Right, so you're OK with Roo and Marilyn just walking into someone's home but not Diana?  At least she's actually related to people staying at the property.

Yeah, but Roo and Marilyn would both have been invited in by the home owners (at other times) where as Diana would not have been by Ben. Just because someone is connected by DNA, doesn't mean they are welcome in your home.

Exactly harrietjames, their doors were open, Marilyn knocked on Robbo's van door shouting out 'hello'.  Roo was right behind Kat and she could see she wasn't well. Their places weren't empty. Diana, Maggie's mum or not had no right to hunt around for a key, left in one of the most obvious places keys are usually left btw, and let herself in, it is not her house.  Not as if Maggie has ever said to Diana 'if we aren't in, key is under the stone, so let yourself in', in fact it was her first visit there. She hadn't even been invited, just pitched up. They all soon bolted into the garden wanting to 'help' Ben rather than be with Diana on their own even Coco as they did the night before by dashing indoors.

A few innocent remarks by Alf, Irene and Leah got Diana all twitchy prompting Coco to tell all which she is now regretting, Ziggy, Ben and Maggie knew full well what would happen.  They were working through all that had happened. At least so far, Diana doesn't know about Ziggy's part in Maggie's attack.  She is just so damn critical of everything and everyone, so negative, no positive encouragement - no wonder they want so little to do with her. That week is going to extend into two, three etc - help! OK so Alf was turning on the charm with Diana, but if she is as ambitious on Ben & Maggie's part as she comes across she will be ruffling feathers.

It's good Kat has Roo to confide in, though Roo can't tell Kat what to do as Kat asked her to do, she can only offer advice. Robbo proved it wasn't a knee jerk reaction and did mean it, for now putting his returning memory on the back burner. He is very caring and does love Kat, maybe he has for a while which is why he couldn't kidnap her, only my speculation that bit. Kat, now she has had time to let it sink in, has made a pro and con list and Robbo seems more than  willing to step up to the plate, sounds like Ash in that respect re babycare. Wise start for him to move in initially to see how they get on living with each other.

No way was Mick moving to the other side of the country going to be easy. He  almost agreed to go until he saw Luc with Irene and Leah. No surprise Alf's mate was going to report back to him that Mick had turned the job down and Mick got an ear bashing in public from Alf.  Btw I don't think that will endear him to Diana.:D Why didn't Irene just take the toy for goodness sake, Mick was right Luc didn't have to be told who gave it to her. Instead she goes chasing after him, poor little Luc getting bumped about in her buggy.   Oh the signals were all there that Irene was ill, appendicitis, anyone, she was clutching her right side was looking flushed. Kept coming out with one of soaps/dramas biggest lies when asked how they are -  "I'm fine" when it is obvious to all and sundry they aren't!  On the kind of plus side it wasn't anything to do with Mick, he hadn't attacked or drugged her. Looks like he takes full advantage of the collapse by taking Luc.

Yes but it's not like Diana's estranged from her family either. She's presumably visited them at their old home in the past so I'm not sure that a change of address means her rights are suddenly void while Roo and Marilyn can happily walk into the home of anyone they vaguely know just because they've been there before. It's not like the Astonis have asked her to leave, so if they'd been home when she turned up no doubt they would have invited her in, however Ben (and Maggie and Ziggy) feels about her.I'm not sure that Marilyn knocking on the door going "Hello" and then thinking "Oh, he's not here, that means I've got the run of the place" is any better than Diana letting herself in to wait rather than sitting in the car.(Diana also knocked on the door before going in.)Roo's position is somewhat more defensible since she was following Kat in after they'd been talking outside.

Anyway, today.A few more brain cells seem to have gone missing, with Irene appearing perfectly lucid but waiting until Leah and Olivia turn up before explaining, while Tori somehow interprets Luc being left with "her dad" as meaning Ash (who's never called himself that) and doesn't bother to ring him and check. It was probably a good thing VJ was the one to find Luc, he handled Mick well when there's probably a part of him that would like to react the same way Ash did.But honestly, Mick breaks the AVO pretty much the first chance he gets and the police "have a word with him"?Is that really how they treat dangerous people out on parole? Tori's assessment of him seemed ridiculously optimistic.Still, there's a certain irony in him running afoul of someone else who doesn't care about the rules.

Well, it was pretty obvious that Mason was pursuing Beth's bucket list given the way it was featured in the recap.I'm glad the (incredibly nebulous) complaint about him has been dismissed. It seemed like he was a bit obsessive but his reaction on discovering the orchid shows there is some perspective in there. His burying the list next to the flower was a sweet symbolic moment and maybe closure in a way, but then he realises he didn't really want closure.Brody did a decent job supporting him (and so did Hunter, I guess).Maybe he'd have been better off spreading the list out but perhaps now he can figure out what he wants to do with his life: I can't see Beth would have wanted him to ditch uni.

