[irene’s cry gets louder, Corey is smiling. She then quickly shots Corey to the floor. Irene sits in shock]

IRENE: Oh god! [irene looks at the gun in her hand]

TASHA: Wait! What does that mean!?

EPISODE SEVENTEEN: Secret Sins Of Us

BEACH HOUSE-LIVING AREA

[belle is making herself a hot chocolate. Irene walks in]

BELLE: Hey, I thought you went to sleep?

IRENE: I did darl, I’ve just been having nightmares…

BELLE: Nightmares?

IRENE: About Corey, everything that happened at the hospital… It’s making me go crazy!

BELLE: You’ll be fine. [belle smiles]

IRENE: I’ll be lying if that was the only reason keeping me awake… Tasha… I can’t rest, I need to know that she’s safe!

BELLE: Same…The past few weeks I’ve hardly slept, worrying about you, Tasha, Robbie…

IRENE: Love, are you sure when the cops checked out that farm, that it was really backpackers?

BELLE: That’s what they told us… Why, you think they were just saying that?

IRENE: I’m going to give Jack a call… Surely something fishy is going on.

BELLE: Irene, he said the cops would look after it!

THE FARM- TASHA’S TENT

[Tasha is barely moving, her eyes are full of tears. Charity walks in]

CHARITY: Tash… Are you ok?

TASHA: What’s going to happen to me? [Charity struggles to say something] What’s going to happen to me!?

CHARITY: They’re planning to burn you, so that your ashes live on within the nature and your sole will be in eternal heaven…

TASHA: What? Why?

CHARITY: She’s a nutcase! I have no idea why Mamma Rose thinks the way she thinks… But we’re running out of time.

TASHA: How much longer…? Until the ceremony?

CHARITY: Not long… Sooner then I anticipated…

THE HOLDEN HOUSE-LIVING AREA

[Kit is pacing around with the pregnancy test in her hand. Kim walks in, she hides the stick]

KIM: Hey, feeling any better?

KIT: Um, yeah kind of. [Kim kisses Kit, he notices she’s hiding something]

KIM: What are you hiding?

KIT: Um, nothing.

KIM: Yes you are, you have something behind your back! [Kim tries to get it out of her hand]

KIT: Kim, please. Leave it alone. [Kim takes it out of her hands and notices what it is]

KIM: A pregnancy test… Are you pregnant Kit? [Kit just stares at Kim]

THE BEACH HOUSE-LIVING AREA

[belle comes down the stairs, Irene is pacing around the room]

BELLE: Irene, slow down it will be ok.

IRENE: It wont be ok Belle until I say it’s ok. [There’s a knock at the door, it’s Jack] Oh Jack, thanks for coming love, sorry it’s late!

JACK: No, it’s ok… But are you sure you want to check this place out? Last time we did it was just a bunch of backpackers.

IRENE: Well we’ll just take a risk. Who knows, those people could have been lying to you. [irene walks out the door, Jack and Belle look at each other] Are you two coming or what?

BELLE: Irene, it’s midnight soon. Can’t this wait until the morning?

IRENE: No Belle, it can’t… Now are you coming or not? [belle walks up towards Irene along with Jack]

THE FARM-TASHA’S TENT

[Charity gets up to walk away]

TASHA: Where are you going?

CHARITY: I’m going to get help.

TASHA: No, please don’t leave me here by myself!

CHARITY: It will be ok Tasha! I’m going to get help!

TASHA: No, stay! Can’t you help me another way?

CHARITY: Tasha, hopefully I should be back my midnight.

TASHA: Why midnight?

CHARITY: That’s when they’re going to begin… [Tasha seems shocked and looks at her watch]

TASHA: It’s twenty-five too. You’re never going to find help with twenty-five minutes to go! Please Charity! Can’t you help me some other way? [Mamma Rose walks in with two men]

MAMMA ROSE: Charity, what are you doing in here?

