I do believe Warren was in love with Louise but not as deep as he claimed. TBH I dont think Louise deserved to go out the way she did but the scene was well executed and in an ironic way did her character justice, I was a bit suprised at Mandy's exit but then again how else was she supposed to go out? Jacqui has never been my favourite McQueen, Michaela is my favourite but I am suprised at how much she has grown since splitting with Tony, I hope they get back together maybe later on in 2009 despite all their problems I always loved Jacqui with Tony and with of course Baby Max :)

I am just getting back into Hollyoaks. I stopped watching for a bit as it got boring. The episode where Mike found out about Zoe and Sarah was good. And so was tonights with Kris and Nancy. That was funny.

I want to know what happened exactly with Louise and Warren now, haha!

I think at the moment the cast is far to big, and there are plenty I would certainly wouldn't mind seeing the back of.

Yes I really want to know exactly what happened like I would have liked to have seen the deed being done!! It was quite annoying showing her death in flashbacks but wiouldnt it have been good if Louise hadnt died at all!!

I liked how it was done in flashbacks by whatever Mandy and Louise's mum touched, but I so would of preferred if we stayed focused on everything that did happen between them, rather than have to revert to flashbacks. I just assume Warren suffocated her, as it wasn't made completely clear.

Yeah she was either suffoctaed with the pillow or strangled with the veil!!

I would have liked to see her actual death though.

I haven't watched Hollyoaks for about a month now and that's partly the reason why. Up until recently, the change of cast has been bearable because we've still seen focus on the ones that we were already adapted to. However, I find it hard to take the current cast as seriously as these producers seem to want us to.

The Roy family are quite possibly my least favourite additions to a soap ever! Leila and Ravi I can stomach. The Ravi/Kris/Nancy stuff has a lot of potential, hoping it's not just a repeat of Craig/Sarah/JP. Leila might be annoying at times, but I do find her likable and I think Lena Kaur, who plays her, is actually a rather decent actress. It just needs a decent, strong storyline thrown her way for her to really prove what she can do, because what they've given her so far has been naff! The Mum (Is her name Belle?) isn't too bad, but if we see too much of her, she most certainly seems a character I'd want to throw something at. But Guv and Anita I would gladly see the back of. (For a show that wants to be taken more seriously than it previously has and has made some decent decisions casting wise, what they were doing casting Saira Choudhry is beyond me. I'm sure she's a lovely girl off screen, but come on! She's impossible to take seriously.). Ash I'm not sure about. I think he's going to be very much like Darren - you can love him one minute and despise him the next.

Then we have Archie. Now, this guy I can stomach. Stephen Beard is a decent actor (More so in comparison to some mentioned above!). But there are a few flaws for my "What makes them a decent character" list. Firstly; The way he's been written. As soon as they brought him in and he practically pounced on Sarah (OK, she pounced on him and only to try and prove something, but he didn't exactly turn her away!) and he basically seemed like just another Hollyoaks bloke that does nothing but perve on the girls and try to bed them as just another notch counted. Completely unnecessary. Given that he wasn't mentioned before he arrived, they could delve further into the Carpenter family history with him and Zoe. But that seems unlikely, since I think she's pretty much going to be caught up in the Sarah stuff for a while yet. Of course, with strong acting oppurtunities from Zoe, Loui (Sarah), Tony (Mike) and Stephen (To some extent), we could be in for a treat.

We do, however, have some longer standing characters I wouldn't object to departing. The Valentine clan for starters. They've been one of the most contreversial families on Hollyoaks since they arrived. They were absolutely dreadful at first. Then things started getting interesting and now they're not really doing anything. This Calvin/Warren stuff is just boring. Lauren is nothing but a brat who has been completely spoiled by the writers making her yet another teenager that just wants to have sex. Sasha seems to have ran her course following the drug storyline and apparently is no longer needed (Much like the disappearing Fletch, who I am still peeved never returned!). And Leo is pointless if the writers only want him for the others storylines. I'd like to see Val return at some point, liven that family up. Otherwise they all can all pack up and leave for all I care.

