Chapter 11

8 am

Sally is in the kitchen making breakfast when Peter walks in.

‘Hey Sal’ said Peter.

‘Breakfast is nearly ready’ replied Sally.

‘Sally can I have a word’ asked Peter.

Sally walked out side followed by Peter.

‘After our kiss I could’nt stop thinking about you, I do have feeling for you but at the minute the thing I have to focus on is catching Zoe’ said Peter.

‘Are you sure about this though sally’

‘after I lost Flynn I knew one day I would move on but when you was at the engagement party all I could think about was you’ replied sally.

‘Do you think their could be a chance for us?’ asked Peter.

‘I really want to start something if you do and Pete I am willing to wait and take it step by step’ said sally.

‘That sounds ok’ replied Peter leaning in for a kiss.

‘Knock knock’ said Jack walking in to Sally’s kitchen.

Sally walked in to speak to Jack.

‘Hey I hear Pete is here’ asked Jack

‘Yeah he’s outside’ said Sally.

‘Hey what do you want me to do’ asked Jack.

‘You sure you are ready’ asked Peter.

‘Im fine’ replied Jack

‘Ok right I’m going to have breakfast then I am heading down to the station’ commented Peter.

‘Jack would you like breakfast’ shouted sally from in the kitchen.

‘That would be great’ said Jack.

Martha walks in the house.

‘Hey sally’ said Martha.

‘You have a good night sleep’ asked Sally.

‘Yeah I stayed over at grandads’ replied Martha.

‘Jack is outside with Peter by the way’ said Sally.

‘I will bring you some breakfast if you want to go and wait outside’ asked Sally.

Martha, Jack and Peter were sitting around the table when Sally brings Martha’s breakfast out.

‘I will help you Sally’ said Peter going in the kitchen to help her.

Sally is doing the washing up when Peter gets some bubbles and flicks them at Sally.

Peter and Sally start to play fight and cuddle but are just about to kiss when Ric catches them.

‘Excuse me’ Ric said laughing at Peter and Sally.

Sally and Peter start to go red and walks over to Ric.

‘well you should’nt of really seen that we was going to tell you’ said Peter

‘No its ok I’m happy for you both’ replied Ric.

‘Can we keep this between us’ asked Sally.

‘Sure’ replied Ric.

Ric walked over and pinched Peter’s break fast.

‘Thanks mate’ said Ric walking outside to Martha and Jack.

Jack walks in and thanks Sally for the breakfast.

‘Right I think we better go’ Jack reminded Peter.

‘What about your breakfast Peter’ asked Sally.

‘I am sure I will live’ laughed Peter.

‘I will bring you over some lunch’ said sally.

‘Thanks gosh its 9:45 allready’ said Peter.

15 hours 15 minutes keeps going threw Peters mind.

Jack walks out first and Peter blows Sally a kiss which she catches in the parm of her hand.

Police station

Tracey arrives to find Peter sitting in his office looking threw files and trying to work out what will happen at midnight.

All day Peter and Tracey are working out how Zoe will make her next move but it Is a dead end every time.

9 pm.

Peter decides to go back to Sally’s because he has had no calling cards from Zoe and he thinks the ‘midnight’ was just a joke.

No one is home at Sally’s so Peter and Sally just think about the future and cuddle on the sofa watching TV.

10 :13 Peters mobile starts to ring.

‘Peter its Morag I need your help its Zoe QUICK!!!!’

Sally just looks at Peter and say’s ‘Pete be careful I will ring Tracey.

Peter jumps up and races out the door.

Peter arrives at Morag’s flat with his gun in his hand pointing ahead of him.

Tracey is driving down towards Morag’s flat when she see’s Morag walking towards her car. Tracey relises that Zoe has set Pete up.

Tracey frantically tries to ring Peter but Peter keeps cancelling Tracey’s call.

As Tracey puts her foot down on the accelerator she can see Peter kicking down Morag’s flat door and Peter walks but all of a sudden Tracey hears a massive explosion.

Morag’s flat has gone up in flames with Peter inside.

Chapter 12

Tracey was just staring in to the flames and she suddenly stopped her car and raced for the flat.