CHARITY: Mamma Rose! I was just trying to calm Tasha down, telling her that what we’re doing is for the greater good. That this is all caused by her faults… [Mamma Rose smiles] I’m going to let you guys deal with her though ok. [Charity smiles and runs out, Mamma Rose looks at Tasha and grins]

MAMMA ROSE: It’s time Tasha. [One man unlocks the chains, another one grips onto Tasha]

TASHA: What are you going to do to me?

MAMMA ROSE: Everything will be done for the greater good my child! [The men drag Tasha out of the tent]

TASHA: Let me go!

MAMMA ROSE: There’s no use fighting Tasha, this is the end!

TASHA: Let me go! [Tasha screams, struggling to get out of the men’s grips]

THE HOLDEN HOUSE-LIVING AREA

[Continued from before]

KIM: The reason you’ve been sick is because you think you’re pregnant?

KIT: Maybe… I don’t know, it’s just a thought that crossed into my head. [Kim looks at the test]

KIM: How much longer does it have?

KIT: It should be done… What does it say? [Kim scans the test]

KIM: It has a red line. [Kit has a sign of relief]

KIT: Ok, that’s good! [Kit says smiling]

KIM: What, you’re pregnant?

KIT: No, no! I’m not! This is a good thing! [Kit hugs Kim]

KIM: Wait, what do you mean this is a good thing?

KIT: Well did you really want to start at a family at this age Kim? I don’t want children for at least another five, ten years.

KIM: By then we’ll be in our thirties!

KIT: Yeah I know… Wait… Do you want children now?

KIM: Most likely yes… I was ready to start a family with Hayley last year remember!

KIT: Yeah, but I thought you wanted to be a father because you felt like you had too…

KIM: No… Because I wanted too. So… That’s how you see yourself in ten years… Starting your family then?

KIT: Well yeah… Obviously you want to start now…

THE FARM-THE LAKE

[Everyone is bunched around next to the lake. Tasha is screaming, the two men push through the crowd with Mamma Rose following from behind, the crowd begin to talk loudly]

MAMMA ROSE: Quiet my children! Quiet! You are about to witness the death of Natasha, our Lord that gave us that precious little baby girl. [Mamma Rose smiles and looks at Tasha, Tasha looks scared] But before we begin, we must clear her soul of her sins so that she can live in eternal heaven with the gods! [The two men push Tasha in front of Mamma Rose, she’s chained up and Mamma Rose get’s a hold of her. Tasha has fear in her eyes] There’s nothing to be afraid of my dear. [Mamma Rose smiles]

JACK’S CAR

[Jack is driving along the road, Irene is sitting in the passengers seat with Belle behind]

IRENE: What if they’re not there… Then what happens?

JACK: Well we keep on doing what we’re doing at the moment.

IRENE: Which is flippn’ what exactly? [They notices Charity running on the side of the road, she’s screaming telling them to stop, Jack pulls over]

CHARITY: Stop! Please stop!

BELLE: Hey, that’s the girl that kidnapped Tasha! [Jack gets out with is gun]

JACK: Stand still and put your hands where I can see them!

CHARITY: No you don’t understand! [belle gets out, Charity notices her] You?

BELLE: Where is she?

CHARITY: Tasha? She’s down at the farm! You have to save her! They’re going to burn her!

IRENE: What!?

JACK: What!? [belle looks shocked]

CHARITY: Come on! We have to go there’s no time! [Everyone gets in the car, Jack speeds off and puts his sirens on]

BELLE: Why are you doing this?

CHARITY: Doing what? I’m trying to save her!

IRENE: How long does she have left?

CHARITY: Not long, what time is it?

JACK: Ten too twelve.

