“Am I lateee?” Dan asked grinning as he walked in.

“Not late, drunk,” Jessica giggled.

“Marry me Jess!” He laughed. She just raised her eyebrows in return and walked off.

“Oh,” he said frowning,” Jodi, will you marry me?” He asked her grinning.

“Nope,”

“Tomorrow?”

“Never,”

“Why not?”

“I’m already married, remember?” Jodi reminded him.

“Who to?’

“Paul,”

“Aww, he stole my woman!”

“Whatever” she said walking away from him.

“Shall we dance?” Paul asked his wife.

“We shall,” she replied grinning. Nic leant against the wall watching Paul and Jodi dance, now where is my dance? He asked himself.

“Nic, dance with me?” A quiet voice spoke up. He turned towards her.

“Claire?”

“Yes, I’m so sorry Nic,” She said softy, reaching for his hand. He let her grab it.

“Don’t worry, were together now, that’s all that matters,” he replied.

“I guess I was, some kind of a b!tch for taking Ava and leaving,”

“Well, yes,” He admitted. Claire laughed.

“Do you mind, I’m apologizing,” Nic just smiled, “My mother had a stroke and I had to go there as soon as possible, I know I should have left with more then a note, but I was so worried I had to go, do you know what I mean?”

“Yes, I do, I had no idea, it would have been better if you told me, for a whole there I thought you had left me,”

“Left you? Nicolas I love you,”

“I love you too, Claire, im just glad your back, although it was a bit of a surprise to see you at the wedding,”

“Jodi and Paul invited me, I thought it would be nice to surprise you,”

“Can I have my dance now?” he asked her.

“Defiantly,” she agreed as they made their way the dance floor.

“Kate, I have had my eye on you the past year,” Daniel slurred.

“Dan, take a hike!”

“Aww, but honey,”

“You’re drunk!”

“Goodbye, Dan,” Kate sighed as she walked away from him.

“Why does everyone keep on walking away on me,” he cried.

“Because your drunk mate,” Jason laughed patting him on the back.

“Don’t even think about cracking on to me,”

Jason screwed his nose up in disgust, and said “eww.”

“Well I am gorgeous, hehe, but not that way inclined,” Dan laughed.

“And also up yourself,” Jason added.

“Look at them,” Sarah sighed, “they are so in love.”

“Yes, Claire and Nic are,” Emily added as her head rested on Sarah’s shoulder,” but so are we.”

“Defiantly,” Sarah agreed.

“Tonight is the night of love,” Katrina spoke up,” I mean honestly look around the room, Jodi and Paul are dancing, along with Mark and Rachel Beck, Amy and Chris, Nic and Claire. Go and join them on the dance floor, give them some competition.”

“What about you? We can’t leave you here by yourself,” Emily asked her.

“Don’t worry about me, I’ll go and mingle with everyone and pretend I know what is going on, you know, nod and smile,” Katrina joked.

“If your sure then?” Sarah smiled.

“I’m sure, go,” she laughed as she watched Sarah and Emily head on to the dance floor.

“Now someone to mingle with,” she scanned the room until her eyes landed on Indiana.

“Hey Indi, how are you?” Katrina asked her walking closer.

“I’m fine, thanks”

“That’s good, where did Rhys get off to?”

“He went to have a guy talk with Paul about being married,”

“But Rhys isn’t married,”

“He he, that’s why it is funny,”

“Ohh, “Katrina giggled, “You don’t seem yourself tonight,”

“Yeah, im just exhausted,”

“Its only early though,”

“Yeah I know, it’s just ever since I got out from hospital,” Indiana stopped realizing what she had said.

“Hospital? Are you alright?”

“You didn’t know, did you?”

“Umm…”

“I have cancer, just got out, they gave me a few months,”

“Oh, im sorry, I had no idea,”

“Its fine, haha look Dan is trying to sober up!”

“Bout time, he has asked nearly everyone to marry him,”

“Sorry ladies, mind if I interrupt?” Nic asked them.

“Sure, go on,” Indiana replied.

“I was wondering if I could request a dance from my date, I mean I didn’t bring you for nothing,” he joked.

“Sure why not, ill talk to you soon, Indi,” Katrina replied as she grabbed Nic’s arm and headed out on to the dance floor.

“Babe, im back,” Rhys said smiling as he gave her a quick hug.

“Awesome,”

“Are you aright sweetheart?” Rhys asked Indiana.