I found Mason completing the list at the orchid touching. I’m hoping he can move on now.

Im also a little worried about te police and their reaction to Mick. Was Tori aware Mick was in the bay before tonight’s episode? I can’t remember. If she wasn’t, it’s plausible she thought he ambulance staff just put two and two together, as did she when told luc was with her dad. I was a little gutted Alf didn’t don his orange SES suit though haha.

So Irene has Gall stones. Unlucky but I agree with the previous post, she could’ve spoken out sooner about where Luc was. Now we have Mick in the back of Ash’s car and you can bet for sure he’s going stuff things up with Tori because of it. I’d love Tori to just be in a relationship and it work out.

It's interesting reading some of the comments about Mason.  It's hard to gauge how popular he is in this thread.  But from previous comments one thing I'm reminded of is how differently people view certain characters.  For me one good thing about having a break was that we didn't have to be subjected to any dreadful scenes with him.  Even the recap when he shouted "NOOOOOOOO" at the hospital reminded me how woeful I find the character.  And today I just wanted every scene he was in to be over.  i don't care or find anything remotely interesting about him.

I'm surprised Ash kidnapped Mick.  Don't really care about the moral aspect.  I just think given he has a criminal record and currently has a lot to lose it's incredibly stupid.

It's certainly not a close relationship, if it was wouldn't they have invited her down before? As I posted before their house in the city was bought by her and her husband for Ben & Maggie so she probably felt she had a right to walk in if she wanted to.  But this is Ben & Maggie's place bought with their own money so it is their home.  You certainly don't let yourself in, even after knocking, on your first visit. As for Maz she was just dropping off some food for Robbo, not poking around.

Not appendicitis then, but gall stones.  I think Irene was trying to tell Tori it is was Mick who had Luc but Tori kept sushing her and putting the mask back on her face.  How many time does that happen in hospital scenes when the patient is trying to tell people  something? Was a huge assumption from Tori about who 'dad' was, mind Ash did tell her he was on the way to pick Luc up from Irene's.  To give him some credit Mick did call the ambulance, he could have just taken off. VJ handled walking in on Mick holding Luc so well, kept calm, talked to Mick, not rushing him and persuaded him to hand Luc over. I do believe Mick when he says he would never hurt Luc, physically or otherwise.  But, even if he is taking his meds now,  what would happen if he stopped.  I have to agree the police's attitude was abysmal, Mick has broken the rules of his AVO just by being in the bay so should be back at the facility.  He's going to wish he was now Ash has got him.

Good to see another family - the Morgan's - Tori is over fretting, Justin is kind of blasé and Brody is kind of in the middle. Relief Mason can finish his placement rotation, though obviously it couldn't be at ND.  Right he was told but too soon yet for him to be thinking about returning to work/uni.  Agree Red Beth wouldn't want him to give up uni or being a doctor either.  Yes he wanted to go looking for the ghost orchid on his own but even if he'd been in a better frame of mind he definitely shouldn't have gone without anyone else. If he'd fallen off that rock face who would have helped him?  So good for Justin insisting and roping in a reluctant Hunter. Who knew Hunter was into botany as he found the ghost orchid just as Mason had given up. Was a touching little ceremony with Mas burying the list.  I think maybe Beth had already done most of them, although the tattoos she and Mason had done was a joint one. Now he can take time out maybe, then think what to do with his future.

I admit a part of me wanted Ash to do more to Mick.I guess he was trying to do the minimum necessary to get him out of town but unfortunately he promptly came back.I had a feeling when it set up Mason and co spending the night in the bush that they'd find Mick somehow.Had to scoff at his "I don't want someone like that near Luc": Ash wasn't my first choice for guardian but Mick is absolutely the last person who should be near her and I don't see that what Ash did here is any worse than the way he treated Irene and Billie. But then Mick's so self-absorbed I doubt that's even crossed his mind.I'm pretty sure Tori was involved in discussion on Mick being back in town the week before the break, so it might have been sensible to at least ring Ash and check Luc was with him.(Someone obviously found time to ring Leah and/or Olivia.)Hard to feel sorry for Tori at the end: Did she not at any point in the months (or did it just feel like months?) she spent lusting after Ash stop and think about the sort of thing he was likely to get up to?

Mason seems to be something of a hit and miss character among viewers: I really like him but I'm aware that a lot of people don't.I accept that Orpheus doesn't always hit the right note acting wise but he's not at all bad in the quieter moments and has been good the past couple of episodes.(And there can't be many actors who can do a Big NO without it looking ridiculous: People have been laughing at them at least since Darth Vader did it over a decade ago, probably longer, to the point that it's on the verge of being a Discredited Trope.)I was hoping his helping Mick would be an epiphany, but it seems it's not enough to alleviate his feelings of failure over Beth.

