While I appreciate that Coco has a disease, I am sick of her treating Raffy so badly. Their friendship is so ridiculously one-sided, it is unreal.

Yeah, it's hard not to feel bad for Raffy and she isn't getting very much out of the friendship.  The only thing I would say to that is Coco's all she's got at the moment so I guess she's like a medium/long term investment sort of thing.  Putting up with the difficulties initially in the hope that the investment pays off.

While Coco's crush on VJ is cute, I really really don't want them  to have romantic relationship. I don't want them "fixing" a serious psychological issue with a relationship (like they did with Olivia's self harming being cured by Hunter). I also feel that it would be very one-sided with VJ having to constantly reassure Coco.

You could also argue they are doing something similar with Brody (even though he's doing everything he's been told not to i.e. dating someone whilst in recovery) and to a lesser extent Mason and Beth dating someone who's terminally ill which will presumably all end in tears.  So there's also a wider issue with romance presented as a solution to any issue whether that be physical or psychological.

So we have an episode where Ben actually wasn't completely unlikeable.  Given that he seemed strangely satisfied that Coco bailed on VJs surfing lesson I'm guessing another reason he didn't like the idea initially is because of his ego i.e. he wasn't the one doing the teaching.

If Scarlet does decide to go back into law it will be interesting her and Kat living together.  The defense lawyer and the police officer.  Even though Scarlett is right to be cautious about Robbo her attitude still bothers me.  So when she was pestering him to look into his past I was glad Robbo told her to back off.  So that's three of the younger females he's rescued.  Only Olivia left.

The main thing I got out of Friday's episode after streaming it from My5 is that I can't get the Vision Express and the Asda Halloween adverts out of my head.

So Kat and Robbo spend the night together.  Surprise, surprise - never saw that coming!

I've found Olivia quite funny when she got out of shape about not making any sales with her new online business but at the same time found her excitement slightly annoying.  I did like the brief exchange with Irene at the beginning:

"Rome wasn't built in a day."

"Rome doesn't have an awesome social media campaign."

I've noted that she left work right in the middle of her shift twice to focus on getting her orders out so it will be interesting to see if this affects her work at the Diner.  Is she still actually going uni?

So if Alf is going to look after Morag in the city he'll be gone for at least a couple of weeks.

Olivia's page had only been up for a couple of hours so she was being incredibly impatient. I saw the price for the dress that Maz bought  - £79.95 - a tad expensive for most of the younger market I suppose she is aiming at I would have thought. She did get another sale so maybe it took the one, Marilyn, to kick start it.

Probably right about Ben having his nose out of joint by VJ teaching Coco to surf but we all know how well it goes when dads try and teach their child to drive!

Just as I was thinking 'doesn't Beth have any family' as no-one seems to be visiting her at the hospital she mentions her mum to Mason.  Inclined to agree about the abortive kiss Mason wasn't expecting it and I'm glad he went after her and they did properly. Nice idea of having tats together.  Most of the time Beth is very upbeat but it has to get her down not being able to do what most girls her age do I think she said she'd been having treatment for five years since she was 12.

Another unsuccessful creeping out of the house only to get sprung, Scarlett isn't daft.  At least Kat is living with someone the right side of the law this time.

Plot definitely thickening over Robbo and his past only logical Kat would take him to the boat to see if anything jogged his memory.  I posted my thoughts on something Scarlett jokingly said to Kat a few weeks back it seems I wasn't that far off the mark. It would explain other things and something bad obviously had happened on that boat.

She’s 21, she started treatment when she was 16.

I started this episode kind of liking/tolerating Ash and ended it thinking that he's an utter jerk.Really, does he think he somehow has the right to dictate who both Kat and Tori are allowed to date?Maybe he should warn off Olivia's boyfriend as well?(Um, actually he probably should, but that's another story.)As John pointed out, this is exactly the same trick he pulled to sabotage Kat's attempt to move on.I was almost willing Robbo to deck him, although that would just have proved Ash's point so it's a good job he didn't.Tori's date was played by Ben Barber, who had a fairly unmemorable regular role on Neighbours a few years back (but did manage to get blown up by a faulty gas canister) as well as playing the River Boy who probably beat up Liam back in 2011.

