Help on Image Editing Software

Ok everyone I'm well and truly stuck!

I am trying to make av's (not very good ones but still) and when I use a brush on the picture and then save it, it saves without the brush bit on it.

Ive spent hours (literlly im sad ) reading this thread to try to find out what to do but no luck

I tried to merge the layers or whatever someone said earlier but it still doesnt work!

What am I doing wrong??

Edit: and oh another problem, when i have all the pictures i am working on along the bottom of the window, and i change the colour of the umm brush thingy for the picture i am doing at the time all the pictures i have used any brush on change to that colour! If that makes sence lol

Have you tried ->layers->flatten image or ->layers->merge layers - or smething like that?

The last one did not make any sence

What are your brushes saved as? That could have something to do with it....

umm there just saved as brushes:S Lol I just downlodedthem and all that and added them to the brushes folder like it tells you to earlier on in this thread.

Did you save them as .abr or some other file extension?

its no good but the only way i could get it with my brushy thingys on it was to screen cap it and put it into paint, which messed up the quality of the pik:( it gave macca red cheeks n stuff:(

Are you putting the brushes on (your image) a new layer?

^ it shouldn't be a problem if she's not because at first I used to put them straight onto my images and they saved ok, I can't think what the problem is!

its very possible its a program/glich error because it shouldn't be changing the colours of your brushes that you have brushed on other images. Have you tried reinstalling the program that might fix it.
