Chapter 13

Martha was working her lunch shift at ‘Noah’s’. Jack walked in. Martha’s eyes met Jack’s. Jack turned around to leave.

“Jack, wait!” Martha called after him. Jack kept walking.

“Go after him,” said Beth. Martha ran after Jack. Jack sat down in his car and got ready to start it.

“Stop Jack!” said Martha. She ran to the side of the car.

“Jack, I was going to tell you! I didn’t want to hurt you!” said Martha. Jack started the car and drove it slowly, as there were people walking on the road. Martha ran to the front of the car and stood in front of it. Jack stepped on the brakes quickly. He got out of the car.

“What is it?” said Jack.

“Jack, I didn’t want to hurt you,” said Martha.

“Why don’t you just have an abortion and I’ll get the divorce papers ready,” said Jack.

“I don’t want…” began Martha.

“I don’t know what I saw in you in the first place,” said Jack. “Let’s forget we were ever together.”

Jack sat back into his car and drove off. Martha’s stomach heart and so did her heart.

A girl with blonde hair sat down beside Jack in ‘Noah’s.

“Hi,” she said.

“Hi,” said Jack. He thought she was very pretty.

“I’m Amy, Amy O’Connor,” she introduced herself.

“I’m Jack Holden,” said Jack. “Are you new? I haven’t seen you around.”

“Yes, I just got a job here,” said Amy.

“I’ll show you around sometime,” offered Jack.

“Thanks,” said Amy. “I’ve got to go, see you around. Bye.”

Martha watched from the doorway. She looked at Jack, longingly.

“I love you,” she whispered quietly, so only she could hear. She wiped the tears that were forming in her eyes and she walked back out again.

Chapter 14

Lucas and Matilda walked into the diner, hand in hand.

“You two have got your relationship back on track then,” said Irene.

“Just about,” smiled Matilda. Liam walked into the diner.

“What are you doing with him?” said Liam. “Are you cheating on me?”

“We’re not together!” said Matilda.

“Who said we’re not together?” shouted Liam.

“You hit me,” said Matilda, as calmly as she could. “I thought that meant we were over.”

“Well, we’re still together,” said Liam.

“No we’re not!” said Matilda. “I don’t want anything to do with you!”

She grabbed Lucas’s hand and pulled him towards the door. She turned back around.

“Stay out of my life!” she added.

Matilda woke up to find herself in Lucas’s bed next to him.

“Lucas!” she whispered.

“Mmmm…” mumbled Lucas, half asleep.

“Lucas! We just slept together!” whispered Matilda. “I think I fell asleep here because I felt so tired.”

“So?” said a sleepy Lucas.

“Aren’t you worried what mum and Tony will say?” said Matilda.

“I forgot,” said Lucas.

“Wake up!” she said. She got up and stood on him.

“Okay, Okay!” said Lucas. She tossed him a shirt. Matilda hurried into her room and messed up the sheets a little bit. She then went down to the kitchen to find Lucas making breakfast.

“You’re making breakfast?!” she laughed.

“Why? Can’t guys make breakfast?” said Lucas.

“I don’t think the can!” said Matilda. He started tickling her.

“No Lucas! Don’t! I’m warning you!” she screamed. Lucas lifted her up still tickling her.

“No Lucas! Stop!” she screamed.

“Thanks for waking us up…” said a sleepy voice. Lucas and Matilda stopped as if someone had pushed the ‘pause’ button. Tony and Beth stood in front of them.

“Sorry,” Matilda smiled. Lucas scratched his head nervously. He let Matilda down.

“Dad, Beth, Breakfast?” Lucas said innocently. Matilda giggled.

Matilda had talked about was Liam, Liam and Liam. Not to mention a bit more of Liam.

I have just read your fic the whole way through and it is fantastic. Oh and that line that I've quoted made me laugh loads. xxx

Chapter 15

Irene walked into Tasha’s room and found her packing.

“What are you doing?” she cried.

“I’m moving to the city,” replied Tasha.

“Why?” Irene said, shocked.

“I don’t have anything in Summer Bay,” said Tasha. “Nobody needs me here.”

“You might not have Robbie,” said Irene. Tasha pursed her lips, sadly

“But you’ve got me,” said Irene.

“You don’t trust me either!” said Tasha. “That day, you wouldn’t let me give the message to Mr. Stewart.”

Irene looked at her feet.

“See!” said Tasha, in tears. “You don’t!”

She pointed to the door, signalling Irene to leave. After Irene left, Tasha burst into tears.

Robbie sat at home eating pizza. He drank and ate turn by turn.

“That’s a good hobby!” said Kit. She took a piece of Pizza and started taking small bites out of it.

“I heard Tasha’s leaving,” said Kit. Robbie nodded.

“I also heard you still have feelings for her…” said Kit. Robbie finally looked at her.

“Go…” he said, his mouth full of pizza.

“What?” Kit asked, confused.

“I said, so…” said Robbie, swallowing the bite he had taken.

“So… what are you going to do about it?” said Kit. Robbie stopped eating the pizza and stared at her thoughtfully.

“I’m going to stop her!”

Chapter 16

“I don’t know what to do!” sobbed Martha. Alf and Irene looked at each other.

“Well you could talk to him about what you’re feeling,” suggested Irene. Martha shook her head. At that moment Jack walked in with Amy.

“Thanks for showing me around,” she said. Jack was too busy looking at Martha. Amy followed his eyes in the direction of what he was looking at.

“You like her?” she quizzed.

“She’s my wife, we’ve just split up,” said Jack.

“Hope things work out for you two,” she said. “I’ve got to go, bye.”

“Bye,” he said. She gave a small and quick hug and left. Martha walked up to Jack after Amy had left.

“Have you kissed her yet?” she said.

“I can’t figure out what your problem is,” said Jack. “I haven’t kissed her and I have no desire to either.”

He walked away leaving Martha to cry at what a stupid thing she had done. Alf and Irene looked at each other.

Martha was working at ‘Noah’s’. Jack sat in front of the bar. They looked at each other occasionally. Kit came in and saw them looking at each other. She walked up to them.

“You two are hopeless!” she said.

“Sorry?” said Jack and Martha together.

“I feel like banging both of your heads together! Kit said. “You both know you still love each other but you’re not going to act on it are you!”

“Kit…” said Martha.

“Your pregnant with Jack’s child and both of you are insisting on breaking up. You both are so stupid! You can’t live without Jack and I can prove it by reading your diary!” said Kit.

“Kit! You read my diary!” said Martha.

“But you can’t live without him can you?” she said. Martha didn’t answer and turned bright red. Jack looked at her.

“I’m not going to talk to you Martha until you sort things out because I am sick of all the fighting!” said Kit.

She walked out leaving Martha embarrassed and Jack thoughtful.

Jack saw Martha on the beach. He walked up to her to talk.

“I’m sorry about all the things I did and said,” said Jack. Martha looked at him.

“I’m sorry too, I blamed you for something that Tasha did,” said Martha.

“Let’s forget about al the fights,” said Jack.

“I agree,” said Martha. She turned around to go.

“Wait,” said Jack, he grabbed her hand. Martha turned around.

“Can I have another chance?” said Jack. Martha smiled.

“I’d like that,” said Martha, nodding. Jack leaned in to kiss her. Kit watched from the distance. She punched her fists in the air.

“What’s wrong with you?” laughed Kim as Kit did a little dance.

“I think this is the most successful day of my life,” she smiled. She pointed towards Martha and Jack. Kim nodded.

I think i liked Martha and Jack better when they are fighting, when they are together they are so predictable, but still you gotta love em. Great job.
