I know a lot of people won't agree with me, but I actually think it would have been better to recast Liz rather than have her absent. No one would miss their childrens' funeral. In reality if she'd been too ill to attend they would have postponed it.

I agree. Although I didn't see the funeral, I don't think a parent would miss it under any circumstances. Recasting was the best option, but maybe not the most logical for the writers/casting people.

I know form this weeks Inside Soap that she takes some pills in an attempt to get rid of the baby. I think it also said she ends up going to the doctors as the pills she took make her sick
