Help on Image Editing Software

I was messing around in PS and I must have hit off something as there are now two little boxes in the corner - one with 01 and the other one's an envelope. It doesn't seem to be affecting the images however its really bugging me . Anybody know how to fix it?

The same thing happened to me, on my laptop (which I don't use much, anymore)...I never really fixed it.

Just press Ctrl + H, and it will go away, but it will still be there if you close/re-open PS.

^^ So theres no getting rid of it ever? It looks like this:

^^ That happened to me, too...you just have to press Ctrl + H before you start work on an icon. I never found a way to get rid of it permanently.

Ok, so I clicked something in PS, and I don't know what. Instead of layers, I now have channels (and paths)... How do I get layers back?

I think you have to re-install PS to get rid of it.
