we should. Lets bribe them with cookies! Oh yes lets *Jumps up and down*.

sorry, got a little carried away there. <_< Is it just me, or, despite the good viewing, have the producers made some pretty big mistakes over the last 12 months? killing of Mel, Sophie and Joe. Dragging out many storylines. NOT killing Clare when they had the chance, getting rid of Sean, bringing in the valentines...... why do I watch this again? :P

Seriously though, I do think they need to check out the popularity of these there getting rid of compared to those they keep.

I think they've made loads of mistakes. They dragged out the Justin/Becca thing for all it was worth (i hated that storyline as they split up Jake and Becca and ruined her character in the process), they've kept Clare on despite them having the perfect opportunity to finally get rid of her, they hired the Valentines who are all rubbish. I think they made a mistake too of killing Olivia (i liked her so much) and getting rid of Jez after such a short amount of time after giving them both absolutely nothing to do for the year they were in it. They had loads more potential and would have been more popular if they'd bothered to develop the characters a bit more.

And we watch it for the realism (yeah right, we watch it for the escapism and the very good looking people)

agreed! The 'realism' is in fact 'fakism' :P. We watch it because it gives us chance to escape our own world for half an hour (Or and hour) a day and be part of a different world. Ironically, that world always seems worse off than ours. <_< lol.

Anyway, I'm off now. bed time. night all xxxxx

i totally agree. i'm fed up of everyone i like getting killed. next thing you no is they will be killing off max, ob, craig, JP and kris. then giving justin, sunny and warren along with all the other boring character dull and very un-interesting SL.

Exactly. When Mandy left, they knew they were losing a popular character, as everyone loved Mandy, so they decided to focus all their atttention on Justin and Becca. Sure, we knew they were going to have a major storyline but was it really necassary(sp?) to give them so much screen time?

OK, So we can't really complain about characters such as Max, OB, Craig and JP not getting storylines, but what will become of them once the storyline's over? Is it going to result in yet more popular characters leaving Hollyoaks, until we're left with dreary adults and teenagers that whinge so much we end up hating them?

If you ask me, they let us down when they sent Justin off the rails second time round after the twins died. We all expected him to go off the rails, it was blatantly obvious. But instead of making it into what could have been a potentially good storyline of a teenage boy struggling to deal with death of his sisters, they turned it into a boring Becca/Justin thing. Instead of focusing in their relationship failing because Becca didn't truly love him, I'd have liked to seen him perhaps start with the drugs again and going into a downward spiral again. After all, when he used the drugs first time around, he had difficulty getting off them right? so how, in all this activity, has the temptation not proved too much? I'm surprised they haven't brought it back up again. <_<

Now I'm rambling...... :P

God you have got such a good memory. Was the drug problem when his step-brother died!! you never know when becca dies that could happen. God how boring would that be yet another main SL based around Justin!

I think when the whole Clare thing ends they are 3 things that could happen

1. Someone could leave.

2 someone could die

3. They could stay but we won’t see them for ages.

All out comes I don’t like. And them they will bring in more irritating adults and more whinge teenagers.

Justin started on the drugs after he discovered his mum and one of his sisters (Forgot which one) didn't tell him that his Dad had committed suicide and that they kept it from him all those years. He started actinmg up and being a brat. He then got involve with Macki's gang and the drugs, which sent him to boot camp. When he recovered and appeared to be getting his life back track, but Macki was pressuring him and being racist towards Ali. Ali, who eventually had enough of it, bought a knife to protect himself against Macki. When Justin realised Ali had gone out one day, he knew he'd gone after Macki. He found them just as Ali had stabbed Macki. Because he wanted to protect Ali, he told him to run, but as he did he ran into the middle of the road and was run over by a car, which was how Ali died. Justin didn't go back to the drugs, instead he got arrested for Macki's murder. He was held until the trial, when he was found not guilty. It wasn;t long after that the whole Becca/Justin stuff really began.

As for the Clare thing, I hope it's her who dies!

Also, I've just watched an episode of Doctors. Sarah Dunn plays a really bitchy receptionist, it was odd seeing her be nasty, I'm used to her being kind to people.