CHARITY: We have ten minutes then. [Jack speeds even faster]

THE FARM-THE LAKE

[Everyone is standing around the lake with torches etc, there are two figures in the water, it’s Mamma Rose and Tasha]

MAMMA ROSE: Lords! Cleanse Natasha of her sins! Greed! [Mamma Rose dunks Tasha into the lake, holding her down for a few seconds, Tasha is struggling to keep her breathe, she pulls Tasha up]

TASHA: What are you doing?

MAMMA ROSE: Anger! [she dunks Tasha down again for a few seconds, people watch on, she pulls her back up] Pride! [Once again she dunks Tasha into the lake]

JACK’S CAR

[Jack’s still speeding]

CHARITY: Hurry! We don’t have much time!

IRENE: How much longer until we get there?

CHARITY: A couple of minutes.

IRENE: God! Hold on Tash! [irene looks at the clock, it’s 12:03am]

THE FARM-THE LAKE-MAMMA ROSE’S TENT

[Mamma Rose is drying Tasha off with a towel, she smiles towards Tasha]

MAMMA ROSE: You’re all cleansed of your sins my child. Time for the ritual to take off. [Mamma Rose smiles again. Two men hold Tasha and tie her to a poll nearby. People begin to throw wood towards and around the poll]

TASHA: What are you doing?

MAMMA ROSE: It is time Tasha. [They stare at each other for awhile, and then Mamma Rose throws her fire torch to the pile of wood, it begins to burn] May you rest in eternal peace my child! [sirens from the background are heard. People begin to scream and run off, so does Mamma Rose. Jack pulls up, they all race out of the car towards Tasha]

JACK: Tasha!

CHARITY: Tasha!

TASHA: Help! Quickly! It’s burning! It’s so hot! [irene and Belle try to put the fire out with their jumpers, Charity throws a bucket of water onto the fire. Jack just leaps into the fire, tackles the poll and he and Tasha fall to the ground] Oh! Oh thank god!

JACK: Are you ok? [Tasha begins to cry]

IRENE: Where’s the baby? [Tasha looks around]

[Jack enters Mamma Rose’s tent and sees Rebecca, he picks her up and walks outside, he gives her to Tasha]

BELLE: Where do you think they all went?

CHARITY: Who knows. This place is surrounded by bush.

TASHA: Thank you Charity! Thank you! [Tasha hugs Charity, from the distance Mamma Rose watches and overhears. She looks disgusted, now knowing that Charity was the one that helped Tasha escape]

THE HOLDEN HOUSE-LIVING AREA

[Kim is lying on the lounge, Kit walks in]

KIT: Are you coming to bed?

KIM: Nah, I’m comfortable… I’ll just crash here for the night thanks. [Kit looks upset and walks away]

THE BEACH HOUSE-LIVING AREA

[it’s now morning. Belle is making herself breakfast, Tasha walks in]

BELLE: Hey!

TASHA: Morning.

BELLE: How did you sleep?

TASHA: I didn’t sleep at all! I couldn’t sleep. Especially with Robbie not by my side… How long is he going to be in the city for?

BELLE: Um, I dunno. [irene walks in]

IRENE: Whose in the city?

BELLE: Um Robbie. Remember Irene, he went shopping for the wedding or something.

IRENE: Oh… Oh… Yeah. That. [irene tries to smile and walks away, Tasha looks suspicious]

TASHA: I might give him a ring then… He has to know that I’m ok after everything that happened.

IRENE: Ah… No, I don’t think that would be best… I mean Belle rang him before to tell him that you were found and safe.

TASHA: Nah, I need to hear his voice, I need to talk to him. [belle races to the phone]

BELLE: After I make this phone call! [belle smiles, Tasha knows that something is up]

TASHA: Ok… What’s going on? [irene and Belle look at each other]

THE REVENGE HOUSE-BEDROOM

[Tracey is trying to sleep. A baby in the background is crying. Zoe races in]

ZOE: It’s ok Holly! It’s alright! [Zoe hugs the baby, which looks about a year old, Tracey wakes up]

TRACEY: Can you shut her up please!