Jack arrives to find the house in flames and Tracey just standing still watching the house burn to the ground.

‘Its.. Its Pete….’ Cried Tracey.

Jack turned around to see Peter’s car and holds Tracey in his arms.

‘Jack he’s dead’ said Tracey.

‘All because of that Bitch, I promised him he would see the case through till the end, It’s not even midnight so why now’ shouted Tracey.

Ric and Belle run up to Jack and Tracey.

‘Jack what’s gone on where’s Morag?’ asked Ric.

‘Morag is fine I seen her going in to Noah’s’ said Jack.

‘It’s Peter Baker who was inside when the explosion happened’ said Jack.

‘Pete Baker…. No way can this happen’ said Ric whilst thinking about Sal and Peter cuddling this morning.

‘I’m sorry mate’ said Jack trying to keep the tears back.

‘I have got to go and tell Sally’ said Ric running back to his house.

Police station

Lara, Jack and Tracey are sitting in Pete’s office when they are packing his things away.

Lara finds Peter’s wallet.

Tracey looks inside to find.

A picture of Dan and him when they were children.

Ryan and Dan at Pete’s last birthday.

Hidden away there is a picture of Pete and Claire Brody.

‘Trust Pete to have no money, that was one thing with him he never brought his own coffee’ Jack said.

‘Yeah that’s true’ Laughed Lara.

Peter’s funeral

Everyone is gathered to say goodbye to their local detective.

Dan is first up to say a few words.

Well what can I say, at least one good thing came out of this he died trying to protect the bay. No matter what happens he will be remember as a hero, their were no one special in his life well you never no with Peter maybe he did have his eye on someone’. Ric looks at Sally who is crying while looking at the picture of Pete on his coffin. ‘But what I’m trying to say is I love you bro…..’

Dan bursts in to tears and walks back to his seat.

Jack is next up and say’s

‘Well Well I never thought I would be here to see this day.

Detective Baker always had power over me and too be honest he was a very bossy person but that is how we get our job done because he has such a great detective saving the town over and over again. Their will never be another detective like Peter Baker. Just that day he agreed to be best man at my wedding but because he will not make it I will just have his memories to get me through the day with no best man.

Peter’s coffin is carried out to the car and everyone makes there way to sally’s house for the wake.

Everyone is so quiet just thinking about the good times they had with Peter.

Dan walks over to Tracey, Lara and Jack.

‘Tracey thank you for coming but whats going on with the case now who will take over’ asked Dan.

‘Well I am not going any where if Pete can’t see it till the end I will be’ replied Tracey.

‘I don’t know what will happen but I assume HQ will send another detective to help me and constable Holden on the case’ said Tracey.

Beth walks in to the room and hands Jack a letter.

‘I found this outside’ said Beth.

‘It has Peters name on it so..’ said Beth.

‘Thanks’ said Tracey.

Dan looked at Tracey because you could tell this would be from Zoe.

Jack opened the letter and it say’s

Why did he think midnight, it took me 1 n half hours to get the letter to him, now I didn’t think the detective would be that stupid.

Tracey, Jack and Dan just look at one another.

Sally is in the kitchen really quiet when Ric walks over.

‘Mum are you ok’ asked Ric.

‘I thought we was going to start something special’ replied Sally.

‘I know im sorry mum’ said Ric.

Ric held Sally in his arms trying to comfort her.

There is a knock on the caravan house door.

Cassie goes over and opens the door to be greeted by………

Chapter 13

‘What are you doing here’ Dan asked walking over to the door.

‘I have come her to say goodbye to him’ said Claire.

‘You cheated on him and you’re here to say sorry it’s a bit late’ shouted Dan.

Leah remembered the real reason Peter came back and no body told Dan.

Leah, Claire, Dan, and Tracey went outside.

Everyone inside has no idea what’s going on.

‘Dan carm down’ said Leah.

‘Dan I didn’t cheat on Peter’ said Clare.

‘you would say that now’ said Dan.

‘Dan its true’ said Leah looking guilty.

‘It is’ said Tracey.

‘What’s going on here’ asked Dan looking really confused.

‘Well when Pete came back this year before we kissed he told me he came back because he never stopped loving me and he could’nt bare being away from me’ replied Leah.

