No when you have the eraser make sure the pattern is clicked not the picture so the pattern is erased, and when you click the rectangular tool there is a box in the top line saying feather change the value to 22-25 any one you prefer.

Okay guys, we're going from

1-36.png to 2-33.png

With Adobe Photoshop CS3

1. Take your base and prepare it (crop, sharpen ect...)

2. Duplicate your base and set it to screen 100% opacity

3. Duplicate your base again and drag it to the top. Set it to soft light at 50% opacity

4. Make a new fill layer and fill it with daeff4. Set this layer to color burn at 25% opacity

5. Make another fill layer and fill it with fff300. Set it to soft light at 10% opacity

6. Create a new selective color layer and use the following settings...

REDS:

C: -100

M: 0

Y: +100

B: 0

YELLOWS:

C: -100

M: 0

Y: -100

B: 0

NEUTRALS:

C: +5

M: -20

Y: -20

B: 0

7. Finally, create another selective color layer and use the following settings...

REDS:

C: -46

M: 0

Y: +100

B: 0

YELLOWS:

C: +100

M: 0

Y: -100

B: 0

NEUTRALS

C: +10

M: 0

Y: 0

B: 0

And you're done!

In order to use an avatar that has been created by someone else, you need to have a look through the threads of other member's graphics in this forum and find one you like. Most artists don't mind you using their avatars on this board, but what you need to do is Right Click and Save the avatar to your computer. Then, upload the avatar to an image hosting site such as Photobucket (which you need an account for) or ImageShack.

Once you have done that, follow the instructions here to help you use it on the board.

I hope that helps :).
