Another tutorial

Firstly crop the base till you are happy with it, preferably not a bright base.

Secondly add a curves layer with output and input both at 41. And set that to luminosity 100%.

Thirdly selective colouring

olouring again

Reds set this to relative

Fifth Step: Add a fill layer with #efceec at darker light with 58%

Then you can add whatever else you like.

My result was this leathfintut.jpg

Zetti wanted to have a tutorial for this effect:

cassie-1.png

It's pretty easy I promise!

Step 1.

First we are going to make the coloring of the picture of Cassie. This is my base:

base_step1.png

Duplicate it and set it to soft light.

Step 2.

Now we are going to make it a bit more colorful. Go to layer>new adjustment layer>Hue/Saturation and then set the saturation of RGB to +25.

Step 3.

Now it's a bit dark but we will fix that later. Go to layer>new adjustment layer>Color Balance and set these settings:

Midtones: -53, +18, +28

Highlights: +16, +15, -14

This is what mine looks like now:

step3.png

Still a bit dark though.

Step 4.

Now we are going to add more color. Go to layer>new adjustment layer>Selective Color and set these settings:

Reds: -100, 0, 0 ,0

Neutrals: +33, +41, +70, -53

Step 5.

Still too strong and dark. Go to layer>new adjustment layer>Selective Color and set these settings:

Reds: +100, +35, +63, +49

Cyans: +100, 0, 0, 0

Neutrals: +41, -25, -32, -23

This is how mine looks like now:

step5.png

Step 6.

Now we are going to add a fill layer. Go to layer>new fill layer>Solid Color. Click ok and then when you are going to choose color. Set #c683bc

Set this layer to soft light.

Step 7.

One more fill layer. Go to layer>new fill layer>Solid Color. Click ok and then when you are going to choose color. Set #b6d9e0

Set this layer to color burn.

This is how mine looks like now:

step7.png

Step 8.

Flattern your image. Go to layer>flattern image. Hit ctrl+a and then ctrl+c. Make a new image ctrl-n and then hit ok. Paste your image on a new layer (ctrl+v). Now you should have a new image with a white background and then a layer on top of that with you image.

Step 9.

Take this texture by Velvet factory:

VF_polaroid01a.jpg

Paste it on top of your image layer and create a vector mask by going to layer>layer mask>reveal all. On the new layer mask beside your texture paint with black color over the area that's black on the texture.

It's going to look like THIS.

Step 10.

Now you're going to add some light textures and some text. This is what I came up with:

nosharp.png

Step 11.

This is the last step, I promise. So now we are going to make the icon a bit sharper. Select the highest layer and then hit ctrl+shift+alt+e this makes all the layers come into one and then it places on top of everything else.

Now sharpen the top layer that was created by going to filter>sharpen>sharpen.

Now you can erase those ares that you don't want to have that sharp etc.

And you are done!!

I wanted to make a tutorial too so this is what we're going to make it's very easy! :D

396wg4.png

That's what we're going to make. {I've made this avatar in PSP9}

this is what you need. (I've put them in the right order to use them)

1. 02be4.png 2. marthaada1.png 3. trashpink13ho5.png

---

And you need this brush and mask

Mask: sanami276masks0201ch1.png

Brush: 81wo5.png

first of all I hope you all know where to put your brush and mask ^^'

Brush : Open the brush

Go to file -> export -> costum brush -> give it a name.

go check it by your paint brush.

Mask: Go to your paint shop file normally it's named My PSP files.. -> go to the map masks and put your mask in that map.

than open some random picture -> layers -> Load/save mask -> Load mask from disk and click on the picture left above and

search your mask.

Now we're going to start.

Take this picture.

02be4.png

than open this one.

marthaada1.png

go to Layers -> load/save mask -> load mask from disk -> click left above in the picture and search your mask.

If you found the mask, look at the preview and make sure you don't have the black preview if you have,

change it on the button under the picture in the preview if you have the white background you can click load

than Layers -> merge -> merge invisible and copy and paste the mask in the picture.

Than duplicate your background put it above raster 1 and set it on soft light

your picture may not be clear, so use your eraser tool to make your picture clear again.

than use this texture: trashpink13ho5.png

and set it to saturation (Legacy)

use again the eraser tool to make your picture clear again.

It should be looking like this: prevex7.png

go to Layers -> Merge -> Merge all (Flatten)

Now go to the paint brush, use that tape brush and click twice somewhere on the avatar, where you wanna have your tape brush add some text and your done :)

result:

396wg4.png

I hope you all understand it? :D

Someone requested this on another forum so I thought I might as well post it here.

This is the effect:

yadayada1.png

1- Pick your image- preferably one that's not too light or dark, works better that way.

I chose this;

12032302xm2.jpg

2- (optional) if you're making a banner with more than one picture then blend/cut and merge together.

3- colour it. I can't be bothered to go through the steps for my colouring because I'm lazy. :P So here's the psd.

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=TMGM8OSY

Just download it and drag the layers of coluring from that onto your image. Resize it to whatever size you want.

It should look similar to this when it's done.

sallyalfcolouringer0.png

4- Add this texture on colour burn or multiply.

rtrtjqs9.png

5- and then this one on lighten.

crazykira2702ij7.jpg

6- Then add a white border 12px thick and text in the font 'printed dash' and your done.

Hope that was easy enough to understand. :)
