Hmmm. Good point.

I suppose that I could send the entire pack (although some of the other brushes aren't fantastic).

My problem is that I have so many brushes and I don't know which belongs to which .abr file :(

ETA: Marieh, all my brushes, except the newest are in a file on the server. But, I have CS so some might not work if you've got an older version of PS.

What I also realised when I downloaded them from your server, Mar, is that your brushes are for the Mac version of PS, not the Windows version (hence why they wouldn't work for me).

There is no difference...

I have never encoutered a single file which says Mac only or Windows only.. I download from the same places that you do and brushes that are made on Windows-computers...

Don't you use .abr files?

Posted

I use .abr files, yes, but I've only ever seen separate Mac and Windows brushes downloads.

OK. I was given the message:

Not compatible with this version of Adobe Photoshop which is when I remembered the different brushes for Mac and Windows.

Which version do you have...?

I have CS, so if you have something older, that might be the reason. Most of the brushes I have are made in 9 or higher.

ETA: Got this reply just now:

Aside from the minor changes in user interface due to the quirks of each operating system, Photoshop is functionally identical under either Windows or Mac OS. You should be able to share brushes without difficulty.

Another reply:

Just to add onto what the person above said - there should be no problem at all - brushes are completely cross platform - but just make sure that the other person does not have a lower version of photoshop than you - if you are using CS2, and the other person is using CS, than they won't be able to use the brushes. But if you are using CS, and the other person is using CS2, they will be able to - make sense? Brushes are downward compatible.

Ahh.

I don't know what version of Photoshop I am using, but will ask my friend (who installed it) later. :)