‘So he came back to get with you?’ asked Dan.

‘No he came back to get over me like last time, He said the only way he could get over me was to be near me’ said Leah.

Tracey walked over to Claire’s car and opened the door.

‘What’s in there’ asked Dan.

‘That was why I was coming back to the Bay, to show Pete his little baby boy’ said Claire.

Leah and Dan go over to Claire’s car to see a little baby asleep.

‘What’s his name’ asked Leah

‘Joey Pete Baker’

‘Why didn’t you tell us’ asked Dan?

‘I tried contacting Pete but he was listening to me, Tracey tried to mention my name but he just changed the subject. I thought it was better for me to come down and see him face to face but now I realise it’s too late’ said Claire.

‘Are you going to be sticking around I really would like to spend time with my nephew’ asked Dan.

‘Well that’s the thing HQ have called me in on the Zoe case because I worked with it last year, so if you want you can look after him’ asked Claire.

‘Yeah that would be great and you can stop at our house’ said Dan.

Claire, Joey, Dan, Leah and Tracey went inside to the rest of the people.

Later that Night

Caravan Park

‘Hey Sal Me and Leah are going home you going to be ok?’ asked Dan.

Sally looked at Dan and just started to cry.

‘Hey everything’s going to be ok’ said Dan.

‘How is it?’ replied Sally.

‘What do you mean?’ Dan asked curiously.

‘I was falling in love with Pete now he’s gone’ said sally.

Dan moved back and looked shocked at what Sally had just told him.

‘You mean you and Pete was….’ Asked Dan

‘The night before he….. Well we kind of kissed and the next day we decided to take things slow’ replied Sally.

‘Well I must admit Pete always spoke about you and said how much he loved spending time with you but I didn’t expect this’ Dan explained.

‘Neither did I but when we talked I knew he was special’ said sally.

‘Well if Pete said he liked you, he must of else he wouldn’t of said it’ explained Dan.

‘Thank you’ said Sally.

‘What you saying thank for if Pete was here he would be standing next to telling you how much he cares for you, I think you made a perfect couple’ said Dan

‘Hey Dan you ready Joey’s getting tired’ said Leah waiting for him by the door.

Chapter 14

Next day

Tracey and Claire were sitting in Peter’s office waiting for Jack Holden to arrive.

‘I can’t believe that he has gone’ said Tracey while looking around the office.

‘I know I walked in this morning and I could smell him, that smell you just know its him when he walked by’ laughed Claire.

Jack walked in the office to Tracey and Claire.

‘Thanks for coming in on your day off’ said Tracey.

‘If I have to work all hours I will, she has already took Pete’s life she isn’t taking anybody else’s’ Jack said angrily looking at pictures of Maxine/Zoe/Eve.

‘I can’t believe that she planted the bomb before midnight, I just did’nt think the time would be from when she wrote on it’ said Tracey.

‘Pete was just doing the thing he loved….. His job’ said Jack.

Hunters + Holden’s house.

Mattie, Lucas, Tony, Beth, Ric, Belle are sitting at the table playing cards.

Robbie and Tasha enter.

‘Hey mum, hey everyone’ said Robbie.

‘So what’s this all about’ asked Robbie’

‘Martha and Jack’s wedding’ replied Tony.

‘We just wanted to know if you knew what was going to be happening’ said Beth.

‘Yeah everything is going to go fine. Tomorrow will go perfectly’ said Tasha.

Next day Jack and Martha’s wedding day.

‘I’m so excited’ Martha shouted while running around Beth’s house.

‘We have got ages you know Martha’ Tasha said.

‘Yeah I know but I want to look my best for my husband to be’ Martha said.

Jack’s house

Dan is eating his breakfast when Jack walks out his room in his boxers

‘Hey mate good night sleep’ asked Dan.

‘Yeah well all I could think about was Kim and Pete not being their on my big day but….. I love Martha and were getting married today no matter what’ said Jack.

Tony and Lucas entered the house.

‘Hey boys’ Lucas and Tony said.

‘Hey’ replied Dan.

We have been told to come round and stay here’ laughed Tony.

