~Lynd~ Posted February 22, 2010 Report Posted February 22, 2010 It's about time.Alex is the best thing about the show by far.The other guy looks nothing like him though.JC is sexy as!
twinkletoesjess Posted March 13, 2010 Report Posted March 13, 2010 So it looks like Izzie/katherine heigl is no longer coming back http://ausiellofiles.ew.com/2010/03/11/gre...-heigl-leaving/ Im kind of disappointed and annoyed having read this. What does everyone else think?
-Kevin- Posted March 13, 2010 Report Posted March 13, 2010 ^^ That is beyond cr*p!!!!! Fair enough shes leaving, but Izzie wont even get an exit storyline. They should have just killed her off along with George in the season finale . Another reason not to watch Grey's, yay!! NOT
Lise Posted March 13, 2010 Report Posted March 13, 2010 I'm not surprised or dissapointed. Katherine Heigl has only managed a handful of episodes this season anyway so the show was going on without her. Izzie has become more and more irritating as the seasons have gone on. I'm still so happy that Alex finally stood up to her and I expect that scene to be Izzie's last on the show. Alex told her to go and never come back and that's exactly what she'll do. I know Alex has the storyline about his family coming up but I can't wait to see what else they come up with for him because his storylines have always revolved around Izzie. When Izzie took off this season Alex's screen time went down a lot.
twinkletoesjess Posted March 13, 2010 Report Posted March 13, 2010 I knew it was going to happen Im just disappointed that it has happened now rather than the end of last season As I would much rather have had George stay. I did like her with Alex though so I have found myself not liking alex that much in the recent episodes because I felt that he was cheating on her by sleeping with Lexie every now and then even though in his eyes the marriage was ended. His storylines have mainly been with Izzie like you said Lise. I found he did some really great work during these storylines. Your right episode twelve does look to have been her last so at least it will look as though she has honored alex's wishes by staying away. I wonder who Alex will interact with now as he seems to be a bit of a loner as the rest of the characters all have someone whether thats a close friend or partner. I hope he does venture more into peds as he does have the talent for it. I am hoping that the storyline about his family and history will bring him to the front again as he is too good to end up only in the background like george ended up being.
Lise Posted March 14, 2010 Report Posted March 14, 2010 I would have liked George to stay but TR wanted out so it was either George died or both of them died. A lot of people noticed that George was being isolated from all of his friends and I think it was because he was being written out but that doesn't mean you don't talk to anyone. I believe that Alex thought he wasn't cheating and he was probably right because he has no idea if Izzie was ever coming back. To him his marriage was over. I don't think he and Lexie are right for each other - in fact, I think the only person right for him was Izzie and she treated him awfully. I think that he belongs in peds. He is great with the little children and hopefully Arizona keeps pushing him in that direction. One other thing, I'm so happy they are getting rid of Reed. I think they have kept the right Mercy West residents. I really like Jackson and Cristina and I hope they go somewhere with that.
-Kevin- Posted March 14, 2010 Report Posted March 14, 2010 A lot of people noticed that George was being isolated from all of his friends and I think it was because he was being written out but that doesn't mean you don't talk to anyone. Yeah Shonda Rhimes said that George was written in season 5 as being very distant and not being seen onscreen much interacting with the other characters. She said that this was because she didn't want people to realize that he was missing in the season finale and his disappearance would fall under the radar! It was a good idea in theory but it wasn't a good move to have George's last season doing virtually nothing. He was always very involved with all of his friends but they just ruined that - for nothing!!
Lise Posted March 14, 2010 Report Posted March 14, 2010 Shonda's ruining her own show. I'm sorry but she is. George was always very involved in his friends lives and would never have abandon them. It was just ridiculous and totally out of character. The thing that annoyed me is that they only grieved for one episode (which I know was spread over a lot of time) but I feel like they grieved more for George's Dad than they did for George himself. They barely mention him anymore. It's like he never existed. Sorry for the rant but that's been annoying me for a while.
~Lynd~ Posted March 14, 2010 Report Posted March 14, 2010 You've just made my day. That news couldn't make me happier!
-Kevin- Posted March 15, 2010 Report Posted March 15, 2010 I really don't see Grey's Anatomy surviving much longer to be honest! How they could continue for a couple of more seasons is beyond me, for one the show hasn't got the same feel about it, and the friendships that were had throughout the first couple of seasons is more or less lost (George,Meredith,Izzie & Cristina all together were amazing). I hate the fact that the only original people from the little group left are Meredith and Cristina!! :( I miss the days when they all sat around Meredith's house partying and eating pizza. I preferred it so much more when they were interns, at least then they weren't so serious and were having fun.
