Program: Photoshop CS3 but will probably work with older and PSP:

Today we are going to do this blend. It's not that hard, I promise. Most of you should be able to do it.

th_hugh_laurie.jpg

1. First of all create a new image that's 800x600 px. Fill it with the color black #000000.

2. Now it's time to find your pics. Paste them into you canvas and then cut them out the best you can. Remember that this art will look best with pics of persons with black clothes. It should look similar to this now CLICK.

3. To make it look better. Duplicate the both layers with the person on. Desaturate the duplicated layers and put them on the blending mode Soft light with an opacity of 100%. Sharpen both of them once or twice. You can do this as much as you want. Now mine looks like this CLICK.

4. Add a new layer with some splatter brushes on in the color #959191. Like this CLICK.

5. Add a new layer and fill it with the color black #000000. Add a layer mask to this layer and then brush so the person is visible. We are doing this to make the edges of the pictures a lot nicer. Brush with whatever brush you want, be creative. This is how mine looks like now CLICK and my layers look like this CLICK.

6. Take THIS texture by http://tokyo.disparue.org/

Put it on lighten.

7. Now we are going to do the brushes in the background. Make a new layer under the layers of the persons. Also between the background and the layers of the persons. Yeah you understand lol. Add a new layer per brush, otherwise, if you make any mistake, you can't change it.

Take some vector brushes and then brush in the colors #9a9696 and #f16e80

8. Now you just have to add some text and you are done. Peace of cake, right?!

Program: Photoshop CS3 but will work with older. It will work with PSP too, I think.

Now I'm going to teach you how to do THIS Ashley Tisdale blend so I decided to write one. Better late than never, right?

Step 1

Create a new image in the size 800x600 and paste THIS texture on it.

Step 2

Take your picture and cut it out. Then paste the cut out image above the texture. It should now look something like THIS. Not that hard, huh?

Step 3

Duplicate your cut out (ctrl+j) and set the duplicated layer on the blending mode Soft light. To make it look better sharpen it (filter>sharpen>sharpen). I also added a smart blur filter (filter>blur>smart blur).

Step 4

Repeat step 2-3 and add two more pics. Place them so they look a bit interesting on the canvas. Mine now looks LIKE THIS.

Step 5

Now it's time for some brushwork. I created a new layer for each brush and I created them under the layers of the images. Be creative and brush ahead. I brushed with gray and black brushes to create a grungy style.

THIS IS how mine looks like now.

Step 6

You can also add some brushes above the layers of the images to make them blend in more. I added a tape brush over one of the images bottoms (the one where she helds the rockstar signs).

Step 7.

Add some text and some more brushes and you are done. Piece of cake, right?

I hope you understood my explaination, otherwise, just ask :D

Thanks Zetti!

Guess what guys!? I just did a tutorial on my Mattie sig!!! Here it is!

I made it in Photoshop by the way.

matildahunter.png

Step 1

Make a new canvas that's 400x150 px then paste your black and white image. Your image can be in color too but then you won't get this effect. So do as you want.

step1-4.png

Step 2

Okay now I made some clipping masks on mine but you don't have to do that if you feel that it's complicated. I think that I even won't explain it. On this sig, you don't even see it on the finished product. So forget it.

Make a new layer and brush with various flower brushes on it white light gray color. Like this:

step2-3.png

Step 3

Now take a lot of icon sized light textures and paste them on new layers all the time. Put all the layers on linear dodge. I moved them around and erased them until I thought it looked good. You can also change the opacity on some of them.

step3-3.png

Step 4

Stamp your image (ctrl+shift+alt+e). Blur the skin of your person on this stamped layer with the blur tool set on Strenght: 100%.

I may have made it a bit lighter too. Do that by going to layer>new adjustment layer>curves

Like this:

step4-4.png

Step 5

Stamp your image again (ctrl+shift+alt+e). On this stamped layer use the burn tool to darken some areas just to give it some depth. I darkened some areas around the flowers.

step5-5.png

Step 6

Stamp your image again (ctrl+shift+alt+e). this time you are going to draw with a soft brush. Draw a line in neon color around the persons head. I drew with a blue color around the top of Matilda's head.

step6-2.png

Step 7

Stamp your image again (ctrl+shift+alt+e). This time you are going to add a lightning effect. Use the defult one and then make it light above the person. The sig should now darken a bit on the edges.

step7-3.png

Step 8

Now make a gray rectangle beside Matilda's head on the left side. I made it in the same gray as the background. Make this on a new layer. Look on the left of her.

step8-2.png

Step 9

Add some text above that rectangle. Like this:

step9-2.png

Step 10

Add a border on a new layer and then some more light textures, just to make it look more complete. This is how mine looks like now:

step10-2.png

Still one more step though.

Step 11

Stamp your image (ctrl+shift+alt+e). Go to filter>sharpen>sharpen and then you can erase those parts that looks too sharpened.

Finished!

Easy huh?