Ryder has snapped back to being an annoying brat, despite slight hints of past trauma.(Which I'm more willing to accept coming from him than as an attempt to excuse Mick.)I did rather enjoy Alf playing hardball with him.Seems he has an eye for the girls as Raffy quickly catches his attention.Isn't she a bit young for him though, or are we meant to accept her as the same age group as Coco?Either way, she was wonderfully sassy and I especially loved her "Raffy Morrison, normal human being" in response to his introduction.

I also felt Ash should’ve done more to Mick. Maybe the Ash of times gone by would’ve done, but he has Tori in the back of his mind these days. And her having a go at him was a long time coming. The fact that he outright said he doesn’t care about losing her that’s who he is take it or leave it was infuriating being as we spent weeks upon weeks of hi telling her he’d changed. As far as I’m concerned he can do what he wants now. I just wish Tori hadn’t gone back there but nevermind eh.

I really like Ryder... he’s a bit OTT with the opposite sex though. Which is just super awkward. I hope the fishing trip with Alf tomorrow is a turning point for him.

H&Alover, regardless of whether you knew the person would you be happy if someone just walked into your home?  I know I wouldn't!

Or Ace Ventura.  It's one thing if an actor is generally OK and just has a couple of bad scenes but for the character in question IMO there is consistent under-performance so the "NOOOO!" just adds to it.    Haven't watched the new Star Wars film yet but from what I've heard it's not great and if it's anything like the one from a couple of years ago then I'm not sure it's worth it.  The prequels didn't have the magic of the originals either although as films they were OK and Revenge of the Sith was pretty good.

To be fair to Mason he was a lot better in that episode.  Actually saving someone is far more preferable than seeing him suffer at losing Beth.  I'm surprised Hunter was so keen to help Mick given what he has done and Hunter's girlfriend is a sexual abuse victim.

I wasn't sure what Ash was going to do to him but it wasn't as bad as what I originally thought.  So he did have some sense and wasn't completely impulsive.  I laughed once again when Ash got annoyed during his argument with Tori.  I did agree with him though.  All he did was kidnap Mick and leave him in the bush.  If he Mick had actually fallen off the cliff I'm not sure Ash could have been charged with anything directly relating to that.  I do accept that Tori was absolutely right to raise concerns and confront him about this.

As was the case before the break finding very little likeable about Ryder.  His attitude towards Alf trying to engage with him was extremely annoying and I'm glad Alf put his foot down at the end.  Although like Coco I did really enjoy the scenes with Raffy.  Justin was a lot better about it than Ben's generally is.  Just teasing Raffy rather than threatening Ryder.

Robbo was actually in his van, he just didn't hear Maz, he was too busy cutting his hand. I think that is what is like in small towns/villages/caravan sites - people do walk in if the door is open. On the other side many a time folk have knocked on doors if they have been shut  or even open and waited until someone has opened it/asked them to come in.

I'm guessing, apart from knocking out Mick to be able to tie him up and dump him in the boot of his car Ash didn't touch Mick.  I'm blaming Mick in getting himself hurt, if you will go wandering off in the bush at night you're bound to do yourself harm. He did do well to hang onto that cliff edge all  night with a dislocated shoulder. Of course it was set up for Mason, Hunter and Brody to be there and one of them - Hunter in this case - to hear a plaintive cry for help. Just as well Mick is on the slender side and Mason, Hunter & Brods are on the beefy side so Mason could put his shoulder back in place and they could haul him up. Mason clicked into doctoring mode quickly, even with knowing who Mick is.  He's saying it hasn't changed his mind, but who knows.

Last we saw Mick was checking paternity testing sites?

Rather beyond Mick's control that he wasn't able to obey Ash's instruction to stay away from the bay.  Did Mick lie about why he was in the bush for his own, as yet unknown, purposes?  He had two chances to dob Ash in but chose not to.  Tori had her suspicions about what really happened - Ash coming home late, being a tad evasive about what he had been doing - something got her antenna twitching.  She could have easily buried her head in the sand but bit the bullet and confronted Ash, didn't quite get the answer she was hoping for.  Yes he admitted dumping him in the bush but said he'd do it again and more and if she didn't like it she knew what she could do.

Definitely something in Ryder's history, apart from him being a teenager, making his moods so up and down.  He's certainly a bit of  a ladies - or should that be girls - man/boy. Raffy would have thrashed him at pool. He did back off pretty sharpish when Raffy introduced Justin, Brody and Mason as her brothers!:D

:offtopic:Sad news that Jessica Folkholt who played Hope (Raffy's 'sister'/cousin) has died following a horrific car crash that killed her parents and sister. The tough decision was made to switch off her life support.
