princess_jessik Posted September 30, 2006 Report Posted September 30, 2006 Yes. I don't often bother about Selective Colouring because it takes too long, but I decided to experiment with it.
Jess Posted September 30, 2006 Report Posted September 30, 2006 ^^ I hate to sound desperately thick here, but what's 'selective colouring' and how do you achieve it?
Nayden Posted September 30, 2006 Report Posted September 30, 2006 I think you've got lots of potential there. Looking through all the pages, you have definately improved amazingly! You crop good and your choice of colours are nice too. Just keep experiementing with different gradients and so on, just have fun! Keep this up! xxx

princess_jessik Posted October 4, 2006 Report Posted October 4, 2006 Thanks to everyone who commented on my last icon post. I hate to sound desperately thick here, but what's 'selective colouring' and how do you achieve it? Layer> New Adjustment Layer> Selective Colour. As Cat said, jeh-jeh that is how you get selective colouring. I do believe it is only on Photoshop though & is not available on Paint Shop Pro. There are quite a few good tutorials that use Selective Colour posted on the icon-tutorial community on LJ, and Cat has used some in her tutorials. It's good just to experiment with it, as many believe it gives a good colouring effect. Some new Home & Away icons: Feel free to use! Just to let everyone know, I am not going to post any non-Home & Away Icons in this thread anymore. To see all of my icons you can visit my Live Journal
.Cat. Posted October 4, 2006 Report Posted October 4, 2006 Those are gorgeous! I love the Jodi/Sharni ones. May I use one in the future?
