Sorry for the delay, I didn't count for the time difference between America and the Uk and we got to the airport five hours before we got on the plane but i didn't know this until only couple of days ago. The flight was tiring, and i still have a bit of jet lag but i will make sure the contest is up shortly.

Ok, I've never been on a plane, and am going to sound thick, but what is jet lag?

Jet lag is somehting you sometimes get after traveling *alot* with plane and your body is confused..

It's to do with time zones too...so you might feel like sleeping at 3 'o' clock in the afternoon because it's nightime where you just left.

What I don't understand is why Ibiza is a two hour flight from the UK and has a two hour time difference, but Gran Canaria is a four flight from the UK, but there is no time difference whatsoever.

Thats because Gran Canaria is further away but is south and in the same time zone as us. Ibiza is slightly east so it is 1 hour behind Greenwich Mean Time and 2 hours behind British Summer Time (what we are currently on) I think

Its not really clear but even though gran canaria is slightly west the 'person' who decided time zones kind of 'manipulated' the line to include those islands!

Anyway, back on the subject of the avatar contest #9. I am not 100% sure where my vote is going to go yet but I am very impressed with all of the entries and what people have done with that picture. I didn't enter myself because I couldn't come up with anything that I was happy with.