It's typical of Kat that she needed Scarlett to remind her to go through official channels instead of talking to Robbo on the quiet, although Scarlett then loses marks by going blabbing to Robbo herself. In fact, she seems so obsessed with proving Robbo's no good that I actually found myself suspicious of her and wondering if she planted the gun herself! I don't think she'd be involved with Dylan though...and has he really not gone to trial yet?He was arrested over a year ago, and after taking Ash, Kat and Billie hostage I'm not sure even his contacts would have got him bail.(Did psych evaluation take time or something?)Anyway, if Robbo is involved with Dylan, that would explain why he had a photo of Kat.Still, something seems to have happened on the boat and there's no confirmation that the rest of the blood was Dylan's.Could there have been a third person there and Dylan attacked them both?(Probably not Rose, who died some distance away.)Or maybe he was never there and he gave the gun to someone else.

It's like Ash said just because he and Kat aren't together doesn't mean he can't still care what happens to her and Robbo is still an unknown quantity.  We all know that Tori isn't over her 'crush' on Ash, I did like how he knew her laugh was pretend and she wasn't  hair twiddling so definitely not interested in Colin.  You could blame Justin he told Ash all about Tori and her date and where they were and he earlier nearly put his foot in it by assuming she meant she was meeting Ash but stopped himself. Ash's  behaviour certainly wasn't subtle but then that isn't his style, just wish Tori would admit she loves Ash and stops pussyfooting around.  I can understand she's being sensitive to Kat's feelings, not wanting to jump straight in there, so why doesn't she just tell Ash that, he would understand.

For once Kat does do it by the book resisting the urge to tell Robbo first, but then as you said Red Scarlett tells him herself anyway, though he had pretty much worked it out for himself that he and the boat had a connection, there must be something tickling his memory at some level. Robbo comes close to losing it but apart from raising his voice hasn't hurt anyone, apart from Alf and Robbo was convinced people were after him at the time. Kat taking him on board didn't do anything to trigger his memory, he certainly looked shocked to see all the blood. The forensic team did a rubbish job at searching the boat  if  all it took for Scarlett to find it was to force open a sticking door! Scarlett is/was a lawyer so maybe she came up against, in a legal way, Dylan's dad in the past.

So Dylan  - the secret admirer Scarlett teased Kat about - though he was more of an obsessive than an admirer is back from under his rock. I thought the same Red - I was surprised when Kat said she was due to speak at his upcoming corruption trial.:o  He may not have any 'friends' left but I bet daddy pulled a few strings. I thought at the least he may have been in a hospital somewhere but if it was anything like the one Mick was in no surprise he's out.  He's clearly not over his obsession as we saw in the trailer, press cuttings and other photos and news on Kat, at least he's been wise enough to stay away from the bay. My theory is Dylan had some sort of hold on Robbo maybe they met at the same hospital, Robbo was suffering from PTSD maybe,  and forced him to kidnap Kat, hence Robbo having her photo, an official one at that, so he could identify her.  Then for whatever reason Robbo changed his mind, there was a huge argument on the boat Robbo got hit over the head (not hard, just hit in the right place) by Dylan's gun(?), thrown overboard by an (as yet unidentified) person.  It was Roses' boat so had she been kept hostage to make sure Robbo did what he was told? Not sure if her death was an accident, but someone covered her up.

Okay, so everyone seems convinced that Robbo's an innocent bystander, again. But from the ominous music playing over that shot of the box at the bottom of the sea, I'm guessing we're meant to suspect something else.I couldn't tell what was meant to be inside it, maybe some sort of explosive?Another odd reference to "Carter's CO" even though he was kicked out of the force: Maybe McCarthy meant "former CO"?You'd expect Kat to give more of a warning than "Dylan Carter, open up!" before breaking the door down, she didn't even identify herself as police.Or give him time to come to the door.Everyone seems to be acting on the assumption that Carter was on the boat but all we've been told for sure is that his fingerprints were found on the gun, which just means he held it at some point which is hardly surprising if it was his.No mention whether the blood on the boat was his or if his fingerprints were found elsewhere on the boat.Scarlett grabbing a knife when Robbo turned up was a bit over the top.