“Yes, I...I just need to sit down,” she said softly. Taking a seat gently on the other side of the room, away from the party.

“Rhys, I love you,” She said giving him a weak smile.

“I love you too,” he said taking her hand.

“Would you do me a favor?”

“Anything,”

“Go and get Daniel for me?”

“You sure,” he answered her confused.

“Yes, please,”

Indiana ran her hands through her hair, sighing waiting for Rhys to return. She watched Isabel arguing with Jason, something to do with poker.

“It isn’t fair, you always win!” Isabel pouted.

“Do not,”” he protested as he reached for another can of beer.

“You do too,” she poked her tongue out.

“Correct me if I am wrong but last time, Mark won,” Ada interrupted.

“Ladies ladies, chill,” Tim laughed walking over and placing his hands on Ada and Isabel shoulders.

“Tim, you’re not forgiving about our last bet,” Ada laughed.

“Oh yes, im just too good for the lot of you,” He laughed.

“Take it back,” Isabel said suddenly looking serious.

“Never, “he replied.

“I’m going to getcha!” She laughed as she lunged for Tim, who ducked. Isabel and Jason exploded into giggles as Isabel lay in his arms.

“You wanted me?” Dan asked her.

“Yes, I just wanted to say that, I know you’re a good person, in their somewhere,”

“Are you feeling alright?”

“Don’t ask, I feel as though im going to faint,”

“Oh,”

“Can you help me get up?”

“Sure, I…Why are you telling me this?”” he asked her as he helped her up.

“Because, I want you to hear it,”

“Oh alright,”

“Through here,” Indi pointed as they headed to the toilets.

“I can’t go in there, that’s the ladies room,”

“Stop being a baby, come-on,” Indiana laughed, as she opened the door.

“Im going to just wait here,”

“No, you’re coming in,”

“Fine,” he sighed as Indiana walked into one of the stalls.

Dan looked in the mirror, ”urgh,” he said frowning as he turned the tap on to wash his face.

Indiana emerged from the stall a few minutes later. She walked over to Dan and hugged him.

“I…err…ok,” He said hugging her back.

“Dan, I know, this seems really stupid and wrong timing, but thank you, for everything, ok?”

“Thank me? I have been a real prick,”

“Not to me you haven’t,”

Dan just smiled as he continued hugging her.

“I don’t feel well,” she moaned.

“Do you want me to go and get someone, Rhys?”

“No, please don’t leave,”

“Alright, what do I do?” he panicked.

“Help me,” she cried.

“Oh. Umm. Here sit,” he helped Indiana sit on the floor.

“Im going to go and get someone,” he said as he ran to the door.

“No! Don’t leave!” she cried.

“I don’t know what to do though,”

“Come here please just hold me,” she said softly as her breathing began to become slower.

“Ok,” he said as he went and sat next to Indi pulling her closer, putting his arms around her.

Emily and Sarah stood outside the hall laughing and giggling.

“Look!” Sarah exclaimed pointing to Nic and Claire who were kissing under the stars.

“Come on!” Emily laughed grabbing Sarah by the hand and rushing over to them.

“We have to double date!” Emily giggled as she flung her arms around Sarah.

“Yes! Sounds like a perfect plan,” Sarah laughed.

“If you two are up to it?” Emily added.

“Sure, sounds awesome,” Nic, replied, holding Claire’s hand.

“Yes, might give me a chance to get to know you two a bit better,” Claire spoke up grinning.

“Yay!” Sarah screamed as she turned around and kissed Emily.

“Haha, Paul looked so sexy in a suit,” Jodi giggled to Kate as they walked in.

“Oh my…oh my god, what is going on!” Kate screamed.

“I think she is dying,” Dan said wiping a tear away.

“Don’t say that,” Indi said softy struggling to keep her eyes open.

“Sorry,” Daniel quickly apologized.

“Shall I got and get Rhys?” Jodi asked them.

“Please,” Dan replied.

“What is going on?” Rhys asked as he walked in with Jodi behind him.

“Come here,” Dan replied, getting up and moving away so Rhys could sit with her.

Rhys walked over and sat next to Indiana.

Could everyone please let us be?” he asked them

“Of course,” Kate replied, as they walked out.

“Rhys I love you,” Indiana said softly. Rhys held her hand.

“I love you too, close your eyes,”

“Please, don’t forget me,”

“I wont,” he replied as he put his arms around her.

“I love you,” she said even softer.

Rhys watched Indiana close her eyes. This would be one moment he would never forget.
