Oxidizer Posted September 25, 2007 Report Posted September 25, 2007 I loved Gucci! She was one of my favorite characters. I wonder if that show would've been more successful if Ben and Lisa weren't in it and it wasn't associated with Hollyoaks?

I liked Ben and Lisa together in Hollyoaks (i went off Lisa almost completely after her affair with Jake) and i was pleased they ended up together, but i hated them in In The City as they seem to change completely. Lisa wasn't the nice, sensitive girl who used to self harm, she was a bitchy, moody selfish cow only interested in money (basically they turned her into Ellie). Ben just became pathetic and even worse when he got with waste of space Polly. I didn't really see the point in basing a show around a couple who two episodes in split up and then had no scenes together until the very end. They should have just left Hollyoaks a happy couple. In The City would have been better if it focused on Burton, Gucci and Jake (Gucci supposedly gay model mate who snogged her). They were much better characters.

And I liked Gucci's panic alarm! "It's designer. It has a torch, tells the time *and* has a make-up mirror!" Burton was awesome too. He was definitely one of the more original characters. Shame they didn't leave Ben and Lisa with the other H/O spin-offs and had ITC as its own series. Kay could've easily have been the main character of the show - and they still could've killed her off - it would've had a bit more impact and kept her in it for a few more episodes. ...Now I'm all nostalgic! Methinks a trip to YouTube is in order.
Danifan Posted September 26, 2007 Report Posted September 26, 2007 Strangely when they were in Brookside i liked Philip Olivier (Tim) but couldn't stand Leon Lopez (Jerome) but in ITC i found Adam really depressing a lot of the time but i quite liked Tank Top (stupid nickname). Although neither were as bad as Precious and Polly. I'm sad to have read in Inside Soap that it's been confirmed Darren Jefferies (OB) is leaving And even sadder that there still seems to be no Russ/Tina forbidden love storyline on the horizon, i'd love to see Mercedes' face if Russ was to announce he was in love with the so called 'plain' sister.
Danifan Posted October 12, 2007 Report Posted October 12, 2007 On the official website they've confirmed Jessica and Kathy are both leaving, and Myra has a long lost son she had at 14! Never saw that coming. Can't say i'm particularly bothered about Jess and Kathy i don't really like either of them and i always thought Olivia had more potential than Jess.

Also loving Elliot/John Paul friendship, it's about time someone took Kris down a peg or two. And i've surprised myself by actually liking the whole Danny/Hannah relationship.