Ash came across as a bit of a harmless stalker with the way he was pestering Tori and trespassing in her home.I wasn't too keen on Irene and Leah acting like a pair of evil matchmakers instead of concentrating on their own lives either.

I don't really blame Mason for what happened, he maybe could have shown a bit more caution (and does seem to be in a bit of denial about how sick Beth is) but he gave Beth every opportunity to back out and she insisted on going ahead with it.It's not looking too good for her by the end, though...

Tori is so funny whenever she's in a situation regarding romance.  Her facial expressions and mannerisms are brilliant.  The way she was wincing at Ash on the beach, the way she hit on the guy and how she was on a date with him.  Even today when Ash finally told her that he liked her, wouldn't leave her alone and she refused to believe him and then she left him in her house and confided in Leah and didn't buy Irene confirming what Ash had told her.

Ash was also funny, trying to find out from Justin where Tori's date was, gatecrashing John and Marilyn's night out again which I give the writers a pat on the back for doing.  I even found his reaction funny when he caught Kat and Robbo kissing.  I did also laugh when Kat was confiding in Ash about Robbo when she thought he was in league with Dillon, Robbo walked over and Ash asked Kat if he should take care of Robbo.  As if he could.  Robbo took on Zannis and his henchmen even though they were armed.  When Ash was confronted with them before he ended up in hospital.

As harsh as she sounded Tori was right about Beth.  Mason is getting too involved too quickly and this is likely to end really badly one way or another.  Regardless at least he is only hurting himself so I didn't object to the skinny dipping.  He shouldn't have let Beth drive though.  It was extremely dangerous and actually very selfish.  What if she'd hit someone?  Although Mason often does things without thinking about the consequences.

Despite the video footage I guess Robbo and Dylan could still be in league with each other.  Is there any possibility that Robbo could be faking his amnesia?  I mean he certainly could have had it at the start but could it all just be an act now?

I do agree that Tori has a point but Mason's kind of in a no-win situation here to the point that I'm not entirely sure what she wants him to do.He's making Beth happy and from an objective point of view that's the important thing.Beth's aware that chances are she's not getting any better, she's resigned to it and just wants to enjoy what time she has left, and she's already made it clear that she doesn't want Mason wrapping her in cotton wool and stopping her from doing things because she might get ill.So I guess the issue is whether Mason accepts that, since he still seems convinced that she'll get her transplant and everything will be okay. He could well end up losing her and being hurt...but then, if he backs off from Beth, then he'll lose her anyway and they'll both be miserable.I see he tried Dexter's old trick of driving when it wasn't safe because his girlfriend was sick, although at least here it was dealt with fairly realistically and was far from smooth sailing.

So, the return of neanderthal Ben as he spends a fair chunk of the episode going on a witch hunt to find which boy is sleeping with one of his daughters, with Maggie not far ahead of him in the sanity stakes.I love that Leah has the sense to laugh it off and then talk with VJ calmly.I had to check that we're still less than a year on from VJ's 18th birthday but yeah, we are, they're not even there at Oz pace yet, so everything matches up. VJ again seems to distance himself from the possibility of a relationship with Coco...and she seemed fairly repulsed by the idea too! Still, they got there in the end, and while I found Ziggy more likable than Ben and perhaps marginally more likable than Maggie, again it felt like Brody had to back down slightly when she was the one in the wrong, with her only telling her parents the truth when they'd already guessed it.Mind you, I pretty much do hope that she keeps walking.

I thought maybe McCarthy meant to say PO? Talking of which why didn't anyone let the Yabby Creek cops know Dylan had going missing, I thought it was protocol.  Time line fits as it's  six weeks since Dylan was last seen and when Rose was found. Proof indeed Dylan is still obsessed with Kat and the connection, though at the moment tenuous, link with Robbo as in the photo of Kat.  Twice the expression 'you need to see this' was used. Very telling that CCTV footage of Dylan pointing his gun at Robbo also six weeks ago. Was that box seen at the end the same one Robbo was holding when Dylan held him up? I thought it may have been a bundle of money but that doesn't make sense as surely it would have disintegrated by now?  I felt Kat was right to tell Ash about Dylan being missing he had been held hostage by him after all. Robbo would have to be one hell of an actor to be faking amnesia, something would give it away he remembered something. His remark 'That's me' when he saw the CCTV footage of him and Dylan sounded genuine to me.  McCarthy did offer Kat an out with carrying on investigating the case, it is close to home for her.

