Another tutorial (I'm bored, as you can tell). Only colouring, though.

1. Sharpen (Filter> Sharpen> Sharpen). Depending on the quality of your image, you may need to do this twice, or need to fade it by going Edit> Fade Sharpen, and entering in an opacity.

2. Duplicate the base twice. Set the first to Screen, 20. Second to softlight, 100. You might need to change these later on.

3. Layer> New Fill Layer> Solid Colour. Enter BEEDFF. Click ok, and set this layer to Colour burn. You might need to play with the opacity.

4. Layer> New Fill Layer> Solid Colour. Enter F2E980. Click ok, and set the layer to Multiply, at 40%.

5. Duplicate base, and drag it to the top. Set to Softlight, and Desaturate. You might need to play with the opacity.

6. Layer> New Adjustment Layer> Hue/Saturation. Up the Saturation to 29. Click ok. Set the Layer to Softlight, 60%. Duplicate this layer, but change the opacity to 100, and set to Normal.

Made using the same technique:

1. Open image, and sharpen.

2. Duplicate base 3 times.

First: Softlight, 100

Second: Softlight, 30

Third: Screen, 10

3. Layer> New Fill Layer> Solid color.

5C6AF4, set to Color Burn, 40.

Another New Fill Layer.

FFC5FA, set to Softlight, 30.

4. Layer> New Adjustment Layer> Selective coloring.

My settings:

Red:

Cyan: -23

Magneta: 2

Yellow: 23

Black: 3

Set this layer to Softlight, 40.

5. Layer> New Adjustment Layer> Hue/Saturation.

Saturation: 30.

6. Now get your text tool, and write whatever you want (it works better in White). Right click the text layer, and go down to Blending options. Select "Drop Shadow", and "Outer Glow" Click ok.

TUTORIAL #1:

Someone requested a tutorial for this sort of colouring. I couldn't exactly remember the exact steps but, so I made a new “immitation” of the colouring. This tutorial, might not work with every pic, but play around with the settings or opacity and it will. Also, caps, and stills may not work out to be the best, but other pics would most likely work.

Okay...so we will be going from this to this.

1.Grab your base, crop/resize.

2.Sharpen the picture once (more if needed). Only smoothen out parts if you really need to. I didn't.

3.Duplicate your base. Set to screen. Depending on your base, reduce the opacity, or add another screen layer. I reduced my opacity to 70%. You will most likely need to edit this layer at the end anyway.

4.Add a new layer. Fill with #0072BC, set to soft light, 80%.

5.Add another new layer. Fill with #2E3192, set to soft light, 50%.

6.Add a new Selective Colour adjustment layer. Put in the following settings:

Reds

Cyan: -100

Yellow: +100

Black: +30

Yellows

Cyan: -100

Magenta: -100

Yellow: +100

Black: +100

Cyans

Cyan: +100

Magenta: +100

Yellow: -100

Blues

Cyan: +20

Magenta: +20

Yellow: -20

Black: +100

Magentas

Cyan: -100

Yellow: +100

Black: +100

Neutrals

Cyan: +12

Magenta: -10

Yellow: -20

Black: +11

7.Add a new Hue/Saturation adjustment layer. Put in the following settings and play around with them:

Hue: +5

Saturation: +40

Lightness: +5

Set its Opacity to 80%.

8.Select >All, then go to Edit >Copy Merged. Then go Edit >Paste. Set that layer to Soft Light. Reduce the opacity, or leave it as it is.

And you're done! Now you can add any finishing touches as you wish! Please don't be shy, I can help with anything! I don't bite.

TUTORIAL #2

Here's another tutorial, and we will be going from this to this. Play around with the settings and opacities, if you really need to. And remember the effect will work differently on every pic. And the pic may need to be a little bit desaturated if its not, coz then the effect wont work well. Now lets get to it.

1.Grab your base. Crop/Resize anyway you like.

2.Duplicate your base and set to screen, 30%.

3.Add a new layer. Fill with #77A0CF. Set it to Soft Light.

4.Add a new Hue/Saturation adjustment layer. Up the saturation to somewhere between 25-50.

5.Duplicate the Hue/Saturation layer and set to soft light.

6.Now go back to the starting base and sharpen it.

And you're done! Really simple, and gives you a really nice effect!

I've seen a few people ask how to get a border like this:

userbanner6.png

1. Select all, and make a new layer. Pick a color, and go to Edit>Stroke. If you want a thick border, like the one I put in the about header, enter 17px, and make sure 'Center' is ticked. Click ok.

2. With your image still selected, make another new layer. Pick another color, and go to Edit>Stroke. Enter in 15 px, and click ok.

3. Your image should still be selected, if not, select it, and make another new layer. Using the same color you used for the 17px one, go to Edit>Stroke, and enter in 1px.