ZOE: I’ll take her in the other room…

TRACEY: Just get her away from me ok! [As Zoe is walking out, she stops]

ZOE: Tracey, I know you’re not liking this, but we have to make an effort!

TRACEY: An effort on what? You took back the baby that you had with a man that you used to have feelings for… I’m sorry, that you still have feelings for.

ZOE: Tracey, I know this is hard for you. It’s hard for me too!

TRACEY: But you still want him! [Zoe says nothing] Don’t you? [Zoe walks out] Eve, don’t walk away from me when I’m talking to you! [The baby starts crying again]

ZOE: Tracey! Please! If this is the way you want us to be… Fighting… Then what’s the use of staying together?

TRACEY: Because we have a job to do… I’m helping you finish what you created!

ZOE: Oh, so is that how you see us? Together, just because you’re helping me finishing off my plans? [Tracey says nothing] I love you Tracey! How dare you say that!

TRACEY: I love you too! But it’s hard for me to express that knowing you have feelings for someone else! [Zoe walks into a room] What are you doing?

ZOE: I’m changing. I’m going outside.

TRACEY: What? You’re going to get caught.

ZOE: I didn’t get caught last time in disguise… It will all be ok. [Zoe begins to change]

TRACEY: Why are you going outside… Too see him? [Zoe just looks at her. Tracey walks away]

ZOE: Tracey! Where are you going?

TRACEY: Well if you’re going to chase love, I’m going to go chase our victims. We’re never going to get them all together if you’re running around after a pretty boy.

THE HUNTER HOUSE-LUCAS’ BEDROOM

[Matilda knocks on the door and walks in]

MATILDA: Hey.

LUCAS: Hey… [They stare at each other]

MATILDA: What are you doing?

LUCAS: Nothing… I’m bored… What about you?

MATILDA: Same… Belle gave me a call before, Tasha’s ok, and everyone else is at the hospital picking up Robbie.

LUCAS: [Lucas smiles, Matilda sits on the bed] So then… We have the house to ourselves? [Matilda smiles and kisses Lucas. They kiss for awhile]

MATILDA: Oh, I’ve wanted this for ages Lucas!

LUCAS: Same here. [They smile and keep kissing. Lucas takes her top off. He kisses her neck and then sees her scar from the burns. He pulls away]

MATILDA: What’s wrong? [Matilda looks at her burns] Oh, I should of known… [Matilda puts her top back on and begins to cry]

LUCAS: No, Matilda. I was just in a state of shock.

MATILDA: Oh I’m sure you were. [Matilda storms out]

LUCAS: Matilda… Matilda!

THE BEACH HOUSE-LIVING AREA

[irene and Tasha are sitting on the lounge, Belle is standing behind them]

TASHA: What do you mean he’s lost five years of his life!?

BELLE: When he was hit over the head he was bleeding a lot… Which caused memory loss.

TASHA: So he doesn’t remember anything that’s happened since 2001? [belle shakes her head] So then that means he wouldn’t remember me… [irene hugs Tasha] I want to see him.

IRENE: Tash love, Robbie was told this a few days ago… Let him cope with it for awhile, how do you think he’s going to react when he finds out he’s married with a baby?

TASHA: But he has to remember… Maybe him seeing me will make him remember…

IRENE: Maybe… But just let him be for awhile love. [The baby begins to cry] Go, Rebecca needs her mummy. [irene smiles, Tasha walks away crying]

BELLE: That kind of went better then how I thought it would…

THE BEACH

[Kim is walking along the beach. Zoe is doing the same thing, holding her baby. She’s wearing a black wig with sunglasses. You can’t tell that it’s her, Zoe runs up to Kim]

ZOE: Excuse me! [using an American accent] Excuse me!

KIM: Sorry?

ZOE: Something is wrong with my car… I don’t know what’s wong with it… Would you be able to fix it for me?

