Chapter 20

“Now you now the drill this is going to be cold” Flynn says as he picks up the gel and starts to place it over my stomach I flinch as the ice cold gel hits my bare skin, Lucas squeezes my hand softly as if he is trying to reassure me that everything is fine that he knows the uncertainty that is going around in my head, I lift my head to face the screen as Flynn takes the wand and starts moving it around over my stomach,

“It’s still amazing to view even though its going to be our fourth baby” I say softly to Lucas as I stare in awe at the screen,

“I know its amazing to think that you have a little him or her inside of you again” he says his hand subconsciously rubbing my own,

“Well I don’t know how to tell you this but from what I can pick up on there are two heartbeats” I hear Flynn say snapping me back to reality,

“two” I stutter nearly choking on my words,

“twins?” Lucas questions,

“from what I am picking up on yes, lets see if I can pick it out on screen” he says,

“there you go” he says pointing to the screen, I can’t believe this is happening.

“So I’m about one month along right” I say to Flynn as Lucas helps me down from the bed,

“Well from the tests and the scan it appears so” he says smiling at us, oh my god that means we conceived at Disneyworld I think over and over in my head,

“What would you say about maternity leave for Matilda would it be wise to finish sooner so to avoid complications” I hear Lucas ask Flynn,

“Well with the school breaking up for Summer in two months anyway I would say Matilda should be fine to continue working for the next two months as long as she keeps her stress levels down and doesn’t do anything to strenuous, I think it would then be best if you pick up your Maternity leave after the summer break so that you can rest up for the rest of the pregnancy” he says,

“Yeah that sounds like a good idea” Lucas says “Mattie you ready?” he asks taking my hand,

“mmm yeah thanks Flynn” I say smiling as we walk out the door,

“You ok Mattie you went all quiet” Lucas says as we walk outside the hospital

“Yeah I am just thinking how we must of conceived when we was at Disney World for me to be a month along” I say smiling up at him

“I didn’t think about that wow that’s pretty special” he says leaning down to kiss my forehead softly.

“Its just all so amazing but good god Lucas another set of twins how are we going to cope” I say running my hands through my hair,

“We will get through it babe we are great parents and we have the most supportive family ever around us it may be hectic but we can do it” he says “now come on hop in so that we can get back to mums and dads to see our little angels” he adds as he opens the car door for me.

Great update Jackie. Twins They are going to have some tough times ahead with all those children. They are so sweet together its fantastic Hope there is more soon.

Lol! Five kids! Wow Jackie, great update. I actually never saw that coming! I've missed your fics, it's great to be reading your writing again. Aww I hope Mattie takes it easy and all goes well. The poor thing has gone through so much lately.
