What does 'kia ora' mean, [x]whacko[x]jen[x]? I'm just wondering because it's actually a brand of orange juice over here...

"Den saka tykkjer eg er vonlaus" & "Eg har velt i koll før slike karar som du er"

(Don't feel left out, all you non-Norwegian-speaking people. I don't really understand it either.)

I'm learning Italian, it's much easier. Just to see if anyone else likes the idea - since we're such a big group of people speaking a whole lot of languages, can't we make some sort of thread in which we teach each other phrases etc in our different languages? For example, say someone wants to know how to say "What is your name?" in Afrikaans, someone who speaks Afrikaans can answer the question... Just an idea, I don't want to start a thread and then no one uses it lol.

I can speak a decent amount of Irish, and some French.

My friends prides herself on the fact she cna say "I am an apple" in 8 languages :lol:

Norwegian (bokmål): jeg er et eple

New Norwegian: eg er eit eple
