That was awesome, I just finished reading the last of those chapters & of couse i take them wherever I go lol!! So it hasnt taken me all day to read them lol!!! I'm glad Jack is okay!! I hope its stays like that!! WOW Lily is a really daddys girl!! Awww Cute!! Can't wait for the next post!!!

Chapter 36

Jack had to be in hospital for two weeks. At the end of the two weeks was Martha and Jack's fifteenth wedding anniversary. Martha hoped so much that Jack would be better by then, as she had a special surprise planned. She had told Jodi all about it, and she was going to help her organise it. Jack was recovering really quickly. He was making great progress. The doctors were wondering if he would be able to go home earlier than expected. Martha had already got alot of thinngs sorted. This morning she was dropping the kids off at school before going to see Jack. The kids came and saw him every day. He loved seeing them and so did they. Every night Lily left her lamp on, just like she said she would until Jack was able to come home.

TWO WEEKS LATER

Jack was now ready to come home. Martha came to get him, as they were both going to get the kids from school. The twins would meet them at the dinner. They were at high school now and found it totally uncool to be seen with their parents. Martha had nearly got everything ready. Her surprise was to happen in two days time. Jack was so happy at the school gates, to him he was doing what he loved to do most, spend time with his family. Jack and Martha were standing outside in an embrace. Martha kissed Jack on the lips. She had missed doing that so much over the last three weeks. Just being able to hold him felt so good. Her surprise was the perfect way to show Jack how much she loved him.

"Daddy" Lily called out before running up to him and giving him a hug. He picked her up.

"Hey, sweetie" he said to her. Charlie and Indi followed closely behind Lily. "Hey, I missed you guys" he added.

"We missed you to" Charlie said.

"I should hope so, and I hear that the whole town practically turned up to my memorial service" he replied

"I should hope that whilst you've been in hospital, they've found a way to reduce the size of your head" Martha chipped in. Before Martha could carry on Jack distracted her by placing a kiss on her lips. She shut up rather quickly, but their moment of passion ended soon.

"Dad, look it's great to have you back, but could you please stop doing that to mum, it's just wrong" Charlie said

"I'm sorry Charlie but when you're older you'll realise why we show any sort of affection in public" Martha replied.

"Yep, I got it, you're in love, blady blady bla" Charlie added before starting to walk off. Jack and Martha just smiled at each other. They knew that it really did embarrass the kids when they kissed. But Jack just couldn't resist. He kissed Martha again before taking her hand and following to where Charlie was now standing with his head hung low, so that nobody could tell it was him.

"We're not that bad are we?" Jack asked Martha

"Of course not, and what's wrong with two people kissing anyway " Martha replied

"Nothing, but we do do it alot" Jack said kissing her again.

"So what, I really don't care what other people think because I love you and that's that" Martha added before kissing Jack again.

"Five times in two minutes" is all that Jack and Martha heard.

At the diner the twins were sat sipping milkshakes. Chocolate milkshakes to be precise, and as soon as Indi saw what they had she immeadiately wanted one.

"Nice to see nothings changed since I've been in hospital." Jack said.

"Right well seeing as Indi has to have one, do you kids want one aswell?" Martha asked Charlie and Lily.

"Yer, please" Charlie replied

"Same here" Lily added before following Charlie and Indi over to where Jodi and Harry were sitting. Martha and Jack heard Charlie talking to Jodi and Harry about how gross it was to have to see them kissing in public.

"Look mate, we went through exactly the same, why do you think we won't let them pick us up from school anymore?" Harry said. He hadn't realised that Jack and Martha had heard everything he had just said. Charlie on the other hand was just sitting there trying to act casual, trying not to get into trouble. As soon as Harry realised what he had done he shut up.

"Really Harry, well we now all know the reason why we can't pick you up from school, it's not because you need the exercise, it's because we're too embarrasing" Martha said.

After Martha and Jack had had that confrontation, Harry seemed rather quiet for the whole time that they were in the dinner.

"We really do forgive you" Jack said to Harry

"Homestly if I'd have known that you were standing there I really wouldn't have said anything" Harry replied

"We know, so lets just say that it's forgotten, so that you can start talking again and be your normal self" Martha added

"Sure whatever" Harry replied. After the kids had all finished their milkshakes, Harry wanted to go surfing. He was still winning competitions everywhere and was quite well known. Charlie was really good aswell. He hoped that one day he would be as good as Harry. They all agreed that they would go down to the beach, as it was quite a nice day. Harry and Charlie took to the waves, which left all of girls and Jack up on the beach.

Jodi then decided that she wanted to go for a surf aswell, but that was probably just to get away from Jack and Martha who were cuddled up on the beach, and Indi and Lily. She loved them all, but really she found them so embarrasing. Jodi was quite good at surfing but not nearly as good as her brothers.

