The way that the voting was cut off so suddenly was stupid and inconsiderate because it was closed before some of us could actually vote. What if people who wanted to vote were waiting because they were busy?

The deadline for the avatar contest has passed and I was about to put the contest up. I have 9 entries but one of them contains text, which was one of the restrictions this time. I have PMed the person in question but they haven't been online for a while and I don't think they have got my PM. The dilemma is: 1. Should I post the contest and add another avatar at a later date if they send me a new one. 2. Wait until tomorrow to give them a chance to send me a replacement. 3. Post the one I have, even if it breaks the rules. 4. Be ruthless and disqualify them from the comp! As you may have guessed by my dilemma, I am a bit soft and not a ruthless person so I have trouble making these decisions!!
aejdude Posted February 28, 2007 Report Posted February 28, 2007 Erm well i think that you gave very clear instructions in my opinion, and you made it clear no text and they have just went against it so they should be disqualified. The problem is to add another one in at a later date, the new icon won't have been there as long as the others so it's kind of unfair that way. Plus they get more time than everyone else. You didn't say no text just for them to put text on it. So IMO should be disqualified. Others could think differently, just giving my opinion.