KIM: Um… I could try. [Kim smiles]

ZOE: Thank you so much…This way. [Zoe begins to walk up the beach]

SURF CLUB- CAR PARK

[Kim is looking through the engine. Zoe is sitting in the driver’s seat]

KIM: Ok… Try it now. [Zoe turns the car on, it sounds normal]

ZOE: Oh, thank you.

KIM: You’re welcome. [Kim smiles] What was your name again?

ZOE: Um, Zoe.

KIM: Zoe?

ZOE: Yeah… [Zoe says smiling] Is something wrong with my name?

KIM: Nah, nah, nah… I once dated a Zoe… Who turned out to be a murderous stalker.

ZOE: Oh… How dreadful… Were you in love with her?

KIM: Are you crazy? I was… And I couldn’t say it to her face… Then something happened with two of my friends and their baby and it all just went downhill from there.

ZOE: Oh… That’s a shame…

KIM: Yeah… Story of my life… [They stare at each other] You look like someone I know.

ZOE: Really? Who? [Trying to avoid eye contact]

KIM: Just… Just someone I knew… Actually I saw Zoe the other night…

ZOE: Really? What happened?

KIM: Another long story, but to cut it short when we saw each other, we just looked at each other… I know she’s a criminal and a fugitive… But seeing her again just made me create feelings for her once again…

ZOE: Sounds like a tragic love story. [Zoe laughs] If you could have your time with her again… Would you? Now knowing who she truly is? [Kim begins to think]

KIM: I wouldn’t know… I have a fiancée to think about if that option ever came up… But I would think about it if she turned up in my life again. [The baby begins to cry in the backseat. Zoe goes to take care of her] How old is she?

ZOE: Just over a year… I had her early before my due date. [Zoe smiles]

KIM: When were you supposed to have her?

ZOE: Early December. Had her early November. [Kim smiles at the baby]

KIM: She’s so cute… Are you married?

ZOE: No. But she takes after her father. [Zoe says smiling]

KIM: What happened to the father?

ZOE: We had a fight because I thought he cheated on me… Then I had a near death experience after being in a burning building and it was then I found out I was pregnant with her… After I left the father… [Kim giver her a strange look] Can we get in the car for a second… Please? [Kim doesn’t know what to say, he looks at the car again. He then has a flashback to when he saw Zoe and Tracey the night Tasha was kidnapped]

KIM: The car.

ZOE: I’m sorry?

KIM: The car… It was hers… [Kim looks at Zoe] Zoe? [Zoe doesn’t know what to do. She then smiles]

ZOE: Surprise. [she says in a whisper]

KIM: Oh my god!

ZOE: No! Kim please! Stay quiet!

KIM: Oh my god!

ZOE: Please, I’m not here to hurt you! Just stay calm. Think of the baby… [Kim looks at the baby]

KIM: That baby… That’s-

ZOE: That’s your baby Kim. [Kim looks completely shocked]

THE SURF CLUB-NOAH’S

[Matilda runs in, looking sad. Drew notices her, he walks up to her]

DREW: Hey…

MATILDA: What do you want?

DREW: Is everything ok?

MATILDA: Yes… No… Why do you care?

DREW: Because I’m trying to be your friend here… Is it Lucas? [Matilda says nothing] It’s Lucas isn’t it? What has he done?

MATILDA: He didn’t do anything. It was the look he gave me that hurt me.

DREW: The look?

MATILDA: … When he saw my scar.

DREW: Oh… [Lucas runs in]

LUCAS: Oh Matilda!

MATILDA: Go away Lucas! [Lucas notices she’s talking to Drew]

LUCAS: What are you doing with him?

MATILDA: It doesn’t matter.

DREW: Just go away. Mate!

LUCAS: I don’t have to go away mate! [Lucas pushes Drew back]

DREW: Hey, I wouldn’t do that if I were you. [Drew whispers into his ear] Because I know your secrets… I’ll tell the whole Bay that you’re gay.

