It depends on where you download them to --> which settings you have in your browser . Which browser do you use?

I use Mozilla Firefox. The brushes went into the temp file, but when I went to open it again, It wasn't there, :S

Any help would be much appreciated.

I've downloaded a set, don't like it, and want to remove it..?

Right-click the brushes and delete it. You can also delete the .abr-file from the brush-folder.
