I would advise you to watch from the beginning and make up your own mind about what your favourite is. Mine is season three as well, apart from Chase in general.

Day 3 with the virus is the first one I watched and so I cant really say out of all them which is the best but I have season 5 on dvd so maybe I am biased. Series 3 rocked and had me on tenterhooks from beginning to end :) so maybe you do what Dean said and watch it from the beginning :)

My advice would be start from the beginning with season 1... the first and arguably the best (twists that you weren't expecting etc, before it all became a bit predictable).

Seasons 2 and 3 are pretty damn awesome

Season 4 was a bit of a disappointment - focus mainly on drama, with realism cast aside for the thrill and more twists than you could shake a stick at

Season 5 was good, not as good as 2/3, but really struck a cord at times

Season 6 wasn't really special for me. Had its moments, but I think a lot of people are hoping for a revival of the series in 7.

You've time to see them all before season 7... you only need 6 days :P Not sure how many characters they'll re-introduce, as people have a habit of popping up, so may help your understanding of the full story and Jack's ordeals since Season 1 family-wise, relationship-wise and everything else hes been through. Can't really recommend a season that will give you all the background.

Saw Redemption the other day - a very cool intro to the next season. Trailer makes more sense now I've watched it

lol Cheers everyone for your help! I've asked for the boxsets for Christmas. So fingers crossed I get to see most of them if not all before day 7 starts. I'm going to see if I can find season 1 online some where. I'm looking forward to watching it, as it looks like a programme I'll really get into, I don't know why it's took this long for me see what all the fuzz is about. But it's better late than never.

I wouldn't say he is on the run, as he wouldn't be arrested or anything if he turned up in the States, but he is in more of a self-composed exile.