‘Why what’s wrong’ Jack asked.

‘Nothing mate but trust us you wouldn’t want to be there now it’s a mad house’ said Lucas.

‘Hey I was meant to say I’m sorry I didn’t have a stag night just with Pete, Kim and everything I didn’t feel in the mood’ Jack said

‘We understand’ said Dan.

‘Hold on one minute, Dan you don’t live here any more so why are you eating my food’ Jack laughed.

‘Well with Claire at home and everything and she just remind me of Pete so I thought I would stay here until tonight, Is that ok?’ asked Dan.

‘Sure mate aslong as your not here after the wedding’ Jack giggled.

‘Yeah mate you will be alone tonight’ Dan said

Jack started to get ready.

Beth and Martha are getting ready when Tasha and mattie decide to go and take some food to the surf club for the after reception.

Mattie takes Beth’s Keys.

Mattie and Tasha arrive at the surf club to find the doors already open.

‘That’s weird’ said Tasha

‘Yeah it is someone must have brought some food in earlier’ said Mattie.

As Tasha and Mattie walked in they noticed lots of food and presents already set out.

‘Wow that looks amazing’ said Tasha.

‘I think we can head back up home now’ said Mattie.

Tuners lane.

A pink truck is heading towards summer bay when all of a sudden it explodes!

Who was in the truck??

Will the wedding end in tragedy??????

Chapter 15

’45 minutes left’ Martha screamed as she was looking around the room for Jack’s ring.

‘Thank god its here’ Martha said with joy in her voice.

‘Martha today is going to be fine’ said Beth as she gave Martha some flowers.

Country house

Everyone was gathered waiting for Jack to arrive.

Jack’s house

‘Do I look ok?’ asked Jack as he was getting really nervous.

‘Yes fine’

‘The limo is here, Time to go mate’ said Lucas waiting by Jack’s front door.

Jack is walking to the car trying not to turn his head around for a sneak peak of Martha before he arrives at the country house.

Tony made sure that Jack got in the car before Martha could look out the window.

Country Park

Jack arrives with a massive grin on his face with all his work mates, Family and friends surrounding him. The only thing he needed now was his bride who was in a limo on her way.

Jack stood at the front on his own when he decided that to respect Pete and Kim he would ask Lucas to be his best Man.

Lucas gladly accepted standing next to Jack waiting for Martha.

Martha arrived with Mattie and Tasha who were bridesmaids.

Martha stood out of her car with a long silk white dress which was being carried by Mattie and Tasha who were wearing a lime coloured dress.

Alf got out the car next and stood next to Martha waiting to walk her down the Isle.

Jack turned around and looked at a stunning Martha and knew she was the best thing in his life.

Martha and Jack was smiling at each other through out the service.

They were announced man and wife.

Jack passionately kissed Martha being the happiest man alive.

Martha whispered in Jack’s ear ‘I love you’.

Everyone headed back to the surf club when Martha walked over to Tasha and said ‘ I have left Jack’s present at home, what shall I do’ asked Martha.

‘You stay here and I will go back and fetch it’ replied Tasha as she headed over to the house.

Surf Club.

Everyone was getting really drunk and Jack was hugging everyone and kept saying ‘I love Martha I’m the luckiest man alive’

Martha was getting worried because Tasha was still not back.

Tasha arrived with Jack’s present.

Martha was just about to give Jack his present when Alf said ‘time for the bridal waltz’.

Martha and Jack began to slow dance.

Everyone else joined in.

Everything was going so good until the music was cut off and constable Harper and Constable Fitzgerald entered the dance floor.

‘Im so sorry Jack but we have to tell Martha something’ said Ken Harper.

Everybody was quiet.

‘Im so sorry but we found your brothers truck off the road in flames’ said Lara.

Martha turned round and hugged Jack.

All of a sudden everyone could smell fire.

One of Martha’s presents set a light.

Alf ran over to put the fire out also the water sprinklers came on.

Everyone was panicking but Tony shouted out ‘This isn’t water it’s more like petrol’.

‘Well you’re very clever’ said a voice coming from the store room.

‘Owe no not you’ Colleen shouted in horror.

