to me?'

"But it's not finished yet," he continued. "Jack Holden still has to suffer."

'OH MY GOD, Harry,' She had to stop herself from flinching. She hadn't known who he was, only seen him on a few occasions but from what Jack had told her he had made his life a living hell during the time after Emily's death. He'd been so relieved when Harry told them that they could put the past behind them, obviously that was a lie.'

[station]

Jack, McGrath, Fitzy and Laura were all standing around the table listening to the phone line that Martha had kept open. They could hear every word that Harry was saying. Jack just closed his eyes, trying to block out everything around him. He didn't want to be there, he didn't want to be hearing this and most of all he certaitnley didn't want Martha to be caught up in this mess because of him. When he opened his eyes Laura shot him the most bizzare look. She clearly thought Harry was insane after listening to him and what he was saying to Martha.

He couldn’t do this anymore. He couldn’t listen to this, it was too painful to think that she was there with him, and he could do what he pleased. It hurt too much to know that something could happen to her and it would be his fault. He pushed past Laura abruptly and walked out of the room. Leaning up against the wall he ran his fingers through his hair and cringed his eyes tightly closed trying not to think about how much danger she was in.

“We’ve got it,” A voice called from beside him. We’ve tracked down an address.

“From the phone?”

“Yes.”

“Well what are we waiting for?” Jack asked McGrath excitedly as he came out as well. McGrath ordered his men and prepared them but as he was getting ready to leave the station he saw Jack with them.

“Where do you think you’re going constable?”

“I’m coming with you.” He answered defiantly.

“Oh no you’re not, I’m not having this discussion with you again.”

“You’re damn right we’re not, because I’m coming.” He knew he shouldn’t having been speaking to his boss like that, but in this point in time he didn’t care. Martha was in trouble and she was the only thing that he cared about. He needed to see again, he needed to speak to her and touch her otherwise he would spent the rest of his life regretting it, that he knew for sure.

“Watch the attitude constable, I’m still your superior.”

“I’m sorry but I need to be. Please, see it from my point of view, I really need to go with you.” McGrath spent the next 30 seconds studying Jack’s face. He really was determined to go, and if he didn’t let him, knowing Jack he would find a way to go anyway. It was so obvious by looking at him that he loved her. “Alright,” He finally answered.

“Alright?” Jack asked making sure he heard correctly.

“Yes, as long as you don’t get in our way.”

“Let’s go then.”