Ste and Justin. Ste is vile. Absolutely awful. The producers should've got shot of him the moment the Leah/Amy abuse stuff ended. Kieron did some amazingly powerful acting during that and now he's so severly underused and wasted that that acting is being replaced my mediocre acting because of mediocre storylines. Justin stopped being a useful character ages ago. I love him, yes, but the writers seem to have ran out of places to take the character now. The pairing of Leila/Justin was appauling. What the writers were doing there, I've no clue. Terrible match with no potential. Justin could have a bit of time left on the show if this Hannah/Justin relationship goes anywhere and I am looking forward to seeing how that develops. But apart from that, both Ste and Justin are a waste of time. The downside there though is that, in comparison to some of the current cast, Kieron and Chris are 2 of the strongest. Losing them wouldn't do them many favours. It's just up to the wirters to pull the actors back up with some decent storylines!

All the Ahworths minus Rhys. Hannah was a great character, but has been destroyed lately. Poor Emma has been given some awful stuff to work with since the anorexia storyline.

In a way, I'm relieved she's leaving. She's gone right down in my estimations and I don't want to see her destroyed anymore. They need to give her an awesome exit storyline that does Emma justice, because she's an extremely talented girl.

. Josh is a good character, but again seriously underused. The only decent thing remaining there is his friendship with Michaela.

And the biggest "WTF is he still doing there?" of them all: Russ! I remember being really excited when he decided to stay in the village when the rest of his family left. He had a lot of potential to provide a breath of fresh air amidst some of the stuff happening back then, but the second he and Mercedes split up, he should've left the village. The most excitement that character has seen in those few years is sleeping with a married McQueen and impregnating her whilst still married (But seperated) from her sister. And that was nothing but a disaster that destroyed Tina as a likable character.

The most decent characters/actors we have left now are Darren (Who I do miss terribly!), Jack (Ditto!), Rhys, Mercedes, Kris, Malachy, Michaela, Tony, Mike, Steph and Tom (Again, considering he's the youngest, Ellis could outact most of the others hands down). For a cast of 47 (According to the official site), having only 11 of them really worth watching is quite bad. Of course, the numbers/choices will differ for viewers, but how many of you really say your current list of decent, worthy characters is longer than the one of those you would gladly see the back of? It's a real shame for the show as a whole, because it's been really strong over the last few years. I just hope it all picks up with this new producer because for me personally, she has quite some damage to undo. There have been a lot of really strong actors and well loved characters leave over the last 2/3 years and the new introductions should be strong enough to fill their void in their own ways. Apart from Malachy (Who I don't really see as a new introduction anymore), none of those brought in have been nearly good enough.

I am, however, extremely excited to watch some of the potential stuff they have coming up. Mercedes not being HIV positiv provides a really strong test for the storyline that sees a young woman dealing with her new husband's diagnosis. OK, So I'm doubting it's going to be a real main feature in every episode, but still, it could provide some strong material every so often. Glen and Jennifer are amazng actors and the partnership is great. On top of that, I'm rather excited at seeing where - if anywhere - they take Darren and Cindy's relationship when he's released from prison. Stephanie Waring's contract originally ended at the same time as Sarah Dunn's and since Sarah has left, I assume that means Stephanie was asked and decided to stay on, which can only mean they plan to do something with Cindy.

Regarding Steph, if I've got this right, I think Lucy (The new producer, although it may have been Bryan Kirkwood!) said something about

a new character being brought in for a new romance there. I'm actually intruiged. It could be a disaster (Come on, trying to replace Max is something of a daring move!), but I do believe they also said we'd seen a brighter side for Steph in the coming months, but it would get worse before it gets better, or something.

Either way, I'm intuiged by what they'll do there.

Apart from that, I find it hard to get excited over Hollyoaks right now. I haven't watched in a while, but kind of want to. For Darren when he returns if anything!

I have lost a substantial amount of interest in Hollyoaks lately. It hasnt been very good since around Tina's funeral I think.I only tuned into watch Louise's death episodes but otherwise I just cant be bothered. There has been way to many new characters introduced into the cast when there hasnt many left the show.

I am missing the Mcqueen's as well because they have been getting a very small amout of screentime I think.

I cant really take to the Roy's but I actually like Ravi and Anita.I cant stand Ash and Leila gets on my nerves as well.

I feel like most of the cast has disappeared.Hollyoaks is very bad at that , some characters go away for long periods of time but they actually havent gone anywhere there supposed to be still around but its so obvious when an actor has had some time off in Hollyoaks their character just dissappears for no reason.
