Here's one more:

1 Open image, crop and resize:b10353838.jpg

2 Curves: RGB I:106 O:160

Levels: something. I always start writing after I've done this. Sorry!

3. Add textures: lonelyblue-1.png353.jpgmotjicons135.jpg

4. add brushes: brush.png in pale yellow : gabriel.png

Rotate horisontally. -->add brush brush2.png in pale yellow/white:gabrielv2.png Rotate back.

5. Add more brushes if you like.

Crop the image.tut1.png

Use the brush tool to go over the little picture.tut2.jpg

Filter >> Sharpen >> Sharpen tut3spar.png

Use the Blur tool at 50% strength to smooth out her skin, pick a small soft brush. ONLY the skin, not the eyes or lips. tut4blu.png

To add contrast I use curves.

Nim, I tried your tutorial and found it really easy to follow, I have one problem. How do you duplicate the base? At the minute I'm stuck with a rather-too-pink picture, I presume because I haven't duplicated the base. I'm just a bit of a PhotoShop newbie. :P

The base the image of the bottom of all the layers, so what you have to do is right-click the layer then select "Duplicate layer". Then you drag the layer to the top of all the layers and set it to "Soft Light".

OK. I followed your tutorial Nim, and I went from this

Is this how it's meant to turn out? I'm not entirely sure, something doesn't look 'right'
