Once again I haven't got a single vote :( :( :( :(

I feel the same way. Maybe I need to be more creative next time!!

Me neither, maybe I shouldn't do REAL heroes and start doing some schlub who is fictional and means nothing.......

EDIT: I did actually get one vote, but still disappointed with some of the entries, as creative as they are, most of them aren't 'heroes'.

But that's just my opinion, no one has to agree with me.

Yes, but whoever it is, could be a hero to the person who created it, e.g. I could make one for the contest that's of Sarah M Gellar, because she's my hero, and hence, means "Hero" to me.

We have to look at the creators point of view.

I don't have a hero either, so it's hard to make them of "real" people. When you are given just a word like that, and no more details, it seems odd that some of the contenders starts nagging because the avatars are of different kinds of "heroes".

Let's say the word had been "hero", but given details like "I want you to make an avatar of a real-life hero, not a fictional character", we would all make of people we look up to. For some, that might be firefighters from 9/11, for others their grandmother. Stop whinging for whatever reason you might find. As long as the contest holder is the one in charge, he or she will decide if more details will be given. This time there were no details, thus leaving the ideas and images to the icon makers only, and they will have to decide what the word "hero" means to them.
