Marc EH
Please forgive me if this has already been discussed but I couldn't see that it had been. As each year goes by, we are slowly catching up with Australian episodes. Am I right in thinking we will only be 5 months behind when the 2006 season starts? Also, what do you think Five will do when we get to 1 month behind? Do you think they will take it off at Christmas?
TabbyCool
We catch up by about a month each year. Once we catch up completely, we will have to have a break over Christmas like they do in Australia I suppose.
Drew
I think the you guys caught up two months over our break because we were off for about 8 weeks i think.
Amir
Yes we were off 8 weeks that means you caught up nearly 2 months.
TabbyCool
I never realised until I joined this forum that H&A actually take a break in Australia! I don't think any of the British soaps take a break between seasons, they are just on-going. Most of them don't air 5 night a week though like H&A. JaneDoe
Actually Emmerdale airs six times a week ALL year long and Coronation street has five episodes every week.
tessa305
...and then they do specials at christmas...even if it's at the weekend.
TabbyCool
Actually Emmerdale airs six times a week ALL year long and Coronation street has five episodes every week. Really? Things have changed since I last watched any British soaps then!
Ryan
Much bigger casts though, though they don't have "character" credits so it can be quite difficult to know who is actually on the programme at that moment. Actually, how many people are in the main Corrie cast at the moment. Deirdrie Blanche Ken Ashley Fred Bev Rita Les Cilla Chesney Sarah Gail Roy Hayley Norris .. . . . . . . Jamey-Maria
Trust me, once you catch up you'll wish you hadn't. The eight week break every year is excruciatingly long for home and away fans and i ohnestly wish i was in your poisition!
