Now I don't have Mac, but in Windows you get an auto-launch window when you put in the DVD, and then you simply choose "Play with VLC" and it goes as normal from there. If it doesn't work there's always WinDVD for capturing DVDs, but I'm not sure if WinDVD exsist for Mac, and it only caps in .bmp (as far as I know)

Eli Posted January 15, 2007 Report Posted January 15, 2007 Go to Settings>>Preferences>>Interface>>Hotkeys settings Then check "Advanced options" and scroll down until you find the function already using the hotkey "S". Change it to something else (like "Alt+Shift+Q" or something that isn't already used) or simply just remove and uncheck everything so it's left blank. Then scroll down till you find "Take video snapshot" and uncheck all the checkboxes so it's just an "S" left in the slot. Then save your settings. Did that make any sense?

Eli Posted January 15, 2007 Report Posted January 15, 2007 Maybe there is none, I think it depends on the installation or what version of VLC you are using or something. Just try changing the capping hotkey, save and restart VLC. Then try playing a video and see what happens if you push "S". If nothing happens it's probably because two functions have the same hotkey, if it caps everything is okay, if VLC does something else... Well, then you know what S was a hotkey for before you changed your settings (even though it obviously didn't work)

I downloaded it, but there was a file on my computer which stopped it from uploading, and if I delete the file, it could mess up my computer...so are there any other programs?
