So we don't really know for sure on the Eli thing, actually I like how it's been left open for us to draw our own conclusions. It sure does make it all the more interesting. It's also true that nobody has ever acknowledged Eli so far, like Steph in the dog that one time. Also once with Niall, when he walks past "them" by a wall, and he starts to talk to Newt, then Niall walks away and Eli shouts out Vile Niall. When Niall turns back he asks Newt if he said something, and Niall doesn't even notice Eli there. So obviously that implies he's not there and that Newt was the one who shouted it out.

It's all very, very fascinating.

Another decent relationship ruined by Mercedes. I wish someone would punch her in that sour face of hers (preferably Hannah or Tina when the whole Russ being the baby's father comes out, regular fans can probably already imagine the pity party she's going to have for herself). I've grown to love Danny/Hannah so i'm really annoyed another great Hollyoaks couple has been ruined by another scummy character with no redeeming features.

Speaking of Tina, i want her to keep the baby. Not only because i love Tina and hate Jacqui with a passion and i'm hoping it'll bring Russ and Tina together as happy little family, i'm just fed up with Jacqui (and Mercedes) getting everything they want, it's about that they realised they can't have everything just because they throw a strop every five minutes.

Ok I feel this post is long over due (warning it will contain HUGE spoilers, and they will be in spoiler tags but i know people get tempted...truly these are big-so don't kick yourself afterwards).

Firstly does nobody find that the quality of hollyoaks is so much higher than the quality of all other British soaps. Fair enough eastenders and coronation street get the ratings, but at the end of the day have they the bottle to pull off stories as sensationally and as well acted as hollyoaks.

Not only this but hollyoaks can be humorus, and also creatived with its plots. It uses music and comedy to hit the message across and more significantly it is the ONLY program that I ever actually feel emotional watching, ultimately because it is no longer a show about pretty faces but is now about acting, and more to the point- topical storylines that everyone can relate to. Lets look in depth:

Anorexia: An obvious one to kick off with but can anyone else really have imagine any other soap pulling this off in the way Emma Rigby did?

Sexuality: Craig and John Paul/ Kieron, so effective in the fact it combines everything.

(and is to be continued)

Mental Health: The gradual storyline where Newt has gone crazy, and the revolution that Eli is in his mind on friday's episode- plus we have no idea why...or where this is going...

Pregnancy/Cotdeath: The loss of Mandy and Tony's baby grace. The loss of Jacquis baby. All scenes which were literally horrific to watch yet so emotionally powerful.

Drugs: A very slow burning storyline- like reality, but not boring or tedious to the viewers...

Domestic Violence: Amy/Ste what more needs to be said- emmerdales own storyline is cringeworthy by comparison.

Also the little quirky openings speech bubbles, cartoons, and the outstanding young actors make the cinematogra[hy on this soap sensational...and now for the bits I can't wait for...

Tina/Dom/Russ/Tony/Jacqui- Ok a very tangled pentagon but next week Tina is about to tell Jacqui that she can't give her baby up when Niall pushes her down the stairs causing her to have the baby three months prematurely. Additionally the hospital have to perform an emergency hysterectomy meaning Tina can't have children. She tells Jacqui that she is keeping the baby- but Jacqui says if she does, she will Dom it is Russ's child- this is all after an emotional Dom begs tony to let Tina keep her son!

Carmel/Calvin/ALEK: Next week or so Carmel comes home and ALek is waiting for her. WHY? I'm so excited about this.

JP/Craig: Are rumoured to be getting married- I can't see this myself unless JP leaves as craig is not back permanently.

Max- Run over by Niall and dying in OB's arms minutes after marrying Steph...what's going to happen to Tom...and Mandy back too!

Amy actually being pregnant to Ste- what a messy messy situation, I really cannot wait to see where all of this is going...

If anyone wants to chat further about these- PM me, always have time for the oals- and there are so many secrets about to explode!

I wanted to know if Hollyoaks will be coming onto UKTV in Australia and this is the email I got back:

Dear Adam,

Thank you for your email.

Glad to hear you’ve been enjoying EastEnders! It has some great storylines at the moment.

Unfortunately at this stage there are no plans to show Hollyoaks on UKTV in the near future.

Thanks again for taking the time to write to us, we appreciate receiving feedback from our viewers.

Kind regards,

Amber

Anyone else cry their eyes out just now? I've cried on so many occasions watching Hollyoaks but I've gotta say that was the worst! The bit where Max said "tell Steph this was the best day of my life" and then went on to say to OB "I love you mate" actually had me howling!

I've been crying since I found out what was going to happen! But todays Channel 4 and E4 episode have been heartbreaking to watch! I really don't get why they wanted to kill Max off. He's been the the show for 11 years. If they wanted to kill someone off why not Jake.

^I agree. Max was a really great character!

But maybe the actor wanted to leave hollyoaks behind and start something new

But Max really will be missed.