LUCAS: I’m not gay! [They pull away from Matilda. Matilda watches on as they whisper]

DREW: Will the town believe you though? How will they know that you’re not gay?

LUCAS: And how will they know that I am? [Drew smiles]

DREW: Everybody! [Getting everyone’s attention] Can I please have your attention! Lucas Holden has been hiding something from all of us! [Lucas covers his mouth]

LUCAS: Will you shut up? [Drew smiles]

DREW: You won’t be so lucky next time… I wasn’t going to tell anyway… Well not just yet… I’m going to play you like a dog Lucas. You might think I’m going to tell when I actually won’t… But how will you know when I actually will? [Drew says giving him a grin] Ah the pain of torture… You don’t know what’s going to hit you mate! [Drew walks off. Matilda walks up to him]

MATILDA: What was all that about? [Lucas stares back as Drew exits]

SURF CLUB CAR PARK- ZOE’S CAR

[Zoe and Kim are sitting in the car]

KIM: I don’t… I don’t get it… Where have you been this whole time?

ZOE: Around… I couldn’t go far…

KIM: Why Zoe?

ZOE: Why what?

KIM: You doing what you do… The bombs, the killings… Why?

ZOE: That’s none of your concern right now Kim… The concern at the moment is… Would you consider getting back together? [Kim looks at the baby]

KIM: What’s her name?

ZOE: Holly… [Kim looks back at Zoe and they just stare at each other]

KIM: Where have you been living this whole time?

ZOE: Just outside of Summer Bay… Do you want me to take you there? [Kim just stares at her] I’m not going to hurt you Kim…

KIM: How do I know this isn’t one of your tricks?

ZOE: Well you got in the car with me… That’s a starter. [Zoe says smiling. Kim smiles back] Great! [Zoe starts the car, they drive off]

THE JAIL- JESSE AND KANE’S CELL-VISITING ROOM

[Jesse is doing pushups, Kane is reading a book. An officer unlocks the door and walks in]

OFFICER: McGregor, Phillips. You both have a visitor. [Kane and Jesse look at each other]

[in the visiting room, criminals are seeing their loved ones. Sitting on a table by herself is Tracey, she smiles]

THE REVENGE HOUSE-LOUNGE ROOM

[They enter the lounge room]

KIM: Um… Wow… This is pretty good.

ZOE: Yeah… [They smile] You’re finding this awkward aren’t you?

KIM: Is it that obvious?

ZOE: Kim, please. Everything that you heard and knew about me… Forget about that. And remember me the way I used to be before this whole stalker business.

KIM: That’s just the thing Zoe… I fell in love with Zoe, not a stalker.

ZOE: But it was still me…

KIM: Zoe… I don’t know about this… The things that you’ve done, you’re going to be put away for a long time. A very long time!

ZOE: So? You’re just going to let my criminal past get in the way of us?

KIM: It’s not that easy to forget. [They just stare at each other. Zoe pulls in for a kiss, she pulls away]

ZOE: Did that make it easy for you Kim? [Kim just stares back and pulls Zoe towards him, they begin to pash]

THE JAIL-VISITING ROOM

[Jesse and Kane sit down at the table across from Tracey]

JESSE: Who are you?

TRACEY: Me… I’m your jail free card. [Tracey says smiling]

KANE: What?

TRACEY: I’m going to help you two escape.

KANE: Why? We don’t even know you.

TRACEY: Oh I know you… And I don’t like seeing you two in here. This place is hell, and you two don’t deserve that now do you? [Tracey gives them an evil smirk]

JESSE: What’s in it for you?

TRACEY: Revenge.

JESSE: Revenge? On who?

TRACEY: On yourselves. [she says again smiling]

KANE: Lady, I don’t know who you are but-

TRACEY: I’m a detective with a few ambitions in life, and I want to help you escape.
