With regard to the Late Night special:

I can't wait for Craig to return! By the sounds of it, we could have lots of Steph/Craig scenes, which will be great because I love their relationship. There have been no mention of JP though, so I'm not even beginning to get my hopes up of a reunion. Whilst I would be thrilled, I find it hard to believe that they'd finally reunite Craig & JP after over a year apart (By November, anyway) and there will have been no word of it. Whilst Craig may be returning there have been no mentions of a reunion.

Unless it's part of a surprise element. Given the large popularity of 'McDean' I think it would be amazing for them to reunite. More so as a complete surprise to the viewers. But if it did happen, would they really do it during a late night episode (OMG, the possibilities! ). Whilst Oaks audience may be growing, it still aims heavily at teenagers, a lot of whom probably don't watch Late Nighters because they are indeed.... late nighters. The viewing figures for the late nighters have always been lower than that of the actual show, something that has been said before. Can they really afford to reunite one of the most popular Oaks couples and do so where here is a possibility that not every McDean fan will be able to see it?

My mind's going into overdrive here. I can't help it. CRAIGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:wub::wub:

I'm not wanting to get you excited, but didn't James say his contract runs out towards the end of the year. And it does say something about various characters travel to Belfast, So i've got my fingers crossed that one of them could be JP. I think it depends on how late it's on. If it's about 9ish them I think it will be ok, but if I remember rightly the one that Lisa and Ben got together was aired at 11:05, that might be a problem with some veiwers. I guess we'll find out soon.

I can't wait! :D it's going to be great.

LOL Jenny! Why did you say 'I don't mean to get you excited or anything, when you know talk of a SE will?

:P James' contract runs out in September, I think, which - if he did leave - would mean his final scenes should air around November. OMG That totally fits!!!! It would be quite hilarious though. Just be totally selfish for a second (And a true McDean fan, I might add), all the trouble the Kieron fans have gone through to save him - presumably because they like him with JP, since he doesnt do much else :P - yet nobody even considered that JAMES might be the one that wanted to leave! lol!

TBH, I'd rather a SE and Kieron staying in the village. I like Kieron as an individual (I don't really care much for his relationship with JP.) and I'd love to see them work more with the character alone, rather than just his affair with JP. By writing Jp out of it (Craig or no Craig) then they can develop him.

And Craig returning totally fits in where the spoiler said that JP would be forced to choose between his past and his future.

I think we should get a repeat of last years exit at the airport, only with JP actually going with him this time :P. Or maybe they can just drive off into the sunset. Or sail off in a boat. N'awwww the posibilities! And we don't even know they're gonna reunite yet! They might not even see each other if James isn't involved in the late night! This is what I get for clinging to hope that they'll reunite.:rolleyes:

lol I don't know! I can totally feel your excitment reading that last post! lol It's great to have something to look forward too.

I forgot about that past/ present comment. OMG everything fits. James has said he doesn't planning on staying long, this COULD be the ending all us McDean fans wanted

:D :D.

I like the thought of Craig coming back to Chester to win JP back, he turns him down, so Craig returns to Dublin. Then JP regrets letting him leave and follows him. and they live happily ever after :P

I am a bit confused here. Is Ste Leah's dad? I'm asking this because I always thought he was but something he said to Amy not too long ago has got me thinking otherwise.

No Ste isn't. She had a one night stand with some random lad, but can't remember hhis name. When Ste first arrived back into Chester Amy and Ste became close and when everyone found out they were seeing each other, Ste said he was Leah dad so Mike would let him stay. Amy just went along with it.

:o Craig's coming back. I so didn't know about this (completely engrossed in revision atm) but I am so very, very happy. :D Please be back for John Paul. Ahh McDean. I miss them. :( It could be for the happy ending as well as steph stuff. *prays*

I'm not really liking JP&Father Kieron, I don't mind Kieron but it's just not the same. Much prefer McDean anyday.

Also I really want Rhys and Mercedes to get back together, they were so great together, if only Beth hadn't ruined it all.

EXCLUSIVE: Craig Dean returns to 'Hollyoaks'

Monday, June 9 2008, 11:40 BST

Source: Digital Spy

Hollyoaks actor Guy Burnet will make a dramatic return to the soap as Craig Dean later this year in the hope of a sunset ending with lover John Paul McQueen.

The 24-year-old, quit the show in August when his character left for Trinity College, Dublin, after his affair with John Paul was dramatically exposed at Craig and Sarah's (Loui Batley) engagement party.

With his heart set on rekindling his romance with John Paul (James Sutton), Craig makes a shocking return just as the dust settles in the wake of John Paul's relationship with Father Kieron Hobbs (Jake Hendriks) being exposed to the village.

Sarah's feelings for Craig are also pushed to the limit as she attempts to put the devastating revelation that her lover was involved in a gay love affair well and truly behind her.

Meanwhile, Craig's mother Frankie becomes so embroiled in her family deceit that it's not long before Craig uncovers some shocking skeletons hiding in the family closet.

Speaking of his decision to return, Guy said: "I've had so much support from the McDean fans since I left the show and so it’s great to have the opportunity to reprise the storyline and give viewers a resolution to the Craig and John Paul story."

Producer Bryan Kirkwood added: "The Craig and John Paul story is one of the biggest and most successful that Hollyoaks has told, winning many awards and legions of fans. I'm delighted that Guy has agreed to come back and excited to see how viewers will react to what we have in store."

Last week, it was announced that Guy would also be making an appearance in Hollyoaks' latest bank of late night spinoff episodes.

Guy returns to filming next month and will make his screen comeback in early September.

OMG! OMG! OMG Yay! Yay! Yay! Woo Hoo! :D:D:D
