Charlotte Adams Appreciation

I always thought Charlotte could have been a fantastic character but they failed to see her potential. They made her into the victim in everything when she would have been much better as a strong, feisty character. Her ending was also completely unnecessary. It was a real shame what was done to her IMO.

Charlotte was always kind of "blah" to me. Nothing wrong with her, but she doesn't stand out as a remarkable character. Her death is the only thing that makes her memorable.

Exactly. But when she first arrived she had so much potential as a feisty, independent young woman. She also had the bonus of her unusual looks (a bit like Amy Matthews in the show now). She could have been one of the more original and interesting female characters they'd had for a long while, but they ruined her by making her so down-trodden. I think in the end they realised their mistake and killed her off so that at least she'd be remembered for something interesting. Such a shame. :(

I’m glad she wasn’t another typical feisty woman – Charlotte was definitely not down-trodden as a character, I think the actress had a major part in that. But they could have gone down numerus routes with her character, after all she was quite strong, but still had her insecurities – but she wasn’t a victim. She never played the character as a victim.

I think she definitely could have gone on in many ways after her break-up with Jude. I would have loved to have seen the storylines she had, spread out a few months apart, instead it all happened within what 3 months? – it was way too much at one time.