Scarlett's reaction to Robbo showing up did seem OTT, he was hardly likely to break the door down, was she expecting someone else?  You've got me doubting her now Red, although it was a good few months before her arrival and them discovering Robbo in that cove she does appear to have got  herself involved in uncovering his history. Testing how much he would remember if his memory does come back and whose name would come out maybe?

Ziggy really does bring it on herself, Brody has been nagging her for weeks to tell Ben & Maggie the truth so they could stop sneaking around. The only reason she flew off the handle with him was because she knew he was right. Actually whoevers contraception was Ben & Maggie should be thankful they were being careful.  Strange how they both initially thought it was Coco and VJ just because they hadn't seen Ziggy with anyone. The way Coco and VJ were behaving in the Diner didn't scream to me that they were a couple having sneaky sex just a couple of kids working on their homework and being friends.  To give Ben some credit he didn't burst in there and rip VJ's head off just a quiet word with Leah who quite rightly said she'd deal with VJ.  Which she did very calmly and listened when he said he liked Coco but just as a friend. Very awkward conversation between Ben, Maggie and Coco with the 'Are you sleeping with VJ?' finally being blurted out much to Coco's disgust.  Of course then it just left Ziggy who had just decided to bite the bullet and own up to the fact she and Brody were an item.  One thing tickled me was when Ben remarked Coco was only 16 and Beth replied that he was only 16 when they got together and he gave that stock reply 'that was different' of course you are a bloke but wasn't Maggie the same age? :P

Beth did look lovely and Mason can sure rock a dinner suit.  Of course Tori is looking at it from a doctor's point of view and doesn't want Mason to get in too deep, though I think it's a little late for that. Beth knows her limitations but she did push herself a little too far, thankfully she had the sense to stop before they had a real crash. Anyway the hospital/her GP obviously think she's fit enough to drive just not as far they were planning too, even allowing for frequent pit stops.  Isn't is always the way there is usually a major incident which holds up the ambulance/police/fire service when you have an accident and are in the middle of nowhere. It was a tough call for Mas to make stay where he and Beth were or take the risk and get her back to the bay.  Of course he didn't expect to get that flashback of the last time he was driving and that was a near close call when he nearly collided with Justin and Tori.  Hope he got checked out too. Beth is more accepting of her condition that Mason is though he is good for her which while not being a cure does make her happy which makes the whole being stuck in hospital thing a lot easier to bear as she has her time with him to look forward to. Him splitting up with her just because Tori is concerned for him will only make both of them unhappy.

Now that  drama is over maybe she and Ash gave have a proper talk now she knows it's not a sudden thing with him deciding he fancies her. Just as long as they don't flaunt it in Kat's face even if she is with Robbo.

I've tried my best to like them but the Astonis really are just bad parents.Ben's a bully and I don't know what Maggie is: Someone who's read a lot of parenting manuals and thinks she's better at it than she is probably. Ben's attitude over the last couple of episodes has just increased my feeling that he didn't really mean that apology;he might not have actually pushed Brody up against a wall but otherwise his opinion of him hasn't changed. So it's a bit frustrating that Justin keeps seeing his point of view and even more frustrating that he's "won" and Brody has broken up with Ziggy for the sake of keeping the peace.I'm confused that Coco acted so surprised about her parents thinking she and VJ were an item when they'd already said as much to her, but maybe she was just trying to avoid an awkward conversation.

Again, I'm left thinking that Hunter and Olivia work a lot better when VJ's in the mix: His wry commentary made their scenes here, especially his casual "Title page doesn't count" which was Line of the Episode.(Matt Little does have great comic timing.)Not sure when Olivia thinks she and Hunter were friends, they were sleeping together about a month after they met. It's increasingly feeling like Raffy is better at standing up to Jennifer when she's got Coco to back her up and when she's not the main focus. Here, she's very quick to go along with Jennifer's "Let's be friends" thing when Jennifer was just interested in having a laugh at her expense. Not quite sure how they managed to get hold of the free drinks?