‘Yes it’s me you old bag Eve well Zoe well actually its Maxine.

Claire broody passed Joey to Leah and walked over to Zoe to distract her but it wasn’t working, Zoe was too clever.

Lara and ken pulled their guns out.

Chapter 16

‘No point using them there blanks’ laughed Zoe.

‘I changed the guns this morning’ she said

All the residents tried to head over to the exit but Zoe shouted ‘If any body moves I will drop this lighter and we will all blow up.

‘Please Zoe surely you don’t want this, If you want money I will give you it’ said Amanda who was very scared at the back of the room.

Everyone desperately wanted to exit the room but knew she would drop the lighter.

All of a sudden the only door that was open slams shut.

The whole room of people turn round to see Tracey Thompson putting a lock on the door.

‘Did I forget to tell you that’s my step sister Lucy Trood’ said Eve.

‘Hiya’ said Tracey with a low voice.

‘You how, why….’ Asked Claire.

‘I had to be here for my sister you lot put my eve and Sarah through hell’ she said in a deep voice.

No body moved they were too shocked.

‘We are back for revenge and that is what were going to get’ said Tracey.

For 45 minutes Zoe made everyone scared and told them how much she loved Sarah.

‘Well Summer bay towns people, Its time I explained why I am back’ she shouted.

The whole town was frightened but did not dare move else they would die.

Zoe gets the lighter and shouts ‘I have won’ she goes to light the lighter when there is a gun shot.

Everyone ducks thinking that it’s the end for them.

Zoe drops to the ground and Lara and ken jump on Tracey who then falls to the ground.

Everyone on the room looks around in the shock that Zoe has been shot.

‘Who shot Zoe’ asked Colleen.

‘Me’ some one said walking out of the door behind Zoe.

The whole room looks shocked to see a ‘dead’ man standing in the room.

‘Peter’ Dan shouts running over and hugging him.

‘Right everybody out’ Said Peter leading them outside.

Everyone leaves the room except Sally who can’t believe her eyes.

Pete runs over to Sally and holds her really tight in his arms.

‘I’m sorry’ Pete said whispering in to her ear.

‘I love you so much’ said Sally.

Caravan Park

Everyone is gathered in Sally’s house waiting for the hero to arrive.

Pete and Sally walk in.

Dan looks over at his brother and smiles.

‘Pete I think everyone wants to know how and what happened’ said Tony.

‘Ok well when I was walking in to Morag’s flat I realised that Sally had told me that Morag was going to see Alf in the surf club. So then I ran straight for the back door then of course the explosion. Everyone had thought I was dead but I went in to witness protection for a couple of days.

After a couple of days I thought well if everyone thinks I’m dead I can come back and stop her once and for all.

I was watching Martha and Jack get married when I seen Zoe in a wig walking near the exit of the park so I followed her, she did not even realise. I had no idea that Tracey was involved until she locked the surf club doors but by that time I was allread hiding in the men’s toilets. Once a bit of time went by I realised that Zoe would set the place alight so I shot her’ Peter explained.

Pete could her a baby crying and say’s ‘Who’s crying, Ric you big baby’.

‘Actually mate it is a baby and it’s your son’ said Dan.

Peter looked amazed and walked over to the baby.

‘how’ asked Pete.

‘Its your’s’ said Claire who walked towards him.

Pete leaned down and picked his baby up.

‘Daddy’ Joey said quietly.

Everyone was smiling and really happy to be alive.

The whole town is alive but Martha is really upset about Macca.

Jack walks over to Martha and says ‘Babe I love you I’m here for you’.

Everyone leaves Sally’s house amazed that their still alive.

Peter and Sally are left in the house.

‘Does this mean you and Claire will be trying again?’ asked Sally.

‘No way you’re the only one for me… If you still want me’ asked Peter.

‘Of course I do’ Sally said grinning.

‘Well I have had enough of all this dangerousness business first thing in the morning I am going to resign’ said Peter.

‘You can’t you love that job’ replied Sally.

‘I did love it yes but know the most important things to me is my little baby boy. My family and most important you’ said Peter.

Peter and Sally lied next to each other on the sofa thinking about how much the future holds for them and the rest of the town!
