When will the next one be up?

well i didn't know if everyone wanted a break before starting the 8th contest. Or would you rather jump right into it now?

On Live Journal, there are these communities called Last Icon Maker Standing, and basically, its an icon callenge when, in each round, each person submits around 3 icons, and then people vote the icons off, until theres one left. You basically say why you don't like an icons rather than why you do.

Okay, thats a bad explination.

But what I thought was that maybe that could be a possibility some time in the future for another avatar challenge. That way each maker could showcase three icons rather than one... and eventually we'd end up with the last BttB Icon Maker Standing.

Although it could be a crazy idea, I just thought I'd toss it out into the mix.

I really like that idea, Jess And it would help the people who made the icons learn how (maybe) to improved

Or maybe we do something different for the contest, i.e. something other than avatars. Sigs or something. I know some people can't make them/find it very hard to make them but challenge is what we want, right?

Agreed. Yeah, I thought that if there were three pics posted, one could be a landscape, one a random person, and the other maybe an artists choice.

And then, as people are voted off, they are given constructive critism, rather than 'I love this because of [enter praise here]'

I think thats a great idea too, something other than an avatar. Looking at the standard, I think everyone has improved out of sight, and are ready for the next step.

i like that idea also, would this be a seperate contest, or would it take over from this contest?

Maybe the whole contest could be changed into a "Artwork contest" rather than "Avatar contest" (if referring to the 'other artwork contest' post), possibly? But that's only if other people want to do so.

I think changing the title would be a good idea. Unless this is only going to be a one off thing.... but I hope not, as I like the idea of having more than just avatar contests.

Also, maybe I'm just nit picking, but I like the word challenge more than contest. I just think it gives off a nice vibe But then again, thats just me!

Nope, it's not just you Challenge sounds more....professional?