Eventually they all had to go home, as Lily and Indi were getting tired. When they got home, Martha cooked them all some dinner. As soon as they had finished it Charlie, Indi and Lily all went upstairs to bed. Martha took Jodi into the other living room and started to talk about her surprise. Jodi had done everything that Martha had asked her to. Everything was ready, all she had to do was get Jack to a certain place at 2pm. She knew that she couldn't be too specific as most likely Jack was just outside listening in. She was right, as she opened the door, to go back into the kitchen, Jack was just standing at the door.

"Hey babe" he said and kissed her quickly.

"Hey, is there something you wanted?" Martha asked

"No, not really, just came to see if you were alright." Jack said quickly

"Sure dad, of course you were" Jodi added. Jack didn't even try and back up his story, as he knew that he'd been caught out. He just gave Martha another kiss. "I'm sure somehow mum will find it in her to forgive you." Jodi added before pushing past Jack and Martha to head upstairs to her room. Harry soon followed her as he didn't want to be alone with his parents in the mood that they were in. Harry was right to leave soon. Jack and Martha were all over each other, and like Jodi said, Martha had found it in her to forgive him. Jack just wouldn't resist her. He picked her up a started to carry her up stairs. She put her legs round his waist. They were kissing each other passionately. Martha had already started to unbutton Jack's shirt. They soon entered their bedroom, and were not seen again until late next morning.

As Martha came downstairs Jodi started talking to her.

"Mum, may I just ask, why was dad's shirt on the landing?"

"I don't know, maybe he dropped it there, you know what your dad's like" Martha replied

"Well, he's only been home a day, and his clothes are all over the place" Jodi continued

"Where there any other pieces of clothing lying around?" Martha asked

"Well actually now I come to think of it there was a bra lying around outside your door" Jodi finished. Her voice had got considerably quieter, as she had just pieced everything together. "Eww, mum that's gross" Jodi said quickly before leaving the room. As Jack came downstairs and walked past Jodi, Jodi gave him a weird look.

"What's the matter with her?" Jack asked before giving Martha a kiss.

"Let's just say she found some pieces of clothing lying around and pieced it all together" Martha replied.

"Oh" Jack said before going over to the fridge to get a drink.

"I know, but last night was fun" Martha said

"Why what happened last night?" Harry asked as he entered the room. He immeadiately regretted asking that question. "Actually, you know forget I even asked" he said and just like his sister quickly went into the lounge. As he walked past the stairs Charlie was coming down.

"Hey mate, I'd steer clear of the kitchen, if you thought yesterday was embarrasing, you should see them them this morning" Harry said to Charlie

"Thanks for the warning" Charlie replied. He like the twins quickly went into the kitchen got a drink and then went straight out.

"Jack, what is up with the kids?" Martha asked puzzled

"Martha I hate to tell you this, but I think they all know about our little rendezvous." Jack answered

"Well, I don't care what they think" Martha said before giving Jack another passionate kiss.

Jack and Martha definitely hadn't forgotten about their anniversary. They were all over each other still, much to the kids disgust. Beth knew about Martha's surprise, so the kids were going over there to get ready. Martha was left alone with Jack. She blindfolded him once he was upstairs, and handed him separate peices of clothing to put on. Finally she had gotten him ready and herself. He nearly fell down the stairs. She guided him to the beach, where a group of family and close friends were waiting. She took his blindfold off.

"Happy Anniversary" she whispered in his ear. Jack was amazed at what he saw. Harry had told him that at the memorial service, Martha had found out about the surprise that he had planned. This time Martha had planned it for him. They were going to renew their vows.

Martha went first.

Martha: When you asked me to marry you all those years ago everyone else said and including me if I'm honest give them 6 months or maybe 8 at the lastest and they will be divorced. Well here we are 15 years later with 5 kids and renewing our wedding vows with all our children with us. You were the 1st love of my life and you're going to be the last. I can't imagine spending my life with out you.

Jack: Well im going to be original and use my old ones as I don't have any as you sort of made me do this. Martha, from the moment we first met, I couldn't get you out of my mind - mostly because you drove me crazy. But once we got through the drinking competitions, the nudie runs the fake spider in the bed incident… Once we got through all that, I realised you weren't only a babe on the outside, but you were also an incredibly beautiful woman on the inside. The kind of woman who stands up for what she belives in and who stands by her friends when they need her the most. The kind of woman I could love always. You're the best thing that has ever happened to me, Martha. And I can't imagine my life without you and our beautiful children"

The service flew by. Jack and Martha almost forgot about the people that were watching them. To them it didn't matter who saw them kissing, who judged them, as long as they had each other and their beautiful children nothing else mattered.

OMG i just read like the last 3 chapters. It was scary and sad when Martha was in hospital, then Jack "died" and then he was found and in hospital. And then everything was just perfect after that. Lol. Some really funny parts, especially when Jodi found the clothes lying around the house, i couldnt stop laughing. This is a great fan fic. I love it.
